Price Turfcare at SALTEX

Price Turfcare at SALTEX: Price Turfcare, the UK and Ireland distributor of the Ventrac multi-implement, all-terrain compact tractor, returns to SALTEX with a new, bespoke stand for this year’s event.

“We’re trying something slightly different this year,” said Managing Director Rupert Price, “which will provide more impact and allow us to have more attachments on the stand. We will be exhibiting the new Ventrac 4520 compact tractor unit at SALTEX, so for some industry professionals it will be their first opportunity to see the new machine. It’s not a radical change in appearance, but there’s a whole series of improvements ‘under the bonnet’ resulting in 30% more available power, giving the best mix of machine performance, operator experience and durability.

“The atmosphere at the show last year, the first after the pandemic, was very positive and, hopefully, will be the same again this year. From a standing start in 2017, Ventrac has become a credible brand in just six short years with more and more groundscare professionals appreciating the versatility inherent in the product. We’re really looking forward to seeing customers, prospects and former colleagues at what is one of the premier shows for the UK groundscare sector.”

GKB to showcase Leaf Reducer

GKB to showcase Leaf Reducer: GKB Machines will be retuning to SALTEX for 2022, showcasing a new solution to the problem of large-area leaf clearance. The GKB Leaf Reducer offers an economic and environmentally-friendly alternative to the time-consuming task of leaf collection – effectively mulching the material and returning it, and its nutrients, back into the surface to the benefit of impoverished soils.

This, and many other innovative machinery solutions for natural, hybrid and synthetic surfaces, will be on show on stand H051.

The Leaf Reducer has been developed in direct response to demand from local authorities, looking for a more sustainable working method to using blowers, vacuums and trucks to collect and dispose of fallen leaves. In a single pass, the flails on the Leaf Reducer collect the leaves before a turbine provides both initial fragmentation and the airflow needed to pull the material into the machine where it is further milled into a fine mulch. The fine ‘porridge-like’ material is then returned to the surface via a rear ejector which can be adjusted to a desired direction depending on the location.

In trials conducted by municipalities in The Netherlands, it has proven not just to deliver labour and cost savings to the task but has proven effective at returning an all-important source of food and nutrients back into the soil. The Leaf Reducer is available with a 1.5m working width, and an adjustable working height to treat areas with both low and higher heights of cut.

The technical team will be on hand to discuss this and other products from the GKB range including the Deep-Clean, for effective cleaning and removal of contaminants from synthetic surfaces and the Deep Tine Aerator (DTA). The DTA is available in four working widths to suit both fine and sports turf surfaces and offers effective compaction relief down to depths of up to 400mm (16”). The DTA features GKB’s unique tine mounting system, utilising ‘blocks’ instead of individual mountings, allowing for more tines per head and reducing downtime when switching between sets

ATT showcase abundance of new features

ATT showcase abundance of new features: ATT will be returning to SALTEX for 2022, showcasing their popular INFINICUT® and TMSystem™ ranges on stand H070. As the only professional sports turf mower that has been specifically designed with electric power and not a re-purposed petrol variant, it maintains best in class for both efficiency and quality of cut.

The continued recurring increase in global energy costs now makes the INFINICUT® a serious consideration when deliberating the move to electrically powered equipment. On their stand at the NEC, the ATT team will have a handy software programme which can help calculate payback on energy which could help to validate any decisions in making the transfer.

As has come to be expected with the quick-moving design team at ATT, visitors will also be able to see a wealth of new INFINICUT® features, including the extension of the range of battery’s they offer to include a new 105AH Lithium variant – allowing users to specify whatever duty cycle is required, with zero compromise. The full range of batteries available can be swapped between mowers in the INFINICUT® collection, resulting in even greater versatility and optimised fleet management.

Under the hood, ATT have continued to refine the electrical architecture of the INFINICUT® with design emphasis on simplification and fewer contact points. Firmware has also been upgraded, as has their popular InfiniApp which is now available for download direct from the iOS App Store. Through the App, every aspect of the mowing operation can be optimised to ensure the attainment of the perfect cut.

In response to the additional technical variations in the way pitches can now be reinforced, INFINICUT® mowers can now accommodate adjustable/removable weight kits for situations where increased down pressure is required. The weight kits can easily be removed when gravity readings are at optimal levels.

A trailing seat is also now offered on 34” variant mowers – extending the versatility of where and how the mowers operate.

Completing the abundance of new innovations, the recently introduced brush system used on the INFINICUT® SM34 Rotary mower will also be on display. This set-up is the only one that sees the brush sit behind the front roller, ensuring maximum grass agitation prior to cutting or vacuuming.

Redexim return to SALTEX

Redexim return to SALTEX: Redexim are excited to be making their post-pandemic return to SALTEX with a new stand providing the platform to showcase their vast portfolio of equipment critical to successful sports turf maintenance.

As their 40th anniversary celebrations continue, the latest iteration of where it all began – the iconic Verti-Drain® – will feature on stand M075, where visitors will also have the opportunity to enter Redexim’s big birthday competition for a chance of winning a ‘fast and furious’ prize!

Redexim return to SALTEX

Redexim return to SALTEX

The very first Verti-Drain® rolled off the production line in 1980, with Redexim UK gaining the rights to sell the now iconic aerator from their inception in 1982. Such was the success and impression that the Verti-Drain® made on the professional market, the name became an eponym for the operation of opening up the ground, with grounds managers to this day understanding the benefits of ‘Verti-Draining’ on a regular basis. Over the years, models were introduced that opened new doors with contractors and golf courses, and while the concept of the Verti-Drain® has been often imitated, its quality has never been matched.

The latest model, the Redexim Verti-Drain® 2519, has now set the benchmark when it comes to high-speed, high-productivity aerators. Featuring a 1.9m working width and an ability to accept a wide range of tine options, the 2519 can cover almost 9000 sq.m per hour thanks to its PTO speed of up to 540rpm. This efficiency, combined with Redexim reliability, has made it a popular choice with both greenkeepers and grounds managers alike.

As thoughts turn to the autumn and the aeration season ahead, thoughts will also be turning to the spectacle that is the FIFA World Cup, kicking off a fortnight after SALTEX. To mark the world’s largest football celebration, and in conjunction with their 40th anniversary, Redexim will be inviting visitors to predict the outcome of this year’s tournament for their chance to be the lucky winner of an experience to remember.

More details of all the latest additions to the Redexim range, and entry into the World Cup competition, can be found by speaking to the technical team on hand across the two days, at the NEC this November.
