STIHL introduces new SGA 30 battery-powered sprayer

STIHL introduces new SGA 30 battery-powered sprayer: STIHL has expanded its sprayer offering with the launch of the SGA 30, a sprayer designed to combine operator comfort with consistently precise liquid application. Purpose-built for groundskeepers, landscapers and gardeners, the new model eliminates the need for manual pumping, ensuring steady pressure delivery that makes light work of spraying tasks.

Delivering a working pressure of 1.5 to 2.5 bars, the SGA 30 uses the STIHL AS System battery and features a 5-litre tank capacity, whilst enabling users to tailor output depending on the application, whether applying fertilisers across lawns or pesticides to specific plants. This adjustability helps to ensure effective coverage while cutting down on unnecessary product use.

Practical features are built in to make everyday use easier. The adjustable nozzle provides the flexibility to alternate between fine misting and direct spot treatments, while the telescopic lance ensures operators can reach awkward or elevated areas with minimal effort. For further convenience, the sprayer shuts off automatically when the tank is empty or inactive, conserving energy and supporting longer battery life.

Ease of use is at the heart of the SGA 30’s design, with straightforward pressure controls, an intuitive ON/OFF switch and a clear battery charge indicator. Weighing just 2.1 kg without the battery, and 7.1 kg when filled with liquid and battery in place, design remains lightweight, with a carry strap and handle , to keep users working efficiently and comfortably for longer periods.

STIHL launches PKA 30 battery-powered pump head

STIHL launches PKA 30 battery-powered pump head: Designed for efficient and precise application, STIHL has launched the PKA 30 battery-powered pump head, delivering automatic and constant pressure for even spraying and pumping of water, without the need for manual pumping, saving users time and boosting productivity.

Providing a consistent pressure range between 1.5 to 2.5 bars, the pump head uses the STIHL AS System battery and can be added to the STIHL SG 30 manual sprayer or cut-off machine water tank. It is easily adjusted to suit a range of applications, optimising the amount of liquid applied or water flow required, while reducing waste.

For ultimate convenience, the pump automatically switches off when the tank is empty, or when no longer in use. This helps to reduce energy consumption, extend battery life, and minimise maintenance costs over the tool’s lifecycle.

For simple and intelligent operation, the pump head includes variable pressure adjustments, an easy-to-use ON/OFF switch, and a clear battery level indicator, ensuring that users can work efficiently. Weighing just 0.9 kg (without battery), this compact pump head is a lightweight, portable solution for everyday use.

The PKA 30 has an air compressor pump which prevents liquid contact inside the pump system, reducing the risk of deposits, for smooth operation during prolonged use.

STIHL launches new battery-powered backpack blowers

STIHL launches new battery-powered backpack blowers: Designed for professional use, STIHL has launched the new BRA 500 and BRA 600 battery-operated backpack blowers, with maximum blowing force for clearing large areas.

The two new battery-powered machines provide high air speed, with a maximum blowing force of up to 32 (BRA 500) and 35 newtons (BRA 600), available throughout the entire tool’s operating time, making them ideal for removing heavy, wet leaves quickly and efficiently.

Users can also regulate the required blowing force by selecting one of the tool’s three levels using its digital control, with an additional boost mode available to achieve the machine’s maximum power.

Built to reduce strain over prolonged use, both tools have a comfortable carrying system which distributes the weight of the machine across your shoulders and hips, allowing for maximum comfort.

With STIHL’s Noise Reduction System built in, the machine offers reduced noise as well as a tuned sound to make them less intrusive when used in public areas, allowing professional users to work productively at all times of day.

As STIHL’s first 72 V professional machines, the BRA 500 and BRA 600 draw energy simultaneously from two powerful AP System batteries. For maximum working time, STIHL’s AP 500 S battery packs are recommended.

Complete with an LED display, which details the mode the device is working in and battery charge levels, the tools can also be incorporated into STIHL’s Connected digital fleet management system.

The Connected system provides a detailed overview of all relevant machine data and provides the option to reduce the tool’s power remotely via the STIHL Connected app.  To facilitate use in the rain, both the BRA 500 and BRA 600 are IPX4-certified

STIHL’s first single-sided battery-powered hedge trimmers

STIHL’s first single-sided battery-powered hedge trimmers: Single-sided hedge trimmers offer numerous benefits, including a longer and lighter cutting bar, as well as improved safety. Designed for professional landscapers, the HSA 150 R and HSA 150 T are the first single-sided hedge trimmers in the STIHL AP System, comparable in performance to the popular petrol HS 87.

Available in lengths of 75cm or 100cm, the HSA 150 comes equipped with a catcher plate as standard, increasing the speed at which the top of hedges can be cut.

Alongside the impressive performance, the HSA 150 also offers high levels of operator comfort. The new hedge trimmer weighs just 4.3 – 4.7 kg (without battery) and is comfortable to hold thanks to the ergonomic handle grips. The wide grip stance, combined with the central centre of gravity, allows the HSA 150 to be pivoted with ease, resulting in minimal strain to the operators’ wrists or arms.

The HSA 150 is quiet in operation, and thanks to its highly effective anti-vibration system, is suitable for long periods of use too. When cutting hedges with a petrol machine, the fumes can often collect within the hedge, resulting in a poor working environment for the user. Battery-powered machines such as the HSA 150 can eliminate this problem entirely.

Featuring 38mm tooth spacing, the HSA 150 R is best suited to annual pruning or hedge reduction work. Its lower maximum RPM of 3,200 also allows thicker branch material to enter the cutters efficiently. Alternatively, the HSA 150 T has a higher maximum RPM and smaller 30mm tooth spacing, making it better suited to ornamental or fine leaf hedges such as taxus, buxus or privet, where a fine finish is required.

The HSA 150 benefits from a new gearbox design, consisting of a two-step planetary gear. This results in exceptionally high cutting performance and fast cold start up, as well as improved protection of the internal components thanks to the integrated slip clutch.

To help prevent the blades from jamming, the HSA 150 features an innovative anti-blocking system that reverses the motors rotational direction to unblock the blades, minimising product downtime and enhancing the efficiency of the tool.

The HSA 150 utilises the same friction optimised, double edged blades that feature on the HS 87 professional petrol models, resulting in long lasting sharpness, a consistently clean cut and ample durability for long cutting seasons.

When used with the recommended AP 200 S battery, the HSA 150 R has a maximum working time of 150 minutes, while the HSA 150 T’s maximum working time is up to 140 minutes.
