ISEKI is part of the team at Bloxham: An ISEKI compact tractor is proving to be an ‘extra member of staff’ for the grounds team at Bloxham School according to Head Groundsman Paul White.

Located in the heart of the beautiful Oxfordshire village of Bloxham, Bloxham School is an independent, co-educational boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18.

On a single-site campus the school boasts state-of-the-art facilities for academic work, technology, arts, and sport – which is where Paul comes in. Bloxham has a superb sporting programme offering a wide range of sports and Paul and his grounds team work hard to prepare these surfaces to the highest standard.

To achieve this, Paul is somewhat of a perfectionist when it comes to grounds maintenance equipment.

“As soon as machinery becomes outdated and not fit for purpose it absolutely needs replacing,” he said. “Specifically, we wanted a tractor to cover all the implements we have in our workforce, and to be able to use them safely and correctly on different surfaces.

“The reason we bought into ISEKI was because we have used their machines regularly in the past and they have always been reliable.”

After a demonstration arranged by ISEKI dealer Turney Groundcare & Garden Machinery, Paul decided to purchase the ISEKI TG6495 – a 47 hp compact tractor with the innovative IQ dual-clutch 24-speed transmission.

“The weight and the size of it is much better on our fields for compaction. It has good traction for the wheels, the all-round visibility of the tractor is very much improved compared to our last tractor, and general use is a lot easier for the operator.

“It has performed exceptionally well in all weather conditions. Through the winter it has been fantastic with our vertidrainer and in summer it has helped with a number of different implements.

“Also, the IQ transmission makes it easier for our operators to use and change gear when there are implements on the back.

“We like to think of this tractor as an extra member of staff – it does everything we ask of it.”

ISEKI makes life easier: Paul Shapter, Head Gardener at St Catherine’s College, one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford, claims that his new ISEKI ride-on mower has made life a lot easier.

St Catherine’s College, affectionately known as St Catz, is the largest college within the world-famous University of Oxford. The college is renowned for its modern architecture and many restful open spaces which offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Paul and his team maintain these open spaces which comprises of gardens and lawns; and he revealed that he was looking for something to make life a little easier for everyone.

“We are all getting a bit older, a bit creakier, and our backs are a bit more susceptible to damage,” he said. “Therefore, we started looking for something that would make everything a lot easier and after some searching, we came across the ISEKI SXG326, which we found to be very cost efficient.”

Tough, reliable, and productive, the SXG326 has been built for the most demanding users. It has a larger operator platform for a comfortable working environment and a 54” (1.37m) mower deck with wider overlapping which provides enhanced productivity and a superior quality of cut. A 2-pedal hydrostatic control and more legroom is featured while the large capacity, high torque 1123cc diesel engine is powerful and fuel efficient.

The new instrument panel and dial in height-of-cut adjustment makes the SXG326 the most operator friendly and intuitive large compact tractor mower on the market. Paul explained how the SXG326 has indeed made life easier at St Catz.

“I think the versatility of it is one of the best features – as well as cutting grass excellently it is also like an outdoor hoover. It is great at sweeping up and collecting a whole range of debris. This gives us the diversity to use it in the autumn just as much as we use it through the summer and spring. I find that it picks up remarkably well in all weathers whether it is wet or dry.

“The high tip is really good, and it means that one person can do the job a lot quicker without having someone running around fetching, carrying, shovelling, cleaning up or tipping. It combines all sorts of efficiencies.

“The size of the box is another big plus – being able to collect that amount of grass and condensing it into a huge box is fantastic. Another good feature is that all the basic maintenance points are accessible and easy to get to.

“Adjusting the height is a simple manoeuvre – there are no rulers or measurements involved, it is a simple wheel that just turns to adjust the height of cut – it is incredibly easy.

“I think what really makes a big difference for us is the lack of blockages,” continued Paul. “The size of the chute and the way that the blades cut mean that it is all gathered and shot out the back quick enough not to block.

