After almost 125 years the club is relocating from its existing site to a newly constructed course on the outskirts of Norwich, located at Weston Park, formerly the site of an 18th century mansion.
The 300 acre mature parkland landscape features magnificent specimen trees and free draining soils, providing an ideal site for the main 18 hole course and also the 6 hole academy course.
The new course has been designed by Ross McMurray at European Golf Design. Work started in June and is expected to open for play by September 2019. The greens and tees are the first in the UK to be built using Profile, a USGA approved rootzone amendment that offers significant long term growing condition benefits.
The irrigation system, utilises the latest communication technology to offer efficient operation and optimise water use.
A purpose built greenkeeping facility is also under construction and due to be completed early in 2018, including a modern equipment maintenance workshop. The aim has been to provide some of the best staff facilities in the industry with a dedicated training room, comfortable rest room, drying facilities, double bay workshop and cutting unit sharpening room.
We are recruiting a number of roles over the coming months and are particularly interested to receive applications from qualified greenkeepers with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
Applicants with good man management, grow in and proven spraying experience would be advantageous.
