Reliability and Comfort

The Gator XUV 875M builds on the reliability of previous models with an updated rear suspension design and tuned shock absorbers to enhance comfort. Key improvements include relocating the air intake 30 cm higher to ensure cleaner air intake, protecting the engine. Additionally, the new CVT (continuously variable transmission) air intake and exhaust system help draw cleaner air, protecting the system from debris, water, and mud.

Versatility

The redesigned cargo box of the Gator XUV 875M offers 13% more space than the XUV865M model, allowing for greater carrying capacity. Other key features of the cargo box are:

  • increased width to enhance cargo capacity and reduce mud sling
  • 12V SAE power port for added convenience
  • five divider slots on the side and three at the front to secure items
  • option to create a second level of storage
  • redesigned tailgate with a flat work surface, metric and imperial measurements, v-groove for cutting pipe, anti-gravity pockets, bump stops, and cup holders
  • integrated clamping points to secure items
  • fold-flat tie-downs in the front-middle and four corners of the load bed
  • tie-down pockets for securing loads that obstruct access to the D-rings inside the cargo box
  • four stake pockets on each side to accommodate stake pocket clamps for tool storage

Peter Nelder, John Deere Product Manager for Gator Utility Vehicles & Compact Utility Tractors in Europe, said on the new cargo box features: “The redesigned cargo box on the Gator XUV 875M is a very significant improvement, offering more space and functionality for our customers. The added width and integrated clamping points provide users with greater flexibility and convenience, making it easier to carry and secure a variety of items.”

The John Deere Gator XUV 875M utility vehicle will be available to dealers from spring 2025.

They discussed the collaborative efforts and innovative techniques used to ensure the building met Avant’s high standards for quality and sustainability.

Ambassador Jukka Siukosaari, representing Finland at the event, praised Avant Tecno as an example of Finnish innovation and global excellence. During his speech, the Ambassador emphasised the importance of government support in helping Finnish companies like Avant expand internationally.

Guests at the event were treated to a guided tour of the new facility, offering a first-hand look at its innovative features. From the spacious training rooms to the automated warehouse systems, the headquarters highlights Avant Tecno UK’s focus on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Following the tour, attendees gathered for a networking lunch, further strengthening the connections between Avant, its partners, and the local community.

“Our deal with leading machinery supplier INFINICUT®, our new, purpose-built headquarters, and the appointment of Rob Hogarth give us the platform to build further business with professional sports clubs, local authorities, schools and heritage properties,” says James.

Rob Hogarth brings 40 years of experience.

Wildwood Machinery’s newly-appointed Sales Manager, Rob Hogarth brings 25 years of experience working for golf clubs across the UK, including the prestigious Remedy Oak Golf Club in Dorset where he was responsible for the ‘grow-in’ of the new course.

Rob’s priorities at Wildwood will be to drive sales of groundcare equipment and after-sales service, and to build relationships with other suitable equipment manufacturers and clients.

Rob started his greenkeeping career at his home town golf club in Peebles, rising to Head Greenkeeper at the tender age of 19 – the youngest in Scotland at the time. In 2016, Rob moved into sales, taking a Dubai-based opportunity to work across the GULF region, before returning to the UK in 2019 to work for Fairways Professional Groundcare as Sales Manager for Scotland.

“I’m very excited to be joining James and the team at Wildwood, and I’m looking forward to getting out to meet a lot of old faces and hopefully making a lot of new friendships,” says Rob.

“Wildwood Machinery has rapidly established a positive reputation since launching in 2022, and there is so much potential to build the business further with the foundations that James and his team have put in place.”

EGO Power Plus launches new Whitepaper

EGO Power Plus launches new Whitepaper: Leading battery-powered outdoor power equipment specialist, EGO Power Plus, has launched a new whitepaper to educate heavy commercial outdoor power equipment users about the benefits of switching to battery power.

Despite progress in the domestic and light commercial sector, petrol is considered the ‘go-to’ for many heavy commercial users, however EGO’s ‘Battery Power, Performance, and Public Spaces: A Case for Battery-powered Equipment’, builds the case for battery powered OPE equipment, demonstrating how batteries and tools have evolved to meet the exacting demands of professional users since the early days.

Beyond providing insight into the evolution of battery technology, the document also shares the stark differences between petrol and battery-powered tools in terms of noise and vibration levels and also reveals the results of emissions testing conducted by one of the UK’s leading emissions testing specialists on behalf of EGO.

In addition, the whitepaper also highlights the financial benefits of switching to battery power and showcases a range of efficiency advantages that can be discovered by heavy commercial users with the ever-growing range of IoT-connected equipment.

Vince Brauns, Product Director for EGO, comments: “It is fair to say that a certain ‘range anxiety’ exists for many professional OPE equipment users. In our early days as a manufacturer, domestic tool users were quicker in adopting the new technology compared to heavy trade users, with many unconvinced that the performance and run time of petrol could be surpassed. We have put all our efforts into the research and development of producing a battery platform that is arguably one of the most advanced in today’s market and the whitepaper will hopefully help to challenge any remaining misconceptions.”

This year, EGO launched its reimagined Pro X series, designed to meet the demands of heavy-duty commercial users. With upgrades and developments based on user feedback, the Pro X series is EGO’s first big step in breaking down barriers to the adoption of battery power. The whitepaper examines these perceived barriers head-on and gives readers a look at EGO’s latest developments, which should reinforce commercial users’ confidence in the capabilities of battery power.

Vince adds: “Our findings build the case that petrol has had its time. Battery technology is now at the point where it can meet the needs of the most demanding users, with fewer environmental or health risks and lower maintenance costs to support businesses. The time to switch is now”.
