Husqvarna supports chainsaw excellence during Championships

Husqvarna supports chainsaw excellence during Championships: Husqvarna is proud to share that the brand’s dedicated team competed at this year’s World Logging Championships (WLC) in Slovenia, with 54 Husqvarna representatives from 16 countries taking part in the major international event.

Representing Great Britain and utilising Husqvarna’s elite tools were esteemed arborists Richard Elliott and Mark Edwards and U24’s representative Ben Jones. The trio competed against the world’s best logging athletes and showcased speed, teamwork and technical precision across six classic disciplines. An 11th place finish in the overall team category is to be greatly respected, given the standard of the competition.

During the event, the team participated across five individual disciplines as well as a team relay race, using specially modified Husqvarna 572XP chainsaws. Participants test their skills in activities such as limbing, mast felling and precision bucking.

Husqvarna is not only a main sponsor of the World Logging Championships 2026, but the event also highlights Husqvarna’s commitment to innovation, precision and trust when it comes to chainsaws.

The Great Britain team was selected by a series of qualifying events, held throughout the UK during 2025.

“Competing at the World Logging Championships is an incredible experience,” said Richard Elliott, member of the Husqvarna UK team. “You’re up against the best loggers in the world, so every discipline pushes your skills, focus and precision to the limit. In a discipline like ours, it’s crucial to rely on top-tier equipment, so utilising the high-performance tools from Husqvarna gave us the confidence and precision needed to perform at our best.”

Through activities such as ongoing support of global and regional championships, and innovative training initiatives alongside leading education providers, Husqvarna plays an active role in developing professional logging talent and promoting chainsaw excellence on the global stage.

Husqvarna and The R&A shortlisted for major awards

Husqvarna and The R&A shortlisted for major awards: Husqvarna, the world leader in robotic mowers, and The R&A, golf’s global governing body outside of the USA and Mexico, have been shortlisted in two of the sports industry’s most respected awards programmes following their pioneering autonomous mowing activation at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl.

The collaboration between The R&A and Husqvarna has been named a finalist in the Best Use of Cutting-edge Technology category at the 2026 European Sponsorship Association Awards and the Tech in Sport Award at the Sport Industry Awards. Both nominations recognise the groundbreaking deployment of Husqvarna’s robotic mowing technology across all 18 fairways during a major championship, marking the first time The R&A entrusted an entire fairway operation to autonomous machines.

The project was delivered in close collaboration with the late Royal Porthcawl course manager, Ian Kinley, and his greenkeeping team. Ian, who passed away earlier this year, was instrumental in championing the integration of autonomous mowing at championship level. A widely respected figure within the profession, he led the preparation of the course with characteristic vision, humility and attention to detail.

At Royal Porthcawl, a fleet of 15 robotic mowers, including Husqvarna CEORA units and Automower 580L EPOS models, worked overnight in the build up to and throughout championship week. Monitored via Husqvarna Fleet Services and supported daily by technicians, the machines delivered consistent, championship-standard conditions while enabling the greenkeeping team to focus on detailed presentation work across greens, tees, and approaches.

Jonathan Snowball, Head of Professional Development at Husqvarna, said: “To be recognised by both the European Sponsorship Association and the Sport Industry Awards is a powerful endorsement of what was achieved at the AIG Women’s Open. This was live championship delivery at the highest level of professional sport, demonstrating how autonomous technology can support elite performance while respecting the craft and expertise of greenkeepers.”

Daniel Lightfoot, Director – Sustainable Golf at The R&A, said: “At the AIG Women’s Open, The R&A’s collaboration with Husqvarna and the integration of its robotic mower portfolio enabled us to deliver high performance surfaces in a sustainable way through improved resource management, consistent lightweight mowing, and reduced carbon usage. We are proud that this innovative initiative has been recognised through these award nominations, reflecting our shared commitment to sustainability and performance excellence.”

The ESA Awards celebrate best-in-class sponsorship campaigns across Europe, while the Sport Industry Awards recognise excellence across brands, rights holders, and suppliers. Together, the dual nominations reinforce Husqvarna’s position at the forefront of autonomous innovation within global sport.

