SISIS set for SALTEX

SISIS set for SALTEX: Long-term SALTEX exhibitor SISIS will be bringing their expertise and a selection of their renowned product range to this year’s show.

For over 80 years SISIS has been designing and manufacturing a range of professional groundcare equipment which is ideal for the maintenance of sports and amenity turf and artificial playing surfaces.

SISIS set for SALTEX

Synonymous with exceptionally dependable, durable equipment, visitors to the SISIS stand (E070) will get the opportunity to see how the products could make a significant difference to their maintenance operations.

The SISIS range of pedestrian scarifiers come highly recommended by those responsible for the maintenance of sports turf, and two of these products will be featured on the stand – the Rotorake 600HD and the Auto Rotorake MK5. With a range of interchangeable reels consisting of thatch removal, thatch control and a range of brush reels, the Auto Rotorake MK5 can be used for several different tasks including scarifying, verticutting and brushing. From the same range, the Rotorake 600HD is a heavy duty pedestrian scarifier and linear aerator. This versatile machine is equally at home when used for regular routine use at a shallow setting or a deeper setting when required. It also contributes to aeration and compaction relief by cutting clean, continuous slits to assist water and air absorption.

For further scarifying requirements, SALTEX visitors will be pleased to see the new SISIS Veemo HD. This tractor mounted heavy duty scarifier provides increased hydraulic power, an easier connection to the tractor to save time, and new twin oil coolers which will improve the cooling process in hot climates. Ultimately, these upgrades will provide more power to cutting heads, enabling the blades to go deeper, whilst maintaining a fast work rate.

Aeration is vital to the health of sports turf and the tractor mounted SISIS Multitiner (available in 1.8m and 1.2m working widths) will significantly help to reduce turf compaction, thatch build-up and boost the overall health of the turf. It has three drums with independent rotation and is low maintenance and its interchangeable tines with a maximum depth of 100mm ensure excellent fine turf care when the time comes to aerate.

SISIS’ experienced and knowledgeable members of staff will also be on hand throughout the two days to offer valuable advice about turf maintenance programmes.

Bayer's new weed control solution at SALTEX

“We can now offer the whole solution when it comes to broad spectrum weed control and our full treatment programme works on a wide range of surfaces from open soil to gravel, fence lines and railway ballast,” he adds.

“We’re always working hard to bring new innovative formulations and sustainable solutions to the amenity sector, and recent changes will help contractors to continue to successfully manage weeds at a time when many products are being lost from the market,” explains Lewis.

Our new product portfolio for the amenity sector includes Valdor® Flex, Roundup® and Ecoplugs, offering a wide range of solutions to the sector.

“Valdor Flex is a residual herbicide offering four months weed control. It can be applied as a pre-emergent herbicide or in post-emergent situations with Roundup®, which provides the initial knock down, while Valdor® Flex offers residual control, preventing subsequent weeds emerging.

“Ecoplugs, which can be inserted into tree stumps to avoid re-growth all year round, also join the Bayer portfolio,” he says.

“At Bayer, we’re continually investing in research and development to ensure we can provide our customers with a wide range of innovative solutions when it comes to weed control and recent updates to the product portfolio will provide many benefits to amenity contractors,” concludes Lewis.

First 6” turntable chipper from Jensen

First 6” turntable chipper from Jensen: What is believed to be the world’s first 6” turntable woodchipper will be launched and on display at SALTEX this month, from the worlds original woodchipper manufacturer, Jensen.

Found on stand H190, visitors to the show are welcomed to come and see the new A530L turntable model for themselves and learn more about this brand-new innovation from the German woodchipper manufacturer.

First 6” turntable chipper from Jensen

The new woodchipper has also been shortlisted in the Saltex 2019 Innovation Awards.

Jensen woodchippers were the world’s first woodchippers, designed in Maasbüll in 1884, so it is no surprise that they have always led the way with innovation in the sector.

The new 6” A530L turntable is the latest in a long line of unique developments available exclusively from Jensen, including bespoke custom builds, touch-sensor safety buttons and turntable functionality on all chippers 8” and above.

With the ability to turn the turntable up to 270 degrees, users can load the A530L from a range of angles around the machine and directly from the verge, not only saving time and effort, but ensuring improved safety for both the operators and members of the public in the vicinity.

The 270-degree rotating chute also means that users can fully configure the input and output directions for maximum efficiency and safety.

Available as a road-towable woodchipper, the new Jensen A530L turntable can be towed behind the operator’s vehicle easily, and its galvanised steel chassis guarantees reduced maintenance, outstanding resistance to damage, corrosion and wear, and a hugely extended life expectancy compared to other woodchipper brands.

The 35hp petrol engine offers supreme power and efficiency, whilst ensuring less pollution and Nitrogen Oxides emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment. This is also recognised as a benefit for those working in Clean Air Zones and Low-Emission towns and cities or tendering for large scale projects where diesel machinery is unfavourable.

Offering the same power and performance as the standard A530L, our most popular model and highly favoured by the industry, the A530L turntable can process up to 15m3/h of timber and brash, with additional benefits including electronic safety sensors fitted as standard, comprehensive toolkit fitted to the machine, built in control box to record hours and servicing intervals, and incorporated storage box.

See the new Jensen A530L Turntable on display at Saltex between 30th and 31st October, on stand H190 and find out more about Jensen at www.jensenchippers.co.uk
