Eon Bio is easy to apply with top dressing or granular fertiliser and is a time capsule release of fresh humic acids with every irrigation.  Eon Bio is 100% organic and contains the highest concentrations of soluble humic acids available.  The bio additions in this blend include Mycorrhiza Fungi and multiple forms of bacteria, These include rhizo-bacteria, nitrogen fixing bacteria and other beneficial bacteria.  These bacteria solubilise phosphates and soil based elements which are then made available to the plant.    Eon Bio promotes seed germination, establishment, plant growth and root mass.

Huxley And Bearwood Join Forces

Huxley And Bearwood Join Forces: Huxley Golf was proud to be chosen to equip practice facilities for another premier golf club this Spring.

Bearwood Lakes Golf Club is widely considered as one of the very best in the South of England.  Set on what were ancient royal hunting grounds, the Club’s forest terrain and woodland has evolved over centuries to create one of the most inspiring golfing environments to be found anywhere in the world. With gently undulating putting surfaces, the 18 hole course weaves its way through three natural lakes providing a stimulating challenge for golfers of all abilities.

Now the Club has an equally impressive indoor/outdoor practice facility too. Two high tech studios – including one exclusive Mizuno custom fitting studio, recently opened by former World number one, Luke Donald – are complemented by a 23 bay covered and outdoor driving range.

Huxley Golf installed premium all weather surfaces throughout the new facility. Huxley Golf Premier Tee Turf 2 was laid in both studios and in the five 12ft x 18ft (3.6m x 5.4m) covered practice bays.  To the front, a 12ft x 153ft (3.6m x 46.6m) outdoor driving area was created, also working with the company’s exclusive Premier Tee Turf.  Surrounding areas and pathways were finished with Huxley Golf Premier 20mm Leisure Turf.

Managing Director Carl Rutherford said: “We pride ourselves on providing world class playing surfaces, maintained with exceptional craftsmanship and unparalleled attention to detail.  That’s why we chose to work with Huxley Golf on our stunning new purpose built all-weather practice facility.  This was an important project for us as it would not only increase the distance of the range, but also bring our practice facilities into line with standards across the rest of the Club.  We are delighted with the result and look forward to welcoming members and their guests to experience it in the year ahead.”

Huxley Golf’s General Manager, Paul Chester commented: “This was a large and prestigious installation and one that amply demonstrates the adaptability of our surfaces, designed to exacting specifications for indoor and outdoor use.  It took just a week for us to fit out the whole area ready for its high profile public launch – and for the delight of Club members.”

Wessex Joins Forces With RFU

Wessex Joins Forces With RFU: Wessex International, one of Britain’s leaders in groundcare equipment, has become a partner in Rugby Groundsmen Connected.

The rugby club pitch maintenance equipment package, devised by the Rugby Football Union’s head groundsman, Keith Kent, is the RFU’s easy access, two-way communication network between the RFU and rugby union groundsmen. Working with trusted industry partners, Keith’s package is designed to meet the needs of rugby union clubs aiming to deliver a high quality pitch maintenance programme. Part of this includes the Wessex ProLine CRX-180 combination mower, with castoring wheels at the front and a full width roller on the rear for a precision stripe. The award winning CRX is very easy to maintain and is suited to compact tractors from 20hp such as the Iseki TM3265, which is also offered as part of the package.

“We’re delighted to be partners and have our CRX MultiCut chosen to be part of the programme,” says Pete Farndell, Wessex International’s Marketing Manager, “being part of Rugby Groundsmen Connected is a wonderful opportunity to get close to grass roots and the rugby groundsmen. The CRX has proved itself worthy at many RFU clubs and grounds across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to let people know of its capabilities.”

Wessex Joins Forces With RFU

What’s different about the Wessex CRX MultiCut is that it is effectively three mowers in one: roller mower, finishing mower and combination mower. As a finishing mower, with its high blade tip speed it’s in a different league for cut quality, while maintaining increased manoeuvrability in awkward areas. In its role as a combination mower it is ideally suited to front mounting on a compact tractor, with the castoring wheels reducing scuffing and the rear roller leaving the prestigious striped effect on the turf.

Everything the RFU does related to pitch maintenance now comes under the banner of Rugby Groundsmen Connected and Wessex International are proud to be a part of the RFU initiative to provide information and advice to groundsmen, with special offers, a 3 year warranty and exclusive benefits to members.
