OAS Double Up At SALTEX 2023: Origin Amenity Solutions (OAS) will be making their presence felt at SALTEX with two stands.

Leading the way in the amenity and grounds management market, the OAS technical team will be available on stands G060 and G057, offering turf management solutions for all grounds managers and greenkeepers alike.

Visitors to G060 will get a flavour of the comprehensive OAS product portfolio which will include its range of brand leading, tried and tested seeds, fertilisers, and biologicals, plus the addition of water management and digital solutions for your grounds management programmes.

Several of the latest OAS technology-led solutions will be profiled.  These include a new generation of tetraploid grass seed mixtures which deliver enhanced root growth and germination along with superior stress tolerance in temperatures as low as 4oc.

Carbon4Grass is a range of grass seed mixes that have been developed to support the industry’s awareness of carbon mitigation in amenity and landscaped areas. The Carbon4Grass mixes contain cultivars that sequester relatively more carbon than typical grass seed mixes, offsetting carbon gas production by machinery and equipment used on-site. Visitors can also learn about the latest biological developments in soil and plant science health and how they can be incorporated into traditional turf management programmes.

Live demonstrations of the digital Turfkeeper platform will be happening on the stand, highlighting the sought after integrated operations and management solution which gives Turf managers insight and control over staff management, task planning, machinery management, inventory control, chemical applications planning and recording, budgeting, and expense management.

Our OAS Irrigation Specialists will be on hand to demonstrate and discuss the latest water management solutions and how they can enhance your turf health and performance whilst saving you time and money. The new 164-page catalogue, featuring a comprehensive range of Rain Bird products will be available to take away.

All products and services are underpinned by an industry-leading Turf, Science and Technology Centre which is tasked with implementing turf trials that consider future climate and legislative pressures, whilst researching product development for the turf industry as a whole. Research & Development Director Geoff Fenn will be sharing information from past and present trials in the SALTEX seminar area.For the first time at SALTEX the OAS Line Marking team will have their own dedicated stand (G057) to showcase their robust and unrivalled line marking offering. A range of line marking machines, from pedestrian spray markers to the latest technology in GPS guided robot line markers; alongside industry-leading line marking ready-to-use IMPACT paint range will be on show. Their new line marking brochure will be unveiled at the show and will be available for visitors to take.

The famed OAS Barista will be present once again, along with a number of show offers and competitions which are sure to ensure that stands G060 and G057 are amongst the busiest in the exhibition hall.

OAS will be making their mark at GroundsFest 2023: Origin Amenity Solutions (OAS) will be exhibiting at the first ever GroundsFest with two stands. Their new branded trailer can be found in the outdoor arena on stand 250, whilst their indoor presence on stand 20 in hall 1 will be highlighting the wealth and breadth of the Origin Amenity Solutions brand.

In an exciting strategic development for OAS, the company will be launching their new Line Marking division at GroundsFest. With an enhanced team of line marking specialists, they are positioned to provide the most comprehensive line marking product and support offering in the UK.  The team will be on site with a range of line marking machines, from pedestrian spray markers to the latest technology in GPS guided robot line markers; alongside its industry-leading line marking IMPACT ready to use paint range.

Well known for their commitment to educating the industry, Chemicals & Digital Technical Manager Peter Corbett will be presenting at 2pm on day 1 in Theatre 2 about the changing face of Chemicals and the effect this will have on the industry. Whilst OAS Research & Development Director Geoff Fenn will discuss Microdochium Disease management and winter fertiliser recovery in Theatre 1 on day 2 at 11am.Continuing on the education theme, OAS will be working with Grounds Training to support them with their line marking interactive training sessions. Grounds Training deliver independently accredited training courses across the UK. OAS will be supplying line marking machinery, paint, and accessories for participants to ‘have a go’ at their training sessions with an Introduction to Sports Line Marking (Winter Games) on day 1 and an Introduction to Sports Line Marking (Athletics) on day 2.

The company has announced it will have a number of special show offers, as well as a competition to give away a free iGO Premier pedestrian line marker and two 10 litre drums of IMPACT paint – a fantastic prize and one that is sure to keep the stands busy.

Beside their iconic Verti-Drain 2519 which continues to set the benchmark for professional aeration, stands 8 and 8D will be home to a host of other Redexim innovations including the Turf Tidy and 6m wide Top-Brush.

Proving that multi-purpose doesn’t have to mean a compromise in performance, the Redexim Turf Tidy combines de-thatching, flail cutting or sweeping with collection in a single pass. It is designed with a fully floating head that follows the grounds’ contours ensuring clean and even pick-up of clippings, thatch and other debris making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

Speed and efficiency are also at the heart of the Top-Brush 6000 – comprised of three poly brushes which can be accurately set to a desired working depth for dew clearance, worm cast dispersal or simply enhancing presentation of large areas such as golf fairways or sports pitches. Brushes can be set to rotate or contra-rotate to the direction of travel and, once the job is done, the ‘wings’ can be hydraulically lifted and folded for convenient transportation and storage.

Also on show will be the popular Rink DS800 topdresser and the 1575 Overseeder 3D. The Overseeder 3D is one of a number of disc seeders available from the Redexim range, offering an accurate seed delivery mechanism for precision placement and optimal conditions for germination. The Overseeder 3D is also one of the qualifying models for the current Redexim seed promotion, running in conjunction with Origin Amenity Solutions (OAS). Party for Perennial 2023

Party for Perennial 2023: Perennial were thrilled to welcome many of our industry supporters to Party for Perennial in London last week.

The celebration at Core Bar, near St Paul’s Cathedral. Many guests made pledges to support Perennial further by taking part in the NUTS and Firewalk challenges later in the year, providing auction and raffle prizes for future events and booking a table at the 185th Anniversary dinner in 2024.

Anita Bates, Perennial’s Director of Marketing and Fundraising, says: “Our community can always be relied upon to pull together to make a difference to people in horticulture, Party for Perennial is a great example of this. Thank you to our generous pledgers for supporting this fabulous fundraising evening; your contribution will help us improve lives.”

The fun networking event for the horticulture trade raises both awareness and support for people in horticulture and their families who come to Perennial for help.

Trudy Martin from New Look Landscapes said: “It was our first time attending Party for Perennial so we were not too sure what to expect. It turned out to be a fantastic night and a great way to meet others in the industry. We left with a couple of amazing raffle prizes and some great contacts. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you Perennial.”
