Title: Assistant Greenkeeper

Reports to: Golf Course Superintendent

Based at: Beaverbrook Golf Club, Reigate Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, KT22 8QX

Salary: up to £27,000

Beaverbrook Golf Club, a private members 18-hole, luxury golf course is looking for talented and committed Assistant Greenkeepers to join the team.

Working with the most up to date machinery, the greenkeeping team are responsible for maintaining a highly conditioned course with smooth and true greens.

With a strong focus on professional development, the department has a generous budget for training and supports our greenkeepers in the completion of NVQ courses and certified training such as chainsaw, spraying, excavator and forklift.

There is also the opportunity for the right candidates to work on in-house construction projects and develop an understanding of irrigation and ecology across the site.

This role could suit an experienced greenkeeper looking for a new challenge at a progressive and exclusive golf club. Applications are also welcomed from unqualified greenkeepers who would be willing to undertake formal education as part of their role.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 greenkeeping qualification (or working towards)
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce a high standard of work
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, motivated individual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Team player who is also able to use own initiative
  • A good understanding of operating machinery
  • A flexible approach to work, work hours and weekend duties
  • Interested in continued personal development and golf

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends
