It was praised by an independent panel of testers with the feedback stating that the Husqvarna mower was “a very high performance model for large areas with lots of obstacles”. The Rider 214TC stood out for its flexibility, with a range of front-mounted accessories, such as a snow shovel, brush and aerator all able to be attached to the mower.

Price Runner UK went on to further to say the model was “king of the ride-on lawn mowers, which gets maximum points in everything we give it to do.”

On the Rider 214TC’s exemplar score, Husqvarna UK Category Manager – Lawn, Andrew Lees said: “We are extremely pleased to receive such a prestigious award, the Husqvarna R 214TC is one of our best-selling models and the award reinforces why. Husqvarna Expand Innovation Leadership

Husqvarna Expand Innovation Leadership: Husqvarna, global leader in robotic lawnmowing, today launches Husqvarna EPOS technology, a satellite-based solution for a new series of professional Husqvarna Automower® robotic mowers, enabling mowing with virtual boundaries.

Next year, Husqvarna has pioneered and shaped the robotic mowing segment for 25 years with high performing, silent and direct emission-free robotic mowers that are designed to help landscapers maintain healthy lawns and increase productivity.

Husqvarna Expand Innovation Leadership

In 2019, Husqvarna introduced its first all-wheel drive robotic mowers, allowing residential and professional users to cover areas with an incline of up to 70 % – an important further step into the professional segment. Husqvarna is committed to continue to lead and develop the robotic mowing category through customer centric innovation and solutions.

As the next step, Husqvarna today launches the Husqvarna EPOS technology, a high-precision satellite navigation system that delivers an accuracy of 2-3 centimetres. It is used to create virtual boundaries for professional robotic mowers. The new system will significantly increase the flexibility and use of professional robotic mowers in green spaces, as virtual boundaries can be adapted to meet the ever-changing needs of sports fields and public spaces. This new system further opens up opportunities for areas which historically were challenging for robotic lawnmowers, for example areas passing hard surfaces or those which are often remodeled as well as making aerating and scarifying easier.

Sascha Menges, President Husqvarna Division, commented: “Robotics and autonomous solutions will play a major role in the future of green space management. We are committed to continuously improving professional green space management and Husqvarna EPOS is a technological breakthrough in Husqvarna’s robotic mowing that will further accelerate the adaptation of robotics in professional lawn care. “

Husqvarna pro robotic mowers with Husqvarna EPOS integrate with Husqvarna Fleet Services, a digital fleet management control system, and make the management of large lawns and green spaces easier and more flexible and efficient than ever before.

The new technology is the next step in Husqvarna professional robotic lawnmowing and will be launched with selected professional customers in US, France, Germany and Sweden in 2020.

Husqvarna Launch Automower Fairway Kit

Husqvarna Launch Automower Fairway Kit: Global market leader in outdoor solutions, Husqvarna, has introduced a new robotic mower fairway kit designed to be used on golf fairways and other sports turf applications.

The new kit lowers the cutting height of Husqvarna Automower® to a minimum of approximately 10mm whilst also providing new cutting height steps of 12.5mm, 15mm and 17.5mm. The standard cutting height on all Husqvarna Automower® models excluding the AWD models is 20mm.

Husqvarna Launch Automower Fairway Kit

The kit ensures that the lower cutting heights required on areas such as fairways can be achieved using a Husqvarna robotic mower. The combination of Husqvarna Automower® and the new kit allows areas such as fairways to be maintained at a constant length throughout the year, creating consistency in the playing conditions experienced by golfers. The ultra-silent mowers are also extremely unobtrusive, ensuring that players are not disturbed and also allow night time operation.

The use of robotic mowers on large and labour intensive areas of grass which require regular maintenance also allows the redeployment of grounds staff on to more skilled tasks. The robotic mowers are designed to cut little and often, recycling the micro-clippings back into the soil improving grass quality whilst maintaining a consistent grass length throughout the growing season.

Worcestershire Golf Club are amongst a growing number of golf courses utilising Husqvarna Automower® as part of course maintenance. Steve Lloyd, Course Manager commented “It’s great because it means we can keep a consistent cut throughout the week. It also saves us time on a large area, allowing the team to focus on hard to reach and trickier areas. One of the best things is how the micro-clippings fertilise the grass. The quality of the grass has improved massively in a very short space of time”.

The kits are designed to be used on the following Automower® models : 420, 430X, 450X, 520 and 550.

Husqvarna Automower® fairway kit includes:

  • Spacers – 10mm and 12.5mm (only one to be used)
  • New cutting disc
  • Fasteners
  • Lid
  • NOTE: Due to the lower cutting height the skid plate should not be used.

Husqvarna Extend Battery Range

Thanks to its Bluetooth connectivity, Husqvarna LC 353iVX can be paired with Husqvarna Connect, allowing users to get information and tips on maintenance and troubleshooting as well as finding guides and manuals. Furthermore, with the mobile app, it is possible to see battery status, helping users plan their garden work more efficiently. The product features variable speed digital drive allowing the ground speed of the machine to be adjusted to suit the walking speed of the user. For increased safety, Husqvarna LC 353iVX has a transport mode which stops the blade from turning and leaves the engine running, enabling off-turf traversing and convenient stop and go operation.

Automatic battery switch and energy saving mode

The new LC 353iVX from Husqvarna has dual battery slots with a feature that automatically switches battery if one of them is out of power, letting the user continue mowing without having to stop to switch batteries. The digital control panel on the new Husqvarna battery lawnmower gathers all user controls, gives an overview of the remaining runtime and lets the user choose between four speeds, depending on their needs. The savE™ mode on the Husqvarna lawnmower is designed to lower the RPM, while retaining torque to preserve battery life. By simply pushing the savE™ button on the keypad the energy saving mode is activated or de-activated.

This also eliminates the need for belt removal when putting the cutting deck into service position.

Next Gen Husqvarna Riders

“The new Husqvarna R 419TsX AWD and the Husqvarna R 420TsX AWD are developed for professionals and landowners who need a compact and versatile Rider with commercial performance. The size of the new Riders enables access to tight areas that are hard to reach with bigger machines and reduces the cost for manual work with walk behind mowers or trimmers”, says Daniel Mannerström, Product Portfolio Manager at Husqvarna.

A new HMI (Human-Machine Interface) display communicates with the driver, assists in handling and shows real time data and warnings – increasing overall productivity. The new Riders are compatible with Husqvarna Connect and Husqvarna Fleet Services™ through Bluetooth® connectivity. The new Riders from Husqvarna are equipped with new automotive-style LED headlights with 180-degree coverage to increase visibility near and far from the machine. Following thorough ergonomic studies in the initial development of the Riders, Husqvarna created more adjustment possibilities and space for the driver. The updated steering wheel with a fresh, modern design has quick height adjustment as well as comfortable and defined grip areas and a steering wheel knob to increase ergonomics and handling. The articulated power steering makes manoeuvring around obstacles effortless and with an uncut turning circle of 70cm a single pass can be all it takes to navigate around obstacles. The front mounted combi cutting decks allow more to done with the machine, reducing or eliminating the need to carry out follow up work with a trimmer. The Combi decks provide class leading mulch performance recycling the clippings back into the soil improving grass condition. Cutting decks can be easily converted to rear eject for areas of longer grass.

The R 419TsX AWD comes fitted with commercial grade 656 cm3 Briggs & Stratton V-Twin engine and has the option of new X-Change 103cm and 112cm Combi cutting decks.
