Origin Amenity to unveil new liquid nutrition range at SALTEX

SALTEX 2026 is set to be the launch platform for a brand-new advanced liquid fertiliser range from Origin Amenity, when the industry’s leading total solutions provider returns to the NEC this November. Available in four formulations, Nutri-Max has been developed to maximise nutrient efficiency, uptake and turf performance – with all the details on this, and more, available to visitors on stand D090.

Combining two leading technologies – Nutrisphere® nitrogen efficiency and In-Flux – Nutri-Max helps retain more nitrogen in the target area by reducing losses through volatilisation, leaching and denitrification, while improving spray coverage and foliar absorption to minimise leaf run-off. By making more nutrients available through both the rootzone and leaf, Nutri-Max provides a highly efficient approach to liquid nutrition.

With specialist formulations for spring and summer, periods of active growth and cooler conditions, alongside Nutri-Max 26-0-0 for promoting recovery, Nutri-Max promises to deliver consistent colour, controlled growth and improved turf quality while maximising the value of every application.

Besides nutrition, the OAS technical team will also be putting a spotlight on line marking – with markers from the TinyMobileRobots range taking centre stage once again. Proudly offering one of the most comprehensive line marker and paint ranges in the UK, including advanced autonomous GPS line markers, Origin can offer the right product and expert local support to ensure that all sports surfaces from grassroots to elite can benefit from clear, consistent, high-quality results.

Visitors will also have the chance to dive deeper into the TinyMobileRobots range with an exclusive trip to the TMR factory in Aarhus, Denmark, up for grabs in a fun obstacle course challenge taking place in the SALTEX Arcade across the two days.

For sports turf professionals looking for more than simply a product supplier, a stop by stand D090 is a must. Bringing together a comprehensive portfolio of trusted products, innovative technologies and specialist technical expertise, the Origin team can offer practical, joined-up solutions across nutrition, grass seed, plant protection, irrigation, digital tools and more to suit all surfaces and all budgets.

At the heart of Kubota’s SALTEX offering will be the FC Series of out-front centre collect mowers. Designed to provide professional operators with a highly versatile cut and collection solution, the FC range combines excellent productivity and manoeuvrability with a wide range of optional attachments and implements – allowing the machines to be configured for a variety of applications beyond mowing and helping to maximise machine utilisation throughout the year.

Kubota will also highlight their expanded zero-turn range, offering even greater choice for facilities that demand the very best in productive rotary mowing. With petrol, diesel and battery-powered options available, Kubota’s zero-turn machines are ideal for amenity applications thanks to their ability to negotiate obstacles and confined areas while maintaining high mowing speeds and a precision finish.

Completing the display will be an impressive selection of industry-leading compact tractors to suit all applications and all budgets. The entry-level EK1-261 will once again demonstrate Kubota quality in a package ideal for grassroots sports facilities, while machines from the popular L-Series promise to reaffirm why the brand remains a dependable workhorse for everything from routine maintenance to more demanding, specialist tasks.

Efficiency takes centre stage for GKB at SALTEX

With time being an evermore precious commodity to grounds managers, GKB will be putting the focus firmly on efficiency with their product line-up at SALTEX 2026. Launched earlier in the year, and already proving its efficiency credentials with operators across the country, the Deep Tine Aerator High Speed (HS) promises to be a particular highlight of stand B120.

The most recent addition to GKB’s aeration portfolio, the Deep Tine Aerator HS combines high productivity with the robust build quality for which GKB is renowned. Available in 1.2m, 1.6m and 2.0m working widths and with a 3kph working speed, the machine promises superior output without compromising aeration depth or quality – bringing compaction relief of up to 250mm to sports pitches, cricket outfields and racecourses along with smaller areas such as greens and tees.

Exclusive to GKB, the HS model is equipped with a two-speed gearbox, enabling the operator to quickly and easily switch between fast, shallow aeration of the top layer or slower, deeper compaction relief when conditions demand. Further efficiency is brought by the unique tine block mounting system, featuring three 12mm tines or two 18mm tines on one block, significantly reducing the time and complexity of switching between sets.

Visitors looking for high-quality solutions to synthetic surface maintenance will also be catered for on stand A080, with GKB’s popular Deep Clean on show. Launched at SALTEX 2025, the latest iteration of the Deep Clean offers efficient removal of dirt, dust, contaminants and other unwanted particles from all types of artificial turf. Three model widths are available from 1.2m to 1.8m, all providing quick setup and easy operation to keep pitches clean, safe and in optimal play condition.