The winners of the 2026 ESA Awards will be announced on Thursday 12 March, with the Sport Industry Awards ceremony taking place later in the year.

Husqvarna partners with Relox Robotics to expand golf solutions

Husqvarna partners with Relox Robotics to expand golf solutions: Husqvarna Group has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Relox Robotics to add an autonomous golf range ball picking solution to its portfolio across European markets.

The partnership marks a further step in Husqvarna’s commitment to advancing automation and efficiency within professional golf environments, as demand grows for smarter operational solutions.

Under the terms of the agreement, Husqvarna will become the sole distributor of Relox Robotics’ Range Picker™ across Europe. The autonomous solution is designed to operate fully unattended on golf driving ranges, supporting increased uptime, reduced manual handling and more efficient daily operations for range operators.

The Range Picker™ features autonomous navigation, self-charging, and automated ball dumping, enabling continuous ball collection without the need for manual intervention. Under the partnership, deployments are planned for Q1 2026, supporting early spring installations at selected driving ranges.

“Robotics is reshaping how golf facilities operate, from course maintenance to range management,” said Olle Markusson, Senior Director Robotics at Husqvarna Group. “By partnering with Relox Robotics, we are able to offer a proven autonomous ball picking solution that complements our market-leading robotic mowing platforms for golf courses and supports a more automated, efficient driving range environment.”

Automation is increasingly becoming a priority for driving range operators looking to improve productivity, reduce labour dependency, and enhance the customer experience. This partnership brings together Husqvarna’s long-standing expertise in robotic turf maintenance with Relox Robotics’ specialist knowledge in autonomous range operations, to deliver a comprehensive robotics ecosystem for driving ranges.

Husqvarna continues to expand its presence in professional golf across Europe and will provide robotic mowing solutions at the 2026 Husqvarna British Masters. This follows a successful deployment at last year’s AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl, where Husqvarna’s autonomous mowers maintained all 18 fairways during the tournament, marking the first time robotic mowers have maintained fairways live on the world golf stage.

First deliveries under the Husqvarna–Relox partnership are scheduled for Q1 2026 through Husqvarna’s network of professional partners across Europe. The autonomous Range Picker™ will have a recommended retail price of €39,500 (excluding VAT), subject to final confirmation.

Husqvarna becomes Title Partner of the British Masters: Husqvarna, a global leader in robotic lawnmowing and part of Husqvarna Group, has signed a multi-year agreement to become the new Title Partner of the British Masters – one of the world’s most historic golf tournaments.

The 2026 Husqvarna British Masters will be staged at The Belfry on the iconic Brabazon Course in England. In addition, Husqvarna will also be the official robotic mowing partner of the DP World Tour.

“Golf is the perfect stage to demonstrate the performance of Husqvarna’s robotic lawnmowers, already delivering world-class results at over 1,700 courses worldwide. This partnership marks a shared commitment to reinvent golf course maintenance for a new era”, says Yvette Henshall-Bell, President Europe BU Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division, Husqvarna Group.

First played in 1946, the British Masters has a distinguished history with past champions including Peter Thomson, Tony Jacklin, Bernhard Langer, Ian Woosnam, Seve Ballesteros, Sir Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie and Sweden’s Alex Noren in the 2025 tournament. Six-time major winner Sir Nick Faldo, himself a Husqvarna Brand Ambassador, will return as host of the Husqvarna British Masters in 2026.

“As a former Champion, I take great pride in hosting this iconic tournament and it’s about to enter an exciting new era with this new partnership. I love Husqvarna’s products, and they will be out in full force at The Belfry next August to make sure the Brabazon Course is in perfect condition”, says Sir Nick Faldo.

