“Compared to current methods, GroundWOW offers unrivalled time and cost savings” said Tony Rhoades, GroundWOW Founder, Chairman and CEO. “GroundWOW customers will be the first in the World to have the power of full colour autonomous AI printing at their disposal for sports sponsorship and advertising applications, delivering compelling executions and unlocking revenue from dormant or underutilized real estate,” continued Rhoades.

“From a practical perspective, our SAAS cloud platform provides permanent ‘up’ time, vast secure image-to-print file conversion plus full client management including the means to remotely prime, operate, and update robots. The GroundWOW SPECIAL FX system even tells the user how much paint is required relative to the surface type which in turn delivers an environmental upside for clients. This is the first of several GroundWOW product innovations geared to drive sponsorship revenue in all sports around the world with a linked augmented reality proposition to come in early 2020” said Rhoades.

The first public outing for GroundWOW was a global reveal at Saltex2019 at the NEC on 30th October. “We always felt the product would be compelling to our target audience but the level of educated interest from world class organisations who understand what we have created has blown us away” said David Pritchard, Chief Commercial Officer. “Our primary target is stadium owner-operators” said Pritchard, “but we have been approached by creative agencies around the globe who see the commercial scope in GroundWOW as well as entities interested in the prospect of one-off creations”.

GroundWOW will be available to view in a purpose-built robot production facility based in the North West of England from January with first customer deliveries scheduled for Q1 2020. Immediate enquires can be made at www.groundwow.com or directly with Commercial Lead david@groundwow.com.

New Agria Launches At SALTEX

New Agria Launches At SALTEX: Agria UK is a new sister company to Wiedenmann UK and introduces two unique hybrid remote-controlled rotary mulching mowers at Saltex.

Agria was established near Stuttgart over 70 years ago. Originally for agriculture, it changed paths to cover soil cultivation, green space maintenance and pavement cleaning. Still prominent in these sectors, their German engineering has gained them a worldwide reputation for handheld multipurpose machines. Now their hybrid bank mowers are an exciting development and will be the specific focus for Agria UK.

Both Agria machines offer Hybrid-Drive-Concept, making them more efficient and environmentally friendly than hydraulic concepts.

The agria 9600, with its low centre of gravity and rubber tracks, powers safely through heavy duty work on steep slopes to 50°. In two widths, 112 cm and 80 cm, it cuts and mulches in two directions and is effortless on a variety of applications, including fine turf.

The agria 9500 is a remote controlled compact mower which performs to a very capable 45°.  With brushless motors and electromechanical braking it takes manoeuvrability to a new level. Zero turn, it has a working width of 70 cm and takes problem areas in its stride.

David Rae, managing director of both Agria UK and Wiedenmann UK said:

“Remote controlled units lead the way for safe technology.  These new units are perfect for purpose. Build quality and ease of use are exceptional. They help future proof the industry.

“We’ll be at Turf Maintenance Live! on Oct 22 & 23, at St Albans, then the following week will launch at the NEC for Saltex, Stand D097.”

Agria UK will operate through a network of stocking dealers across the UK and Ireland supported by Jason Bristow, Chas Ayres, Michael James and Andy Kerr.

Two New Campey Launches

Two New Campey Launches: Campey Turf Care Systems is set to introduce the Fleischmann Electric Five Deck Mower and Uni-Scratch to the American market at the Turfgrass Producers International (TPI) 2019 Summer Convention and Field Day.

The three-day convention is being held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and attendees will have the chance to visit some of the states’ best facilities including the National Sports Centre (NSC) in Blaine, Minnesota, which has the largest outdoor soccer complex in the world with natural grass facilities that include a 50 multi-use athletic field and an 18-hole PGA-Tour designed golf course.

Two New Campey Launches

Campey will be introducing the Fleishmann mower during the exhibition, with the ma-chines performance and environmentally friendly features designed specifically for turf growers and sod farmers.

The mower has five 2.20 metre cutting decks with six spindles per deck, giving a 10-metre overall cutting width. The mower features a braked steering rear axle, and the two-point pivoting front mount hitch provides high manoeuvrability, enabling cutting speeds up to 20kph.

Each blade on the five cutting decks is powered by a low maintenance electric motor, leaving behind traditional gearboxes and PTO shafts and eliminating the risk of oil leaks. The six high tip speed blades in each deck give more cuts per metre and offer excellent clipping dispersal.

An efficient modern generator is used to power the mower and lower all the factors you’d want less of. That’s low PTO requirements, low engine revs and lower noise output for quiet operation, resulting in less fuel used

The mechanics of the operation are enhanced further by the five low ground pressure castor wheels. Each deck has five wheels which are expertly designed to follow contours and iron out bumps in the surface without leaving any marks. The wheels are also used to easily set the height of cut with all other operations controlled from the in-cab control box.

The second new product being launched is the Uni-Scratch. This machine is the ideal solution for professional and effective maintenance of natural grass and can also be used for the final organic matter removal on natural grass hybrid carpet pitches when carrying out annual renovations.

For maintenance during the season, Campey offers the UNIRAKE. Users can adjust the severity of grooming to remove organic matter or simply stand the sward up to encourage growth, with altering the intensity taking no less than 30 seconds.

The Campey sales team, joined by chairman Richard Campey, will be at the convention to answer any questions on the new machines and the existing Campey product range.