UK Operations Manager Tom Shinkins will be joined on stand by GKB’s new UK & Ireland Sales Manager Dougie Archibald, both on hand to answer all of your maintenance and machinery questions. So, this November, be sure to stop by, say hello and find out more about the full range of equipment for all types of surface and discover solutions for all turfcare operations throughout the maintenance calendar.

PSD Groundscare welcomes the news that SABO, the German premium grounds care manufacturer, is to be acquired by technology company LDROBOT, subject to customary regulatory approvals and review procedures.

New investment at SABO

New investment at SABO

The proposed acquisition would unite more than 90 years of SABO engineering experience with LDROBOT’s expertise in sensor technology, artificial intelligence and intelligent systems.

For PSD Groundscare, the prospect of an innovative technology partner backing an established grounds care brand signals an exciting opportunity for future product development and growth.

The plans aim to combine SABO’s reputation for quality, durability and practical performance with additional technological expertise and development capabilities. This will give the manufacturer greater scope to develop new solutions while building on its established lawnmower and grounds care portfolio.

PSD Groundscare, Managing Director, Chris Gibson says:

“The planned acquisition isn’t a break from the past, but rather an evolution of a successful company. We understand that SABO will continue to operate as an independent brand and further expand its expertise in lawn and ground care, driven by the leadership of its existing management team

We believe that SABO’s high-quality standards, close cooperation and consistent focus on the needs of professional and private users alike will remain key pillars of the company’s strategy and we look forward to continuing the development of the SABO brand in the UK and Eire”.

SABO Managing Director, Lars Daniel explains that:

“For more than nine decades, SABO has stood for high-quality engineering and cutting-edge solutions in lawn and grounds care. With LDROBOT, we are gaining a partner that opens up additional technological opportunities while respecting our identity as a brand. Together, we are creating the conditions to serve our customers even better in the future”

For PSD Groundscare and its dealer network, the announcement adds momentum to an already exciting period for the development of the SABO brand in the UK and Eire. The prospect of further investment in innovation comes as PSD Groundscare prepares to introduce the new AUTONOMOUS SABO MOWiT PRO PREMIUM at SALTEX, bringing the brand’s latest professional grounds care solution to a UK industry audience.

The launch provides a timely opportunity for grounds professionals and dealers to see SABO’s continued product development first-hand and discuss its place in their operations and businesses.

PSD Groundscare will be exhibiting on stand E046 at SALTEX, where visitors can discover the new SABO MOWiT PRO PREMIUM and meet the team to discuss the full range of equipment from PSD.

Origin proves the right partner for ETC Sports Surfaces

Origin proves the right partner for ETC Sports Surfaces

For contractors ETC Sports Surfaces, the combination of dependable products, responsive supply and a partnership approach makes Origin Amenity Solutions (OAS) a natural fit for their expanding maintenance operation. Director and Maintenance Manager Rory Wells explains how, from a straight-forward supply of chemicals and linemarking paint, a reciprocal relationship has blossomed creating new business opportunities for both parties.

Founded by Rory’s father Simon in 1987, ETC delivers all aspects of sports surface installation and maintenance, serving facilities primarily across London and the South East. Today, approximately 70% of their work comes from repeat customers – demonstrating the value placed on continuity and quality of service. “We’ve used products from OAS and formally Rigby Taylor for a good number of years” explains Rory. “Most notably we’ve relied on paint from the Duraline range which we’ve always found delivers outstanding results on tennis courts, artificial sports pitches and other hard surfaces.”

For ETC, consistency is just as important as performance. “This paint is really bright and colourful and, depending on weathering, delivers a long-lasting finish appreciated by the clients and by us.” He continues, “We know we can take a customer to a site where we’ve used the Duraline paint, and it’s going to be a glowing example of what that venue can expect to achieve with us.”

Alongside sourcing products for their own operation, ongoing open dialogue with OAS Project Manager Peter Read has seen the ETC team pick up projects on the contracting side of Origin’s business. “Peter has always been fantastic to work alongside – a fountain of knowledge and great support – so it’s great to now be working more closely with one another to bring the benefits of great products and first-class maintenance to even more sports surfaces across the country.”

With a comprehensive product portfolio, Origin support contractors spanning the sports turf, amenity and landscaping sectors – providing them with the products to complete line marking and turf maintenance tasks through to renovations, plant establishment, nutrition and ongoing surface care. Peter Read added, “This service and support is available to contractors throughout the UK and we pride ourselves on working in partnership with these businesses to provide the tools they need to complete both one-off renovations and year-round maintenance.”

Rory concludes, “Because they have their own division, Origin understand what is important to us as contractors. They’ve got the products, the people and, importantly, they’re reliable. It works for us because it’s a partnership and not just a transaction of buying and selling products.”
