Product innovations at GaLaBau 2024

Product innovations at GaLaBau 2024: Preparations are already underway for the appearance at Europe’s largest trade fair for the green industry in Germany in autumn. AriensCo will of course be represented at GaLaBau 2024 with both the AS-Motor and Ariens brands.

The entire team is looking forward to presenting visitors with a veritable firework display of new products. Another new feature is that the experts for high grass mowing, lawn care and snow clearing can be found in Hall 9 at Stand 420.

Product innovations at GaLaBau 2024

The aim of AriensCo’s trade fair appearance in Nuremberg from 11 to 14 September 2024 is to welcome sales partners from all over Europe as well as trade visitors from the municipal and service sectors to our stand. We also welcome private users who are looking for solutions for their individual mowing requirements or are looking for a final confirmation of their purchase. In addition to the current product portfolio, visitors can look forward to numerous innovations, which will be on show in action both at the new exhibition stand in Hall 9 and on the open-air site.

New products from AS-Motor

AS-Motor presents two results of several years of development work. One innovation comes from the field of RC devices, the remote-controlled mowers. In addition to the tried and tested AS 940 Sherpa RC remote-controlled ride-on mower and the highly successful AS 1000 OVIS RC chain-driven flail mower, a new remote-controlled high grass mower will be causing quite a stir. The second innovation from the tall grass experts comes from the field of alternative drives. At the AriensCo stand in Hall 9, visitors will be amazed at how much power there is in Li-ion batteries and what is possible with them in the tall grass sector.

News from Ariens

Last year, Ariens celebrated its 90th anniversary in the USA. This was taken as an opportunity to revise the entire range of zero-turn ride-on mowers. After being adapted to the CE standard, the new models are now being launched on the European market. From the entry-level Edge model for private gardens to the price-performance star Apex and the professional Zenith model, the complete series of zero-turn ride-on mowers will be on display at stand 9-420. Another topic that is currently being worked on is the use of zero-turn mowers on public paths. A solution for this is also expected to be on display at GaLaBau 2024 in autumn.

Redexim scoop ‘Product of the Year’ at SAPCA Awards

Redexim scoop ‘Product of the Year’ at SAPCA Awards: The Verti-Top® TB from Redexim has been crowned the winner of ‘Product of the Year’ at the 2024 SAPCA Awards.

Now into their ninth year, the SAPCA Awards celebrate the achievements of SAPCA members across the sports and play facility construction industry. The six categories are designed to highlight the valuable contribution that SAPCA members make to facilities and communities up and down the country.

Shortlisted in two categories, the Verti-Top® Tow Behind (TB) works on the same principle as the Verti-Top® 1200 and larger 1800 PTO driven series but utilises a 6.5hp engine. This allows the machine to be towed by any vehicle without the requirement for a PTO, thus reducing combined weight while offering effective cleaning and dust/debris extraction. It’s ability to screen and clean sand and natural infill materials means the Verti-Top® TB is suited to industry standards of the future – actively reducing bacterial and airborne contamination and other health risks.

On collecting the trophy for ‘Product of the Year’ Paul Langford, Commercial Director for Redexim UK, said, “We have always been ahead of the curve when it comes to providing the maintenance solutions demanded by the industry and this award reflects the effort of the whole Redexim team to ensure we are continuously meeting the environmental and industry challenges of today, and those into the future. A big thank you to SAPCA for hosting a brilliant event and congratulations to all the other winners and nominees.”

Green-tech’s latest rural product addition

Green-tech’s latest rural product addition: Earlier this year Green-tech received the first delivery of the new Rainbow Professional Terra tree shelter.

The new tree shelter is manufactured from UK-sourced wood that biodegrades naturally in soil.

Green-tech’s latest rural product addition

Green-tech’s latest rural product addition

Green-tech is the largest supplier of Rainbow tree protection products in the UK and was the first to place an order while the product was still in development.

On Wednesday 21st November, Rainbow Professional attended the 2023 Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards where they were delighted and proud to win the “Sustainable Product of the Year” award.

Green-tech’s marketing director Kate Humes comments, “We have worked with Rainbow Professional for many years and have collaborated closely with them whilst they developed the new Terra tree shelter.  It’s the only independently certified soil biodegradable tree shelter that is 100% plant-based and non-toxic that biodegrades into healthy nutrients. It’s a tremendous product and a lot of years of R&D has gone into producing it so I am thrilled for Alex, Pierre, and the Rainbow team.”

The Pro Landscaper Sustainability & Biodiversity Awards recognise the environmental benefits that companies and projects in the sector provide. The awards are on a mission to showcase the most important innovations and initiatives across the UK landscaping sector, from design and construction to product supply and manufacturing. Judges of the ‘Sustainable Product of the Year’ were looking for products that give back to the natural environment and are designed for a long lifespan, in an aesthetically pleasing way.

Pierre Talpe, Director at Rainbow Professional Limited commented: “We are so happy to receive this recognition for our work developing the Rainbow Terra over the last four years. Our industry needs to move towards tree shelters that are certified to be biodegradable in the right environments and can be left behind with a clean conscience.”

Judges’ comments include, “Great product and far better than the conventional solution.” “Good product which is underpinned by external certification regarding soil biodegradation.” “A much-needed product, I look forward to seeing how it develops.”

Rainbow Professional’s Alex Talpe adds, “We are keen to work collaboratively with the industry, as we transition to using biodegradable tree shelters. Please contact us if you are interested in learning more.”

Kate concludes, “As more and more of our customers seek plastic-free tree protection alternatives I am delighted that we have added the award-winning Rainbow Terra to our rural tree planting portfolio. Green-tech is all about offering customers choice and this has proved a very popular product. Well done and good luck to the Rainbow team,”

Soil carbon data added to product information

Soil carbon data added to product information: In its drive to lead the industry in providing extensive product information to its customers, British Sugar TOPSOIL is measuring its BS3882:2015-compliant general purpose topsoil, Landscape20, for total soil carbon.

Soil scientists Tim O’Hare Associates have carried out a comprehensive audit of the carbon contained in a typical sample of Landscape20 and will now sample the soil every six months at the point of despatch to monitor its carbon content.

Soil carbon data added to product information

Soil carbon data added to product information

The focus on soil health and its role in mitigating climate change has drawn attention to the levels of carbon that can be stored in soil. In order to give British Sugar TOPSOIL’s customers useful data on Landscape20’s carbon sequestration potential – i.e. its ability to capture and store atmospheric carbon dioxide, which is a major contributor to global warming – Tim O’Hare Associates will be monitoring:

  • Organic Carbon Stock (tonnes/Ha)
  • Total Carbon
  • Soil Organic Carbon
  • Soil Inorganic Carbon
  • Soil Organic Matter
  • Total Nitrogen
  • Organic Carbon:Nitrogen ratio

National TOPSOIL Manager Andy Spetch said: “We believe this data on the carbon content of Landscape20 topsoil will be particularly useful to housebuilders, developers, and construction and landscaping professionals who need to evidence their approach to delivering environmentally sustainable homes to regulatory and other bodies. All this information is freely accessible and downloadable from our website and customers can call us if they require clarification on the carbon content or any other technical aspect of our products.”
