Back to school with Corvus Off-Road Vehicles: Several UK Corvus dealers were back at school for a week in November on the first-ever BOSS ORV technical training course at the Corvus factory in Murcia, Spain. Corvus, Europe’s first 4×4 utility vehicle manufacturer, was commended for the effort put into the organisation of the event, which was led by Gabriel Motos and José Fernández Blázquez.

The course covered a full factory tour and classes on the latest Corvus Terrain Diesel DX machines, described by Boss as following the line of its predecessors, but with improved aspects that make it definitely superior. The range comprises five models, or variations, and the course covered all aspects. There was also specialised training on the new fully electric Corvus EX4, which the company defines as an all-electric 4×4 utility vehicle with lower maintenance cost coupled with great robustness and durability.

The factory visit and course is the first of a series and Phil Everett, the BOSS ORV Managing Director, praised the dealers attending for engaging in the training and helping to develop the courses for future attendees. Corvus Off-Road Vehicle accessories: Existing and prospective owners of Corvus Off-Road Vehicles now have a wider range of accessories available to enhance the looks and performance of their Terrain utility vehicles.

Set out in a new 2023 brochure, which can be downloaded as a PDF from the distributor’s website www.bossorv.co.uk the accessories range from protective steel front bumpers to snow tracks and a host of useful devices in between that can be specified or retro-fitted. The front bumpers, which include installation components, are designed to allow the installation of a front winch and there is a choice of WARN winches with hauling capacities from 1,500kg to 2,041kg. These can be operated from a dashboard switch or by the top-of-the-range WARN wireless system, which lets you remote control from up to 15 metres away. Selection of tyres is an important factor for all types of tough terrain where traction is critical, and the CST Clincher tyre offers high grip in all situations. Options on wheels include light, sports design 14” aluminium rims or 14” matt black steel rims that are highly resistant to shocks and temperature changes. A spare wheel comes complete with Clincher tyre and can be used on any axle.

Safety, storage and comfort are pre-eminent factors for hard-working 4×4 utility vehicles and the range of accessories in these categories live up to the Corvus Terrain reputation for quality and productivity. There is rear windscreen impact protection with a tubular steel grill, a luggage roof rack and side storage pods for extra storage, cargo box cover and protective anti-slip silicone carpet. An electro-hydraulic system for tilting the cargo box can be fitted and operated from a switch on the dashboard. Steel side extensions are available to maximise the storage volume of the cargo box area. Creature comforts are catered for with a two-door pack of driver and passenger full doors with windows, half doors or net half doors. The front windscreen can be tempered glass or a protective glass flip-up to let in the breeze and both have a wiper and jet kit. There’s additional safety with a reversing warning device with sound and light and a rotary emergency light kit which includes wiring and switch. To round off, when the snow’s on the ground or the terrain demands it, an adapter kit lets you install Camso 4S1 snow tracks for the ultimate traction (Terrain models T21 onwards).

Can-Am off-road revolution drives into LAMMA: Focusing on power, performance and versatility, BRP is showcasing the new Can-Am Traxter HD7 and Can-Am Traxter HD9 at LAMMA 2022 in hall six stand 6.850. These SSVs highlight that Can-Am’s off-road line-up continues to prioritise the user, as they have been designed to handle the job demands of utility riders as well as the challenging conditions they face on a daily basis.

The Can-Am Traxter HD7 is a work ready vehicle that provides the user with consistent performance, no matter the terrain. With the help of the new HD7 Rotax engine, the vehicle has been optimised for off-road use and produces 37 per cent more power than the HD5 engine it has replaced.

The Can-Am Traxter HD9 offers class-leading power and low-end torque through the new Rotax HD9 engine, so travelling up the side of hills or towing and carrying cargo on the flat is now easier and more efficient.

The other vehicles on show are made up of Can-Am’s most popular models. The price competitive Can-Am Outlander 450 is built with class-leading performance, no matter the rigours of any situation put in front of it. The Can-Am Outlander 570 XU combines controlled handling, power and performance, enabling the user to travel across multiple terrains with ease and efficiently tow and carry cargo.

A selection of Can-Am Traxter SSVs, built to take on the toughest jobs quickly, easily, efficiently and safely, will also be present on the stand.

To support the vehicles, the Can-Am off-road team will be on hand to highlight its exclusive partnership with the NFU; to communicate the importance of ATV and SSV security and the benefits of Can-Am’s Digitally Encoded Security System (D.E.S.S.) Key, which restricts access to the bike’s electronic ignition system; to highlight its responsible rider programme; and promote its road legal vehicle line-up, and the exclusive finance offer run by Société Générale.
