Industry supporters gather for Party for Perennial: Last week, the horticulture community came together for a night of camaraderie and generosity at Party for Perennial, hosted at Core Bar in London and proudly sponsored by Core Landscape Products. The event saw industry supporters unite in support of Perennial.

Guests enjoyed the evening, showing their support by purchasing raffle tickets and pledging their ongoing commitment by Digging Deep for Perennial in 2024 through a number of fundraising activities.

Jamie Gault, Perennial’s Chief Executive, says: “Our community can always be relied upon to pull together to make a difference to people in horticulture, Party for Perennial is a great example of this. Thank you to our generous supporters for joining us on this fabulous fundraising evening.”

The event not only provided a chance for networking and enjoyment but also served as an opportunity to raise awareness and fundraise for Perennial, which allows us to support individuals in horticulture and their families.

Manni Keates Managing Director of Core Landscape Products (pictured above) said: “A fantastic evening for a great cause, we’re pleased to support Perennial in all the vital work they do for our Industry.”

Katie Wood from VegTrug added: “Party for Perennial is a key networking event in the business calendar! A great night in London with the chance to catch up with so many industry friends, whilst also connecting with new contacts. All to support a great cause too.”

The success of Party for Perennial was further enhanced by the generosity of sponsors who donated raffle prizes, including:

On 4 October we look forward to welcoming even more supporters to our Dig Deep Fundraising Lunch at The Cumberland, London. This is the charity’s new, feel-good fundraising lunch, hosted by James Alexander – Sinclair, with special guest Alan Titchmarsh.

Let’s come together as a community for this end-of-season fundraising highlight and celebrate your fundraising efforts together with Perennial in what is the charity’s 185th year.

In the charity’s 185th year, the fundraiser, proudly sponsored by Core Landscape Products, is a memorable way to dig deep for your industry peers while making new connections and catching up with familiar faces. The ticket price of £35 includes bubbles on arrival and some delicious nibbles, plus the chance to win some great prizes in the Party for Perennial raffle.

“Phil and the team at Perennial play a vital role in our industry. We have been big supporters of the charity for the last few years and try to help wherever we can. Perennial knows only too well that times are tough, particularly amidst the current cost of living crisis. Consequently, there’s been a significant 21% increase in individuals seeking personal support. The charity’s online tools have also become more important with a 27% increase in people in need accessing digital resources.

There are lots of reasons why people turn to the charity, such as bereavement, the impact of an accident, health issues or a family breakdown. As the only UK charity helping everyone working in or retired from horticulture and their families, Perennial relies on support from the industry.

All proceeds from Party for Perennial ticket sales and raffle help support people in need. Every time Perennial’s supporters dig deep, they make a difference to the lives of people in horticulture and their families.

Party for Perennial 2023

Party for Perennial 2023: Perennial were thrilled to welcome many of our industry supporters to Party for Perennial in London last week.

The celebration at Core Bar, near St Paul’s Cathedral. Many guests made pledges to support Perennial further by taking part in the NUTS and Firewalk challenges later in the year, providing auction and raffle prizes for future events and booking a table at the 185th Anniversary dinner in 2024.

The fun networking event for the horticulture trade raises both awareness and support for people in horticulture and their families who come to Perennial for help.

Trudy Martin from New Look Landscapes said: “It was our first time attending Party for Perennial so we were not too sure what to expect. It turned out to be a fantastic night and a great way to meet others in the industry. We left with a couple of amazing raffle prizes and some great contacts. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you Perennial.”

Stuart Ball from John Chambers Wildflower commented: “Great to meet industry colleagues and friends – new and old – at a super venue and all in a good cause. It was nice to catch up with everyone on a relaxed and fun evening! Cheers!!”

As the only charity that helps individuals working in and retired from all sectors of the horticulture industry, Perennial is a lifeline for people that have nowhere else to turn.

Tickets on sale for Party for Perennial 2023: Join friends and colleagues from across the horticulture industry on Thursday 4th May at Core Bar in the heart of the City, for an evening of fun and fundraising for Perennial.

It’s the perfect way to make new contacts as well as catch up with established ones in a fun and informal atmosphere. The ticket price of £30 includes a glass of bubbles on arrival and some delicious nibbles, plus the chance to win some amazing prizes in the Party for Perennial raffle.

All proceeds from ticket sales and the raffle help Perennial support people in horticulture. The Charity’s primary purpose is to build better futures for all those working with plants, trees, flowers and grass. Providing free confidential support, advice and information through their dedicated team based around the country.

It’s a fun evening spent with friends and colleagues and a great way to help us support more people in horticulture. Over the last couple of years we’ve launched a range of new tools to help everyone at any stage of life, including a Health and Wellbeing app and a Financial Management Tool.  People can also access free physiotherapy, legal advice and support to find employment. It’s only through growing our partnerships with businesses and organisations across the industry that we can reach more people so everyone in the industry can benefit from our free, confidential support, advice and information.