“Essentially, you just can’t beat the value of this ISEKI machine and I would certainly recommend it to all gardeners and grounds people.”

Gerrards Cross upgrades to ISEKI: Pete Allen, Deputy Course Manager at Gerrards Cross Golf Club, claims that his new ISEKI TG6675 compact tractor has been invaluable since the day he purchased it.

Built in 1922, Gerrards Cross Golf Club is considered one of the most attractive courses in Buckinghamshire. With the River Misbourne meandering past the club house, and set in the grounds of an ancient estate, the woodland course measures 6,243 yards and is a testing par 69.

Pete claims that having a tractor to carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks on the course is essential. Therefore, when his previous tractor “couldn’t cope with some of the jobs” they needed it to do, it was time for an upgrade.

“When deciding on what tractor to purchase we looked across the whole market,” he said. “We liked the ISEKI TG6675 because it was a nice compact size, it had the right lifting capacity and had a big engine so we could use all of the implements and attachments we have. Overall, it was the complete package and the best tractor we came across.”

Plus, with the front loader, we can load all our machinery when required and also maintain our sheds with the pallet forks to keep everything neat and tidy.

“It is a solid yet compact tractor which is perfect for getting to every area of the golf course,” continued Pete. “It covers everything from a maintenance point of view, and it has been invaluable since day one.

“The backup and support have been excellent, and we couldn’t be happier. I would always consider another ISEKI machine to replace anything on our fleet which needed upgrading.”

ISEKI is brilliant in Bradwell: A volunteer who is passionate about helping his local sports club has revealed how an ISEKI compact tractor is significantly improving the standard of pitches.  

The picturesque village of Bradwell in Milton Keynes boasts successful football and cricket teams and both sports are played at the Bradwell Sports & Social Club. Until recently, the Bradwell teams had no control over the condition of the pitches as David Keene – Old Bradwell United FC’s Manager, Groundsman AND Chairman explains:

“We were at the mercy of the parish council who carried out the groundwork on the football and cricket pitches, and they did it at their convenience, but it wasn’t always convenient for us.

“It got to the point where our pitch was deemed poor by the Football Association and as a result, we secured some funding through a Football Foundation grant. This finally enabled us to purchase our own machinery so that we could maintain the pitches ourselves.

“Our local dealer, RT Machinery, recommended some tractors and specifically the ISEKI TM3267. We found that during the demonstration, the ISEKI tractor was the best within our budget.”

ISEKI raises the game for village club

ISEKI raises the game for village club: An ISEKI compact tractor is helping to raise the standard of football pitches for a local village club, based in Northamptonshire.

Deanshanger Colts & Girls were established in the summer of 1989. The club has approximately 260 children aged 6-15 and features adult teams as well. The teams play their home games at Deanshanger playing fields where there are five pitches.

Mark Pether is the man responsible for maintaining the pitches and he revealed how a much-needed Football Foundation grant finally enabled them to purchase their own maintenance equipment.

“Over the years we have never had our own equipment, and this has been a bit of an issue,” he said. “It was decided 12 months ago that we would use the Football Foundation grant and look to invest in some equipment to take care of the pitches.

“When we started looking for the equipment, we reached out to a local dealer called RT Machinery. We explained what our situation was and what we were trying to achieve, and they suggested the ISEKI TM3267.”

Mark, who uses the TM3267 at least twice a week, explained the impact it has already made at Deanshanger playing fields.

“We’ve been using it for 12 months and the quality shines through this ISEKI machine,” he said. “Never have there been any issues and it starts first time every time.

“It is powerful, and flexible enough to give us options to use all the equipment across the pitches. The size of the TM3267 is also very beneficial. We are quite confined here in terms of space at Deanshanger, but we can easily lock it away in our own container.”

Mark was also quick to praise the service he receives from ISEKI dealer RT Machinery.

“The guys at RT Machinery have been absolutely fantastic. When they delivered the ISEKI machine, they gave us a full brief on how to use the machinery and they are always there to support us if ever we need them.
