GGM Group announce addition of Worky Quad

GGM Group announce addition of Worky Quad: The GGM Group have announced the addition of the Worky-Quad mini loaders to their product range, as one of a series of developments to support their growth into the ARB sector.

The company has been awarded the Cast SSQ Worky-Quad skid steer loader franchise, which was unveiled on the GGM Group’s stand at last week’s Great Yorkshire Show.

The WorkyQuad range represents a small revolution for the varied needs of having to work in confined spaces within multiple sectors. Thanks to the interchangeability of multiple accessories, SSQ can operate with extreme ease in a variety of locations larger machines just can’t access.

Thanks to the large range of interchangeable accessories, the Worky- Quad can perform multiple tasks, helping to minimise labour whilst improving productivity, allowing the completion of heavy, arduous tasks easily, saving time and costs.

The addition of Worky Quad to the product range follows significant developments in GGM’s entry in to the Arb market, including the expansion of their FSI territories with the addition of Yorkshire to North Wales and North of England, from the Scottish boarder and the recruitment of a new Product Specialist, all within one year of entering this market.

Filippo Zangoni of the Cast Group said:

“We are extremely excited to be working with The GGM Group to offer Worky-Quad to new territories in the UK. The company is long established and has made great inroads in to the Arb sector over the past year. We have previously worked with several members of the team and we know that we will build a fantastic, long lasting relationship.”

The expansion comes 10 months after the group made the first part of their move in to the ARB space after securing a prestigious partnership with FSI, Europe’s Largest manufacturer of stump cutters, becoming the FSI Stump Cutter Dealer for the North West and North Wales with an ambition to  become the tree surgeon’s dealer of choice in the North. The GGM range of Ag & Arb equipment offers high-performing solutions from manufacturers including Kubota, TP Chippers, FSI, Cast, Eliet, Husqvarna and Brian James Trailers.

In further developments, GGM has appointed Matt Bolton as Ag & Arb Product Specialist in a role which will see him working alongside Phil Edmondson (Ag & Arb Product Manager) tasked with taking the GGM range of Ag & Arb equipment out into the field and meeting customers.

Chris Gibson  said

“The GGM Group are thrilled to include Worky-Quad in to our product range and we are delighted to be appointed as the Dealer for the North of England and North Wales.

“GGM already have a reputation for offering the customer an exceptional level of service, both before, during and after sales, welcoming Matt to the team brings additional skills and knowledge to compliment this existing expertise offering our Ag and Arb customers a bespoke solution to their machinery needs”

“Both our Colne and Haydock workshops have highly skilled in-house and mobile Service Technicians with vast experience in all kinds of grounds maintenance and ag & arb machinery who along with our dedicated well stocked and knowledgeable parts team offers customers the high level of aftersales service you expect.”

FC2-221 becomes latest Kubota addition

FC2-221 becomes latest Kubota addition: The newest addition to Kubota’s Front Collect mower series features a simplified design, complementing the professional-grade models currently available in the Front Collect range.

Operation and comfort

The primary objective with the FC2-221 was to create a machine that brings simplicity to the existing range. Significant design changes have led to a notable reduction in the number of wearing parts and maintenance needs, while the operating platform now features a more traditional and user-friendly layout.

With a 480-litre grass collector, you can easily cut and empty large quantities of grass into trailers or existing heaps – with the raising, lowering and tipping functions of the FC2-221’s high-lift feature easily operated with a single lever. The FC2-221 offers the option of a rotary deck (112cm/44”) or a flail deck (110cm/43”). The rotary deck features twin rotors with overlapping blades for precision cutting, while the flail deck offers various cutting blade options to suit different conditions and applications. The latter option also comes with the patented “Smart System” of blade removal, incorporating an innovative magnetic pin for swift and effortless blade changes.

Performance

The FC2-221 is powered by a Kubota D902 engine producing 22hp/16.2kw. The size and weight of the engine fits perfectly into the dimensional design criteria and has abundant power to perform all operations, even in more demanding environments.

Additionally, it incorporates the patented HST transmission to maintain consistent traction on all four wheels while turning, preventing damage to the turf caused by skidding or slipping.

Kubota’s reputation for dependability and reliability is upheld in the FC2-221, with the majority of its components manufactured in-house. This ensures internal quality control measures and reduces reliance on external suppliers.

Application

The FC2-221’s compact size and straightforward design makes it a versatile option for operators of any skill level, ideal for the effective upkeep of lawns, paddocks and other areas where larger machines would struggle. Its size also facilitates easy transportation in a van or on trailer, making it easier for professional users to move it from site to site. The lighter weight also substantially prolongs the operational season, while guaranteeing peak performance and optimal results.

Green-tech’s latest rural product addition

Green-tech’s latest rural product addition: Earlier this year Green-tech received the first delivery of the new Rainbow Professional Terra tree shelter.

The new tree shelter is manufactured from UK-sourced wood that biodegrades naturally in soil.

Green-tech is the largest supplier of Rainbow tree protection products in the UK and was the first to place an order while the product was still in development.

On Wednesday 21st November, Rainbow Professional attended the 2023 Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards where they were delighted and proud to win the “Sustainable Product of the Year” award.

Green-tech’s marketing director Kate Humes comments, “We have worked with Rainbow Professional for many years and have collaborated closely with them whilst they developed the new Terra tree shelter.  It’s the only independently certified soil biodegradable tree shelter that is 100% plant-based and non-toxic that biodegrades into healthy nutrients. It’s a tremendous product and a lot of years of R&D has gone into producing it so I am thrilled for Alex, Pierre, and the Rainbow team.”

The Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards recognise the environmental benefits that companies and projects in the sector provide. The awards are on a mission to showcase the most important innovations and initiatives across the UK landscaping sector, from design and construction to product supply and manufacturing. Judges of the ‘Sustainable Product of the Year’ were looking for products that give back to the natural environment and are designed for a long lifespan, in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Pierre Talpe, Director at Rainbow Professional Limited commented: “We are so happy to receive this recognition for our work developing the Rainbow Terra over the last four years. Our industry needs to move towards tree shelters that are certified to be biodegradable in the right environments and can be left behind with a clean conscience.”

Judges’ comments include, “Great product and far better than the conventional solution.” “Good product which is underpinned by external certification regarding soil biodegradation.” “A much-needed product, I look forward to seeing how it develops.”

Rainbow Professional’s Alex Talpe adds, “We are keen to work collaboratively with the industry, as we transition to using biodegradable tree shelters. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.”

Kate concludes, “As more and more of our customers seek plastic-free tree protection alternatives I am delighted that we have added the award-winning Rainbow Terra to our rural tree planting portfolio. Green-tech is all about offering customers choice and this has proved a very popular product. Well done and good luck to the Rainbow team,”
