New tractor mowers from EGO

New tractor mowers from EGO: Following the ground-breaking success of EGO’s zero-turn ride-on mowers, leading battery-powered outdoor power equipment specialist, EGO Power Plus, is expanding its ride-on range with two new tractor mowers.

The twin-blade tractor mowers utilise up to six EGO ARC Lithium™ 56V portable batteries, providing the same power and performance as the equivalent petrol machines. Using EGO’s portable batteries enables the user to tailor the amount of capacity they use, giving them flexibility with run-time, cost, and usage in other EGO tools in the range.

Vince Brauns, Group Product Director at EGO, said: “Following the success of our zero-turn Z6 range, we wanted to introduce more mowers to ensure we could deliver a product for every user’s needs. The new EGO ride-on tractors set the standard in battery-powered collection and side-discharge mowers. Users can now cut substantially sized lawns in comfort and with complete confidence in battery longevity.”

The new range includes the TR3800E-B 98cm ride-on collection tractor mower and the TR4200E 107cm ride-on side discharge version. Both come with powerful twin blades and pressed steel decks to ensure that the mowers combine power and performance with robust durability.

The mowers feature a front mounting that can house up to six EGO batteries and features the company’s Peak Power technology, enabling the machine to draw on the power from all batteries at once. Both models come with the CHV1600E, a 1600W fast charger that fully charges six 10Ah EGO 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries in as little as three hours.

For improved operability there is an LCD control display centrally mounted on the dashboard, enabling quick and easy adjustments to both travel and blade speeds as well as providing real time data on battery capacity. A spring-assisted adjuster with 8 pre-sets provide cutting heights of 25mm to 100mm. In addition, Bluetooth connectivity enables the user to remotely monitor machine performance and ensure that batteries are charged and ready for cutting.

Driver comfort includes an adjustable spring suspension seat and large, wide tyres which ensure both a smoother ride, added grip and better weight distribution to protect lawn integrity. LED headlights enable safe use in low-light conditions while a front bumper helps protect the chassis from potential impact damage.

The TR3800E-B 98cm ride-on collection tractor mower has collection or mulch capabilities, with a substantial 300-litre collection box to maximise cutting times. Large handles make removing and replacing the box ergonomic and easy, while a single level makes emptying the collection box quick and simple.

The TR4200E ride-on side discharge tractor mower offers even greater productivity when grass collection is not required. It can cover up to 2 acres on a single charge and has an enhanced 107cm cutting width.

The ride-on mower range is part of a series of exciting product launches from EGO in 2024. This includes the new Pro X series of hard wearing and powerful tools for professionals, which features a lawn mower, hedge trimmers, line trimmers, brush cutters, and chainsaw.

About Yamaha Golf Cars

Yamaha has a long established and exemplary reputation for engineering golf cars that offer the perfect blend of reliability, comfort and performance. Course owners and managers choose Yamaha golf cars because they are an easy way to meet the needs of golfers, enhance their enjoyment of the game, and make fleet management simple and cost effective.

Yamaha’s first golf car, the YG-292, was launched in 1975, followed by the legendary G1-A in 1979. The G1-A leveraged customer feedback on the YG-292 and was built with what would become Yamaha’s trademarks of innovative engineering, durability and reliability. In fact, there are still G1-A models in active service on golf courses today.

In the decades that followed, Yamaha racked up an impressive series of world-firsts for golf cars, from the first four-stroke engine to the first 360-degree body protection system, to the first use of electronic fuel injection. Recent innovations include the introduction of Lithium-Ion battery powered models.

Today Yamaha’s range of golf cars spans 13 different models across the Golf Car Fleet, Personal Transportation and Commercial segments, and the company produces an average of 60,000 new golf cars every year, worth approximately £360 million in sales globally.

A new era for electric loaders

A new era for electric loaders: Working with an electric loader is now more efficient than ever – even in extremely cold conditions. Avant Tecno presents the renewed e series and the third generation of fully electric loaders, whose unique battery technology further improves the capacity, pricing, safety, working time, durability, and lifespan of electric loaders. With a fully charged Avant e527, you can work all day.

Finnish compact loader manufacturer Avant Tecno has been at the forefront of the development of electric loaders for decades. Now, Avant is launching two next generation fully electric loader models, the Avant e513 and Avant e527, which will renew the Avant e series and replace their predecessors, the Avant e5 and e6 models. The new loaders will enter production in January 2024.

