Neil Everett appointed as National Sales Manager: Neil Everett has joined BOSS Off-Road Vehicles as National Sales Manager. Neil’s focus initially will be to develop the Corvus Off-Road Vehicles dealer network.

He brings a wealth of experience from over thirteen years in the off-road vehicle market. Originally a part-time contractor to his previous company, he moved into a full-time role in sales support, working across all sectors from on-road motorcycles, Parts, Garments and Accessories, defence, and off-road.

“We’re delighted to announce Neil’s appointment,” says BOSS MD Phil Everett. “A lot of his time in the industry has been spent managing dealer networks. He will be responsible for growing the Corvus dealer network and making changes where required. This will take it to the next level of growth, in readiness for more new model arrivals, and will also free up resources internally to focus on our other brands such as Paxster, Powerland, Faunamaster and Airops.” The Corvus range comprises the Terrain electric, diesel and petrol 4×4 utility vehicles, which are the first from a European manufacturer.

“I am thoroughly excited by this challenge,” says Neil, “and I am looking forward to developing the Corvus network, meeting the dealers, and working with new products within the BOSS ORV portfolio.”

Neil finished his time with his last company as District Sales Manager and network development manager and sees this as a natural next step in his career.

BOSS ORV appointed distributors for Powerland

BOSS ORV appointed distributors for Powerland: Off-road vehicle specialists BOSS ORV have been appointed sole UK distributors for Powerland Agro Tractor Vehicles Pvt. Limited. Powerland is the company behind the development and manufacturer of the Tachyon fully electric ATV in Goa, India. BOSS ORV Managing Director, Phil Everett, made the announcement.

“I have known Tej Naik and his family for many years,” he says, “and we have been in constant communication over this time. We have watched with great excitement how the business and products have developed. The factory in Goa has become a fully independent facility, manufacturing the complete vehicles in-house, including their own chassis. We took the opportunity to visit their stand at the EICMA event in Milan and seal the deal with a long-term distribution contract. The Tachyon is now the complete fully electric (Li-ion) ATV, which is road legal with tractor homologation and the time is right to launch it into our market.”

The Naik family had, for a long time, harboured the ambition to produce their own automotive vehicles and decided to manufacture ATVs locally to cut down on costs and make the product affordable for Indian customers. Today, the company is rapidly growing with the production of the Tachyon, which is now being exported as far away as South America and the USA.

Tej Naik says, “we’re excited to have Phil Everett and BOSS ORV as our exclusive partner for the UK. Phil, with his expertise in the ATV/UTV business for more than 25 years, will definitely help us in scaling up the business and making better products to satisfy the requirements of customers in the off-road market.”

Powerland expects to increase its team size to five hundred employees in the next three years. Phil Everett says he will be sharing more product details over the coming weeks and suffice to say, BOSS ORV are looking forward to developing the Powerland brand and business in the UK.  The Tachyon will be exhibited for the first time in the UK at the Lamma Show 2024 on stand number 6.924.

BIGGA vice president appointed

BIGGA vice president appointed: The head greenkeeper at Chipping Sodbury Golf Club in Gloucestershire has been appointed vice president of the British & International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA).

John Keenaghan has been appointed vice president of BIGGA and will become president of the association ahead of the BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) in January 2024, succeeding Shirley Golf Club’s course manager Andy Smith.

John began his career at Filton Golf Club in Bristol and has worked at various venues in the area, including The Kendleshire, The Players and The Manor House. In 2002 he joined Chipping Sodbury, becoming head greenkeeper in 2006.

Throughout his career, John has volunteered at various events including as part of The Open Volunteer Support Team. He also served on BIGGA’s South West & South Wales Region board and was the region’s representative on the BIGGA National Board.

As vice president and president, John will act as an ambassador for the association, representing BIGGA at various events throughout the year. He will also be part of the Board of Management and utilise his experience to guide the board in their decision making.

John will continue in his role at Chipping Sodbury throughout his terms as vice president and president, representing the club on an international scale.

John said: “I’m absolutely delighted and honoured – I just hope I do a good job. I have been fortunate to have met so many quality greenkeepers in my career, which has spanned over 30 years, and it will be a privilege to serve them in my role as vice president and then president of BIGGA.

“I just hope that if there’s one thing I can do in my role as president, it will be to instill some of my passion for greenkeeping into those young people who are just starting out.”

BIGGA CEO Jim Croxton said: “In his 30 years within greenkeeping, John has shown an unwavering commitment to supporting the activities of BIGGA and his fellow members, particularly in the South West & South Wales Region, and so I’m delighted that he has accepted the invitation to be vice president of the association, becoming president in January 2024.

“John’s enthusiasm for greenkeeping is infectious and I’m looking forward to working alongside him as the association enters a particularly busy period and seeks to provide a clear vision that helps our members overcome the challenges they face, such as the recruitment and retention of quality staff.”

Sam, who has worked in the sales industry for over a decade, brings with him a decorated career spanning energy, finance and education. Two more Corvus dealers appointed

Two more Corvus dealers appointed: In the continuing expansion of their dealer network, Boss ORV has appointed two new Corvus dealers. David Taylor Garages and Campey Turf Care are the latest dealers who will be selling the European manufactured Corvus range of 4×4 utility vehicles.

David Taylor Garages has been a constant presence in Crickhowell, Powys, Wales since the 1960’s where the business grew and expanded to include haulage, recovery and several petrol stations. All three of David Taylor’s children joined the business. In 1988 Gene and his brother Scott, with a travel journalist, drove from John O’Groats to Land’s End in an Isuzu, believed to be the first time a 4×4 did this trip, to raise money for charity.

Boss ORV Managing Director Phil Everett says, “we are delighted to welcome our second dealer in Wales and extremely excited to have someone join the Corvus network with such a reputation for customer service in this region. The business has now grown to be one of the leading UK’s independent distributors, with machinery available throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA.

Alongside his position at TigerTurf UK, Paul held the role of Manufacturing Group Chairman at The Sports and Play Contractors Association (SAPCA) for six years – during which he also represented the synthetic turf manufacturing sector on the FIFA Turf Advisory Group (TAG).

It was in this post that he demonstrated an exceptional understanding of the Ariens business in the UK, including the key differences between the UK, European and US markets, built lasting relationships within the EMEAA distributor networks and helped customers achieve their goals.

“Brad continues to be the driving force behind AriensCo’s remarkable growth throughout EMEAA,” said Jochen Schneider, Executive Vice President of EMEAA. “Having worked at AriensCo for over a decade he not only embodies our family values but is best placed to ensure our customers get the products and support they depend on.”

Stiles will report to Jochen Schneider, Executive Vice President of EMEAA and is eager to get to work, “For over a  decade I have witnessed AriensCo’s fast paced growth and now, in this new position, I can play an even greater role in keeping up that momentum. From strengthening current markets to reaching new ones, these truly are exciting times for AriensCo and all its customers, present and future.”

Regional sales managers in Germany, France and UK along with the export sales teams from EMEAA will report into Stiles.
