New Products From ICL At SALTEX

New Products From ICL At SALTEX: ICL provides a wide variety of products for turf, landscape and industrial areas.  Visitors to stand K030 will be able to find out more about Lockstar, a new residual, pre-emergent herbicide that controls a broad spectrum of weeds.

Elsewhere on the SALTEX show floor, ICL’s International Technical Manager Dr. Andy Owen will be leading a seminar entitled Managing Parasitic Nematodes with Seaweed. Commencing on the second day of SALTEX in Learning LIVE Theatre Two at 12:40pm Andy will be providing an insight into ICL’s unique four-year research project which is exploring the effects of seaweed products on turfgrass plant parasitic nematodes.

New Products From ICL At SALTEX

The project, which is taking place at Royal Holloway, University of London, was founded due to the apparent rise of nematodes. As it stands, there are few options available for the turf manager who has a nematode problem but ICL is currently researching whether seaweed could offer a solution. Andy, who will be joined by PhD student Tamsin Williams, is of the opinion that when the right seaweed is applied to a grass plant it could change the resistance of the plant to disease and insect attack and both Andy and Tamsin will be revealing their current findings.

The ICL stand will feature a barista and free drinks will be available throughout the two-day event, so any SALTEX visitors looking to improve their turf or landscape areas should ensure that a visit to stand K030 is on their agenda.

Harrod Sport’s 16th Year At SALTEX: For the 16th year, Harrod Sport will be exhibiting at SALTEX Exhibition at the NEC. We are proud to be involved in the biggest show for turf and ground’s care, and so excited to showcase all the new products which have been launched in the past year.

Along with showcasing our new innovations and products within the sport industry, we can’t wait to catch-up and meet with many new and existing customers. We’ve been working hard on designing a stylish stand which is sleek and modern to showcase our brand, and what Harrod Sport is all about.

Also, on our stand we will be featuring our new Portable Team Shelter.

We will be welcoming visitors to take a seat in the shelter and try it out! The Portable Team Shelter is the perfect mobile, self-weighted dugout for multi-sport facilities such as clubs, universities and schools. Since release we have supplied this amazing new shelter to Crystal Palace FC, Glasgow Rangers and St George’s Park, along with various universities across the U.K.

Sherriff At SALTEX 2019

Sherriff At SALTEX 2019: New organic, chemical-free biochar products and an upgraded award-winning turf management app will be showcased on the Sherriff Amenity stand (E060) at SALTEX 2019.

On the first day of SALTEX 2018, Sherriff Amenity’s ground-breaking new app, PrecisionPro, was announced as the winner of the second, annual SALTEX Innovation Award. In the past year the unique app has been praised far and wide by turf managers.

PrecisionPro allows turf managers to have an accurate measured area by simply opening the app and walking the perimeter of the area. Calibrating spreaders has always been a difficult task but with the Calibrate feature in the PrecisionPro app, users are guided through each step of the process. Furthermore, its advanced GPS functionality informs the user when to start and stop the calibration process.

The app also features a function to ensure that every operator walks at the same speed – if someone is walking too fast or too slow then they are alerted by colour coded screens. As well as calculating the g/m2 and the operator’s walking speed, the Apply feature ultimately ensures that the exact amount of nutrition is being applied to the turf.

Now, PrecisionPro is returning to SALTEX 2019 with some beneficial updates including a new mapping function, a rain shroud and an updated user interface. Furthermore, one lucky visitor to the Sherriff Amenity stand will get the opportunity to walk away with the brand new app.

Sherriff Amenity is the exclusive UK distributor of Carbon Gold’s Enriched Biochar Turf Improver, and the two companies will be joining forces at SALTEX 2019. Carbon Gold’s aim is to increase soil fertility and improve turf health through the use of biochar-based products and visitors to the stand will be able to find out more about these exceptional offerings including the all-new Biochar Raw and Biology Blend.

Enriched Biochar Turf Improver is a highly porous, high carbon form of charcoal used to improve soil nutrition, growing conditions and turf health. It is made from untreated waste woody biomass that has been charred at a low temperature with a restricted supply of oxygen, a process called pyrolysis.

Over the last few years as emission regulations on engines have changed Demon has looked at alternative fuels and has produced a range of Honda powered LPG engines for its mini-bowsers and Hurricane combi machines. LPG offers a reduction of 60% for CO and greatly reduced hydrocarbon emissions. There are many benefits for the hire industry using LPG as they sell the fuel and reduced maintenance for the engines.

Recently Demon have re-introduced the Tornado Electron battery powered pressure washer using Lithium Ion battery technology. Demon are the only manufacturer making an industrial battery pressure washer at this time and can now offer the future of pressure washing today. We now have a machine based on the successful range of Tornado Mini-Bowsers offering 2 hours of constant cleaning with re-charging times of 2-4 hours depending on the charger fitted.

As demands on emissions grow we at Demon look to how we can evolve pressure washers to keep up with not only better, more efficient ways of cleaning, but also complying with new regulations.
Currently we are using petrol and diesel engines, and electric motors to power our pressure washers which is the present. The future is in the developing battery world and DC motors. One option to bridge this gap is alternative fuels such as LPG.