A new era for electric loaders

A new era for electric loaders

Unique battery technology

The new loaders are equipped with Avant OptiTemp® battery packs (13 kWh and 27 kWh) manufactured by Avant Tecno’s subsidiary Avant Power. The globally unique battery technology brings capacity to a whole new level, and the energy density of the batteries is among the best in the world. The thermal management system of the patented lithium-ion batteries guarantees the same capacity in hot and extremely cold temperatures. Multi-level protection makes Avant OptiTemp® batteries very safe.

Power for demanding professional use

The new Avant e513 and Avant e527 loaders are almost identical, but the only difference lies in the capacity of the batteries. The Avant e513 (13 kWh) is a good choice for short-term continuous use on cattle farms, horse stables, greenhouses or DIY and leisure time, for example. The Avant e527 loader (27 kWh) with a larger battery is ideal for demanding professional use. Construction and demolition contractors will benefit from this model.

The fully electric Avants are ideal for working in confined spaces and on construction sites that have strict limits on noise and emissions.

A full workday on a single charge

When fully charged in the morning, the Avant e527 loader (27kWh) can be used for a whole working day. The maximum operating time of the machine is about 6 hours for medium-duty work, whereas for Avant e513, it is about 3 hours. The battery of both loaders can be fully charged with a fast charger in under 1.5 hours, allowing for long working days.

A new era for electric loaders

A new era for electric loaders

“For years, the market has been longing for fully electric loaders that would be more like diesel loaders in terms of functionality. Until now, operating time and pricing have been key issues related to electric loaders, but with Avant’s new e series, we solve them both”, says Jani Käkelä, CEO of Avant Tecno.

The renewed Avant e series

  • Fully electric loader series. Zero-emission, very quiet. Low operating and maintenance costs.
  • Two models: Avant e513 (battery capacity 13 kWh) and Avant e527 (battery capacity 27 kWh).
  • Excellent capacity in hot conditions and severe frosts.
  • Fast charge in under 1.5 hours. Type 2 charging, built-in 3 kW battery charger. The maximum charging current has been increased by 50% compared to previous Avant electric loaders.
  • Two electric motors: one for driving hydraulics, and one for auxiliary hydraulics, boom, and steering. Thanks to the electric motor, maximum torque is immediately applied, which ensures excellent thrust.
  • The further improved cooling system in the engine package keeps the machine’s heat under control even in soft terrain. Increased load resistance in short-term hard work.
  • The updated multifunction display provides information on battery status, temperature, power consumption, operating hours, auxiliary hydraulics output, maintenance needs, and more.
  • Same appearance as in Avant’s diesel-powered 500 and 600 series loaders.

New TransPro transforms transport

New TransPro transforms transport: There’s good news for owners of the popular Toro ProCore 648 or 648s aerators, there’s now an easy transport option for this essential bit of kit. The new TransPro 648 eliminates the need for pulling the aerators across the course or loading onto a utility vehicle.

The Toro ProCore aerator line is legendary because of its ability to cover significant amounts of ground in quick time and now the TransPro backs up that offering with a transport option that makes aeration tasks even quicker.

New TransPro transforms transport

New TransPro transforms transport

This neat trailer allows for quick loading and unloading with easy securing and release of the aerator. The design uniquely incorporates a raised rigid edge which specifically aligns with the aerator’s wheel while loading and retains its position in transit.

The high-strength ramp automatically adjusts while loading and a simply centred latch allows for fast, efficient securing and releasing, with no need for straps. The ramp can secure its cargo by automatically lifting, while the trailer length and hitch height are adjustable allowing for multiple towing options as well as easy storage.

The large flotation tyres minimise ground pressure and absorb uneven ground and bumps, ensuring a smooth ride across the course.

Jon Cole, divisional business manager for Reesink Turfcare, distributor of Toro fine turf machinery in the UK, says: “The whole point of the ProCore is to create a clean, even finish to the greens. It’s therefore counterintuitive to risk damage to the turf in the process of transporting the machine back and forth across the course. Now, there is a transport option dedicated to and worthy of a machine of this standing.”

Customers can streamline their operations and protect their investment with the Toro TransPro 648. And it’s now available from Reesink Turfcare.