As part of the agreement, Husqvarna also becomes an Official Marketing Partner of the 2026 DP World Tour, building on the successful partnership in 2025. In 2026 Husqvarna will be the Official Tournament Partner to the British Masters and the Amgen Irish Open, Corporate Partner to the BMW International Open, KLM Open and FedEx Open de France. With this elevated status, Husqvarna will showcase its products across DP World Tour channels throughout the season, and partner with green keepers and course managers to deliver consistent quality on the tournament courses.

Recently, at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl in Wales, 15 Husqvarna CEORA robotic mowers maintained all 18 fairways during the tournament, marking the first time robotic mowers have maintained fairways live on the world golf stage.

Husqvarna signs deal with DP World Tour

Husqvarna signs deal with DP World Tour: Husqvarna, a global leader in outdoor power products and cutting-edge robotic mowers, has signed a partnership with the DP World Tour – Golf’s Global Tour – as it becomes an official partner to the Amgen Irish Open and the Betfred British Masters.

The multi-year partnership will see Husqvarna’s brand and products, including its CEORA®, Automower® 580L EPOS®, Automower® 550 EPOS® and Automower® 535 AWD EPOS® feature across on-course and digital branding, product showcases in tournament villages and hospitality platforms at the two events – which make-up part of the Tour’s iconic “Back 9”- a series of its most historic events.

Beyond the two staple tournaments, Husqvarna also becomes a Corporate Partner to the BMW International Open on the Tour’s European Swing until the end of the 2027 season, as it strengthens its footprint across the golfing landscape.

Max Hamilton, Executive Commercial Director of the DP World Tour, said: “We are delighted that Husqvarna have continued to bolster their significant investment into the game of golf with the DP World Tour. As an organisation that is at the top of its game in the field of grass maintenance, and that is already supporting many of the best clubs in Europe and across the world, it is a perfect fit for Golf’s Global Tour, where leading talent from around the world get to compete on some of the best stages in golf.”

Samantha Donnelly, Senior Marketing Manager at Husqvarna said: “As world-leaders in the space of robotic mowers, we’re committed to helping people make time for what matters through our cutting-edge innovation. Whether that’s our professional range that opens more time for greenkeepers, or our residential models, that automatically cut the lawn to perfection – great for golfers looking to spend more time with their family, or out on the course

We’re also committed to supporting the game of golf, so we’re incredibly excited to see our connection to the game growing – whether that’s through the courses we supply, or those we partner with. We’re thrilled to announce this partnership, as we take our next step in the sport.

The relationship marks Husqvarna latest commitment to the industry and future in the sport, as it builds on partnerships with some of the game’s most decorated names – including Europe’s most successful golfer and host of the Betfred British Masters, Sir Nick Faldo.

The collaboration with Husqvarna and Sir Nick Faldo looks to build a foundation for the future of golf – including course maintenance, but also for the game itself, with the brand supporting the growth of the Faldo Futures initiative via donations and beyond from May 2025.

The Faldo Futures initiative, which boasts alumni such as five-time major champion Rory McIlroy, is designed to introduce young players to the game of golf, alongside an advanced education program built to enhance their skills.

Sir Nick Faldo said: “As host of the British Masters for nearly 3 years now, it’s an event that’s close to my heart – so it’s brilliant to see Husqvarna partnering with this iconic tournament. What its technology is doing for golf courses is truly changing the game – I’ve heard firsthand how greenkeepers now have more time to spend on other areas of the course, such as the greens, which is driving a real improvement for players. Husqvarna’s support for Faldo Futures is increasingly important too – it’s an initiative that supports young golfing talent, so we’re incredibly proud of it. Having brands such as Husqvarna help foster its growth, is brilliant for the future of the game”

Husqvarna’s long history in providing golf courses with world-leading mower technology, including some of the globe’s most iconic venues, has helped revolutionize course maintenance, while helping reduce emissions and costs associated with the upkeep.

Hero innovations such as the Husqvarna CEORA™s and Automower® 550 EPOS, automatically cut back the rough and other key green spaces on the course, around the pre-planned routes mapped by the greenkeepers – opening more time to perfect the upkeep of the greens, as the brand continues to set the scene for the future of golf course maintenance.
