FÖRST WOODCHIPPER DISTRIBUTION EXPANDED INTO EUROPE

Doug-Ghinn-1Redwood Global, manufacturer of Först woodchippers, has now expanded distribution of its market leading range of high performance and robust woodchippers into Europe following a period of significant growth.

The manufacturer has set up strategic dealer partnerships with industry experts in France, Norway and Denmark that will see arboricultural sales specialists solely distribute Först machines throughout the new territories.

In addition, Redwood Global as formed a subsidiary company (Först Gmbh) that is based in Germany to specifically meet significant customer demand in the country.

Först Gmbh and each dealership will distribute Först’s premium range of 6” and 8” wheeled, tracked and PTO woodchippers, all of which have a three year warranty as standard, offering tree surgeons, arborists and contractors complete peace of mind.

Dakota redesign electronic control panel to make it easier to use

Ransomes Reveals New Cushman Hauler Range

Ipswich, Suffolk (November 02, 2016) Ransomes, the Ipswich-based manufacturer of turf maintenance equipment, is the European distributor for the range of Cushman Utility vehicles. The new line of Cushman Hauler utility vehicles which includes the Hauler 1200, Hauler 1200 X, Hauler PRO and Hauler PRO-X, will be showcased at SALTEX 2016.

The all-new utility vehicles offer a truck-inspired design, practical dash, large bed and affordable accessories, ensuring there is a product offering to suit all applications. The Hauler PRO and Hauler PRO-X models feature a powerful 72-volt AC electric drive that can go 50 miles on a single charge.

This drive system delivers full-time regenerative braking, redirecting energy back into the vehicle’s batteries whenever the brakes are applied, recharging the batteries during use and further extending the vehicle’s energy efficiency and range.

All Hauler models are available with a 340-litre (12 cubic feet) durable roto-molded polyethylene bed. The standard poly bed includes integrated divider slots to allow for increased organisation with tie-down points and D-rings. Genuine Cushman bed accessories are also available, e.g. storage attachments for carrying long-handled tools and storage nets.

Functionality extends beyond the bed in the new Hauler design. New features include:

  • A standard rear hitch receiver to help crews tow whatever the day demands
  • Limited slip differential, standard on most models for ensured traction

Ransomes Introduce Ventrac Product Offering

Ipswich, Suffolk (November 02, 2016) Ransomes, the Ipswich-based distributor of Ventrac equipment, has introduced their offering of Ventrac equipment which includes a compact tractor and many optional attachments, ideal for municipal and grounds maintenance applications.

The Ventrac 4500 diesel-powered tractor features a 25hp Kubota liquid-cooled three-cylinder diesel engine and a hydrostatic all-wheel drive. The versatile machine also features a centre-pivoting-articulating frame, integrated weight transfer traction control, 16 available front-mounted attachments and patented hand controls. With the optional dual wheel kit, the 4500 can operate on slopes of up to 30 degrees.

Ergonomically friendly controls have been developed which include an easy-to-reach automotive style parking brake and a relocated weight transfer lever that allows operators to easily adjust for increased stability on slopes and for increased lift capacity.

The sealed electrical system protects fuses, relays and terminals from corrosion and outdoor elements. A new automotive style wire harness allows a quick “plug-and-play” feature for ease of connecting optional tractor accessories.

The optional digital slope indicator with warning light integrates into the dash, providing easy visibility, and allows operators to continuously monitor the degree of slope operation.

Iseki TG Series of Medium Range Tractors

Ipswich, Suffolk (November 02, 2016) Ransomes, the Ipswich-based distributor of Iseki tractors and mowers, has introduced a new series of TG tractors, ideal for municipal and grounds maintenance applications as well as light agricultural use.

The new TG6 series, which replaces the TG5, features a range of four compact tractors – the TG6370 IQ, TG6400 HST, TG6490 IQ, TG6490 HST, TG6620 HST and TG6670 HST.

The TG6370 IQ and TG6400 HST are powered by Iseki three-cylinder, liquid-cooled diesel engines operating at 2600rpm and developing 36 and 39 PS net respectively. Both TG6490 variants feature a four-cylinder Iseki engine developing 48 PS net, and, like all Iseki diesel engines, these power plants have been designed to provide high output with reduced emissions. The TG6620 HST and TG6670 HST are both powered by a turbo-charged four-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine producing 61 PS and 66 PS net at 2,600rpm respectively.

A new ergonomic design with a smoother profile hood provides better accessibility to the engine compartment, and a new cab design offers more space, more headroom, wider opening doors and air conditioning on all models. ROPS is also available on all models.

The TG6370 IQ, TG6400 HST and TG6490 IQ are all available with cabs and ROPS, while the TG6490 HST, TG6620 HST and TG6670 HST are only available with cabs, but come with a two-stage, six-speed hydrostatic transmission.

The TG6370 and TG6490 IQ transmission models have three ranges, each with eight forward/reverse gears and feature the new dual-clutch gearbox for fast and smooth gear changes, plus an automatic mode which utilises the top five gears, which change automatically, especially useful when towing, mowing or when on the public highway.

The contoured nose provides a clear view to the front of the machine; modern combination switches and controls have been employed and there’s a high-quality, soft feel steering wheel, hydrostatic power steering and smooth two-mode adjustable PTO engagement. The main controls are located in a console on the right-hand side of the operator platform and a “feather touch” shuttle lever controlling forward/backward travel is located on the steering column.

Lifting capacity starts with an impressive 1,270 Kg (at ball ends) for the TG6400, 1400 Kg on the TG6370 IQ and rising to a hefty 1,700 Kg on the TG6490 IQ. Optional mid-mounted side discharge rotary cutting decks are available with 1.83 metre (72”) cutting widths.
