Landini Tractors Back At SALTEX

Landini Tractors Back At SALTEX: Landini tractors new to the turf management and groundscare sectors will feature at this year’s Saltex event on October 30/31 at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham as manufacturer Argo Tractors raises the profile of its Italian marque.

The compact and mid-range models are well-suited to turf care, grounds maintenance and related applications, providing high levels of productivity and fuel efficiency, and a safe and comfortable working environment for operators spending long hours at the controls.

Landini Tractors Back At SALTEX

“Landini is an established range of products from one of the World’s largest agricultural tractor manufacturers,” notes Adrian Winnett, UK & Ireland managing director at the Argo Tractors group.

“They benefit from considerable resources in terms of design and development, manufacturing and distribution, and owners can rely on comprehensive parts and technical back-up from us and from our independent dealers.”

While the complete Landini range extends to highly sophisticated tractors with up to 225hp for agricultural tillage operations, the focus at Saltex will be on the smaller models in the range, mechanical drive compact tractors from 54hp to 75hp, and full-size mid-range tractors from 70hp to 113hp.

“These products are well suited to groundscare and turf management applications thanks to a choice of specifications and features that enable buyers to find the best build for their needs,” says Adrian Winnett.

“You can go for a simple unit for light grounds maintenance duties or one with heavier-duty build and more comprehensive transmissions and implement drives to handle larger implements or equipment with greater demands for power and hydraulics.”

Argo Tractors decided to return to the Saltex event as part of a campaign to raise the profile of its Landini range, show new models added to the line-up and engage face-to-face with potential customers and prospective new dealers.

“As the undisputed number one shop-window for the groundscare and turf management sectors, we felt it was the right time to showcase our latest products at Saltex,” says Mr Winnett. “We look forward to welcoming visitors to our stand to see these tractors in the metal.”

Explaining why he made the decision to join the Turf Maintenance Live team this year, Rupert Price of Price Turfcare said,

“We have been distributing the Ventrac 4500 compact tractor and its range of attachments for just two and half years and, in that short time, it has been extremely well received by the UK groundscare industry. What we have learned is that prospective customers have to see the machine, up close and personal, to fully appreciate its versatility and that’s why we’ve come on board. We’re hoping that we can demonstrate its capabilities to as many people as possible at St. Albans in October.”

Jason Bristow of Agri UK added,

“Like Price Turfcare, we are new to the UK market and this is the obvious event to demonstrate the range of equipment that we have to offer groundscare sector. Unlike SALTEX, which we will be attending later in October, the visitors here can see the equipment in a working environment and gain a comprehensive understanding of their features and benefits. We’re looking forward to seeing as many prospective buyers as possible across the two days.”

Reesink To Sponsor College Cup

Reesink To Sponsor College Cup: Toro and Reesink Turfcare are delighted to announce they will be sponsoring the SALTEX College Cup 2019, managed by the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG).

The SALTEX College Cup is a student-led sports turf challenge, testing teams of students on their turf management knowledge with paper-based questions, a presentation and live test samples. The competition held during SALTEX, the industry’s leading turf management exhibition at the NEC Birmingham from 30-31 October, presents a real challenge to its young contestants but with the promise of big rewards.

Reesink To Sponsor College Cup

To celebrate the inaugural partnership, a once-in-a-lifetime prize with Real Madrid Football Club has been planned. The winning team of the 2019 competition will travel to Spain at the end of February 2020 for an invaluable groundscare work experience placement at the club’s Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the run up to a major international game.

Working to raise awareness of academic rigour in turf management, the SALTEX College Cup is a fantastic way to reward those dedicated to and passionate about the industry while promoting the importance of education.

Commenting on the challenge, Dan Prest, Head of Member Services – Learning and Consultancy at the IOG, says: “This is a fantastic opportunity for turfcare students to witness the working practices at an elite venue and draw inspiration from Paul Burgess, a respected UK grounds manager. The winning team will have proven their knowledge in the competition and will also be able to add to their practical skills under the guidance of Paul and his team at Real Madrid.”

As companies dedicated to supporting the grounds sector and to encourage younger people into the industry, Toro and Reesink, an official Toro distributor in the UK, have teamed up with the IOG once again, to complement their successful partnership as sponsors of the IOG Young Board of Directors.

Reesink Turfcare’s marketing manager Rochelle Bedford says of the sponsorship: “By sponsoring the SALTEX College Cup, we are demonstrating Toro and Reesink’s long-term commitment to the development of the industry and providing valuable learning opportunities for the brightest young groundsmen out there, which we hope will help them further their careers. Young talent and excellence in the groundscare industry is where the future lies and this latest partnership with the IOG will, we hope, help ensure progression in the sector. We are delighted to be involved.”
