Discover the ‘Aspen Difference’ at BTME

Discover the ‘Aspen Difference’ at BTME: With sustainability high on the agenda for many golf courses around the country, there has never been a better time to review all aspects of the greenkeeping operation – including the method of power.

Aspen Fuel is an alkylate petrol, 99% cleaner than traditional pump unleaded and offers a viable alternative for serviceable petrol-engined hand tools and equipment. Visitors to BTME 2025 can find out more as Aspen make their debut on stand 423.

Aspen Alkylate petrol offers numerous benefits to professional and commercial customers, making it a popular choice for those working in construction, landscaping and arboriculture, and already making a name for itself with golf courses around the world. Virtually free from sulphur, benzene and solvents, it reduces emissions and all-but eliminates odours – freeing operators from the headaches and other health implications this can cause.

Not only that, Aspen is also ethanol-free, protecting your machines during use and in storage, and extending engine life and reliability.

A growing list of UK courses have already made the switch to Aspen, including Newark Golf Club. After encountering availability issues with pump fuel during COVID, the team trialled Aspen 2 and Aspen 4 in their machinery and have not looked back since. “It’s not until you incorporate it into the day to day operations that you really begin to appreciate the improvements Aspen delivers for both the operators and the equipment. The biggest benefit for me is its shelf-life, which has seen us get equipment out of the shed that has been dormant for a year and starts again with no trouble at all” explains Course Manager Alex Clarricoates.

“We use roughly 400 litres of the 4-stroke Aspen, and 200 litres of the 2-stroke each year, both delivered in 200 litre barrels and stored exactly where we need it.” He continues, “Another benefit we’ve found is the Aspen 2 being pre-mixed which has eliminated issues we’ve experienced in the past where incorrect fuel to oil ratios have resulted in faults with some of our 2-stroke engines.”

Those wishing to trail Aspen alkylate petrol in their own businesses can now do so, risk-free, with Aspen’s money-back guarantee. If you don’t ‘Experience the Difference’ by the end of your trial period, Aspen will refund you the cost difference compared to what you would have spent on pump fuel. More details on this, and the full Aspen range, can be found by speaking to the technical team who will be available on stand 423 across the three-day show.

The Game-Changing Paint System

Over two decades ago, Impact ready-to-use paint system began a revolution in line marking paint and spray machinery technology. Designed for convenience and conservation, Impact combines superior performance with significant cost and time savings, making it a preferred choice for professionals. This advanced system enables up to nine standard-sized football pitches to be marked from a single 10-litre drum—without the need to add water.

For those looking to optimise their line-marking processes further, combining Impact paints with the TinyLineMarker robots provides unparalleled precision and efficiency. The advanced robotic line markers integrate seamlessly with the Impact paint system, automating the application process while ensuring consistently sharp and vibrant lines.

Impact Cone Nozzle Technology

Using Impact cone nozzle technology with Impact paints ensures that the paint goes further.  The paints are formulated with superior flowability to assist the right droplet atomisation through these unique, specially engineered nozzles. Excellent leaf coverage and consistent line width can be easily achieved.

This innovation ensures consistent atomisation of paint droplets, allowing precise and efficient application. With just 1.1 to 1.5 litres of Impact paint, a full-sized football pitch can be over-marked, significantly reducing paint consumption, labour, and transport requirements. By cutting down on frequent trips for multi-site markings, users can lower CO2 emissions and particulate diesel pollution—a win for both budgets and the environment.

5-litre Eco-Bags have been introduced for ease of storage and disposal and 70% less plastic waste. They are available within the Impact Range Pro, Premium, and Elite. When loaded onto a pedestrian iGO system spray machine, three 5-litre bags can mark up to 18 pitches without reloading. This will significantly improve efficiency, reducing downtime while minimising handling and waste. It reaffirms the importance of using impact paint as an environmentally friendly and cost-effective solution.

Green-tech Launches Ireland’s First Tubex Recycling Hub

Green-tech Launches Ireland’s First Tubex Recycling Hub: Green-tech is proud to announce the launch of Ireland’s first Tubex Recycling Hub at its Irish depot in Derry.

Green-tech Launches Ireland’s First Tubex Recycling Hub

The hub at Green-tech’s Irish depot follows the successful model of Green-tech’s Trade Centre in North Yorkshire, which has been an official drop-off hub for the Tubex Collection & Recycling Programme since June 2024.

The programme helps to reduce waste by collecting used tree shelters, which are then washed, shredded, and re-pelletised before being used to manufacture new products. This circular process aligns with Green-tech’s commitment to environmental responsibility and advancing sustainable practices within the landscaping industry.

Richard Gill, Sales Director at Green-tech, commented, “We’re thrilled to expand the Tubex Collection & Recycling Programme into Ireland with the launch of our dedicated recycling hub. As the first facility of its kind in the country, this hub provides an essential service for our Irish customers, providing them with the option to recycle their Tubex shelters. This initiative highlights our continued commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, ensuring that materials are reused and waste is minimised. We’re excited to see more clients participate and help us make a positive impact on the environment.”

The Irish Tubex Recycling Hub is one of 15 national collection points across the UK and Ireland, making it more convenient for customers to drop off their used shelters. Additionally, Green-tech offers collection services for larger quantities, ensuring that no shelter is left behind.
