Launched at APF 2026, the brochure provides a practical guide to the products and expertise available from Origin Green-tech; from trees, hedging and shrubs to tree protection, staking, mulching, fertilisers and ground protection.

A key part of their offer is the British Hardwood Tree Nursery (BHT) range of high-quality, British-grown trees, hedging and shrubs for forestry, farming, estates and landscaping projects.

With more than three decades of experience, BHT has built a strong reputation for quality, UK provenance and plant health. The range is Plant Healthy certified and UKISG assured and in 2025 BHT was awarded a Royal Warrant by HM King Charles III for the supply of trees, tree protection and wooden stakes to the Royal Estates.

The new catalogue brings together the specialist planting stock with the protection, staking, mulching and other products required to establish and maintain successful planting schemes.

With the new planting season approaching, Origin Green-tech has launched its 2026–27 pre-order drive, encouraging customers to secure their plants and protection requirements early for autumn and winter planting.

This includes a comprehensive range of bare root and cell-grown broadleaf trees, conifers, hedging and shrubs, alongside tree protection, stakes, mulch matting and other planting essentials.

Yolanda MacGregor, Trees and Plants Category Manager at Origin Green-tech, comments, “The planting season comes around quickly, and for larger projects, planning ahead can make a real difference. Pre-ordering gives customers the opportunity to secure the species and quantities they need before the main planting season gets underway. With a strong range of British-grown planting stock available through BHT, alongside the tree protection and other products customers need, and our decades of experience, we are well placed to support planting projects of all sizes. We’re looking forward to helping our customers get their plans in place for the 2026–27 season.”

Origin Green-tech is also committed to highlighting the importance of selecting tree protection according to the risks presented by each site. The height of protection required is determined by the animals that need to be excluded, rather than simply the height of the plant.

Customers can contact the Origin Green-tech team for advice on the most appropriate protection for their planting scheme, whether they are establishing woodland, planting hedgerows, undertaking farm planting or delivering a larger landscape project.

Ventrac live demonstrations at SALTEX ‘26

Ventrac live demonstrations at SALTEX ‘26

At SALTEX 2025, in a “first” for Ventrac, and possibly for SALTEX since it moved indoors to the NEC, Price Turfcare, Ventrac’s UK & Ireland distributor, demonstrated indoors, live, the capabilities of the Ventrac traction unit and its numerous attachments. Utilising a specifically designed truck which can deploy 30 degree ramps and obstacles to best show the Ventrac’s slope stability and climbing ability, the demonstration stole the show!

SALTEX 2026 offers the opportunity for a repeat performance. Price Turfcare will have both a static stand and demonstration area which will enable visitors to see Ventrac execute tasks other traction units and mowers are unable to achieve. One of the key characteristics of Ventrac is it’s ability to safely climb, descend and traverse 30 degree slopes whilst using one or more of the 30 plus attachments available. The articulated steering, low centre of gravity, weight transfer and low ground pressure are all contributing factors to this unique capability.

Managing Director, Rupert Price says, “When compared to a single task turfcare machine of similar size, the Ventrac presents an economically compelling and viable solution to many professional turf maintenance activities, especially mowing.” This assertion is validated by the hundreds of customers who are now using Ventrac’s in the UK and Ireland. They have replaced more conventional machines with Ventrac’s to get specific tasks completed whilst meeting their ever more financially challenging targets.

One example of a customer comment is Steve Lloyd, Course Manager at Worcestershire Golf Club.  In a recent interview Steve said “We bought the Ventrac to try and do more than one thing with the power unit. A machine dedicated to one task is becoming more and more difficult to justify to the club”

To see how Ventrac could transform your turf maintenance activities, come and see us at SALTEX or contact Price Turfcare for a demonstration to evaluate some of the 32 attachments available.

BinMaster Sensors and Technologies LLC (BST™) has entered into an agreement to purchase assets of Stevens Water Monitoring Systems, Inc., a company that specializes in providing highly accurate, rugged environmental monitoring equipment: the HydraProbe®, POGO®, and TurfPro™ brands, weather stations, and advanced agrotechnology platforms used for data-driven hydrological and horticultural management.

The acquisition will integrate new product offerings from Stevens Water into the existing BST portfolio, including integrated systems to measure, monitor, and analyze water, soil, weather, and environmental conditions critical to scientific, industrial, and horticultural operations. The products will also enhance the company’s current selection of remote water measurement transmitters under the Senix® brand.

A leader in hydrological and environmental monitoring since 1911, Stevens Water Monitoring Systems, Inc. brings more than a century of innovation to water resource management, soil and weather monitoring, and environmental data acquisition. Its comprehensive portfolio includes liquid level and water quality sensors, advanced soil moisture and electrical-conductivity instrumentation, weather stations, staff gages, telemetry systems, and data acquisition and management solutions.

Austin Benes, Senior Vice President of Sales, will collaborate closely with the Stevens Water team to align and integrate industry-leading sensors, systems, and strategies into the BST enterprise.

“Our collective goal is to bring critical operational measurements together and make that data easier to access and act upon—from inventory levels of stored materials to water, weather, soil moisture, and turf conditions,” said Benes. “By combining proven sensing technologies with connected data platforms, clients will gain critical information to enhance efficiencies across agriculture, water resources, turf management, and industrial applications.”

Stevens Water—and its HydraProbe, POGO®, TurfPro™, and weather station product lines—join the BST family of brands: BinMaster® level controls instrumentation, Senix ultrasonics for liquid and distance measurement, BinTrac® bin weighing systems, and MicroZone™ automated heat controls for the swine industry. The enhanced portfolio will serve a variety of markets throughout the industrial, manufacturing, utilities, turf management, and agricultural industries.

“BST leadership is excited to integrate and grow Stevens Water into our family of brands, products, and services,” said Scott Hudson, CEO of BinMaster Sensors and Technologies. “Stevens’ MEASUREMENTS TO MIND® philosophy—‘what the sensors MEASURE, the MIND sees’—resonates with BST’s existing mission to deliver industry-tailored systems for each user’s bulk inventory and environmental monitoring needs.”
