Redexim will help you be ‘renovation ready’

Redexim will help you be ‘renovation ready’: Aerators, seeders, topdressers and more will all take centre stage on the Redexim stand as they return to BTME in 2023.

Proven to be one of the most accurate dimple seeders on the market, the Redexim Multi-Seeder promises to be a particular highlight on stand 532 – where visitors can also find out about a brand-new promotion which will be a must-have for those looking to overseed as part of their spring renovations!

Equally as suited to work on fine turf and amenity areas, the Multi-Seeder features twin spiked rollers which saturates the ground with up to 1890 holes per sq.m, creating the perfect dimple in which to deliver the seed. The Multi-Seeder 1600 model offers a 1.6m working width, the ability to have fixed or floating rollers to suit undulating ground and a rear-mounted brush which sweeps the surface to ensure not just optimal seed to soil contact, but leave a clean and tidy finish.

The Multi-Seeder is also one of a selection of models included in a brand-new promotion, launching ahead of renovation season. To help with the rising costs associated with overseeding, Redexim have proudly teamed up with Origin Amenity Solutions (OAS), to offer those that purchase a Redexim seeder an exclusive deal worth over £500!

Alongside the Multi-Seeder will be other machines from the Redexim range that are critical to successful fine turf maintenance. The Verti-Drain 2519 is widely recognised as the leading high-speed, high-productivity aerator – featuring a 1.9m working width and the ability to accept a wide range of tine options. Re-engineered to include a new draw-rod system and an easy-to-adjust heave lever, the 2519 offers a PTO speed of up to 540rpm – allowing it to cover almost 9000sq.m per hour when spaced at 165mm.

Also launching at BTME will be a new addition to their topdressing range, which promises to deliver accuracy, adjustability and a brand new user-friendly interface for maximum versatility and efficiency. For more information on this, or any of the products from across the Redexim range, be sure to speak to the technical team on stand 532 in January.

Redexim return to SALTEX

Redexim return to SALTEX: Redexim are excited to be making their post-pandemic return to SALTEX with a new stand providing the platform to showcase their vast portfolio of equipment critical to successful sports turf maintenance.

As their 40th anniversary celebrations continue, the latest iteration of where it all began – the iconic Verti-Drain® – will feature on stand M075, where visitors will also have the opportunity to enter Redexim’s big birthday competition for a chance of winning a ‘fast and furious’ prize!

Redexim return to SALTEX

The very first Verti-Drain® rolled off the production line in 1980, with Redexim UK gaining the rights to sell the now iconic aerator from their inception in 1982. Such was the success and impression that the Verti-Drain® made on the professional market, the name became an eponym for the operation of opening up the ground, with grounds managers to this day understanding the benefits of ‘Verti-Draining’ on a regular basis. Over the years, models were introduced that opened new doors with contractors and golf courses, and while the concept of the Verti-Drain® has been often imitated, its quality has never been matched.

The latest model, the Redexim Verti-Drain® 2519, has now set the benchmark when it comes to high-speed, high-productivity aerators. Featuring a 1.9m working width and an ability to accept a wide range of tine options, the 2519 can cover almost 9000 sq.m per hour thanks to its PTO speed of up to 540rpm. This efficiency, combined with Redexim reliability, has made it a popular choice with both greenkeepers and grounds managers alike.

As thoughts turn to the autumn and the aeration season ahead, thoughts will also be turning to the spectacle that is the FIFA World Cup, kicking off a fortnight after SALTEX. To mark the world’s largest football celebration, and in conjunction with their 40th anniversary, Redexim will be inviting visitors to predict the outcome of this year’s tournament for their chance to be the lucky winner of an experience to remember.

More details of all the latest additions to the Redexim range, and entry into the World Cup competition, can be found by speaking to the technical team on hand across the two days, at the NEC this November.

Redexim Rink proves a versatile solution

Redexim Rink proves a versatile solution: With approximately 80 acres of sports turf making up the 250 acre estate of Merchant Taylors’ School, the key word for Grounds Manager Richard Ayling when it comes to maintenance is ‘efficiency’.

Delivering that efficiency when it comes to topdressing is a Rink 2020 dropdresser from Redexim – purchased originally for the purpose of applying loam to the schools 11 cricket squares, but now demonstrating versatility for year-round applications around the site.

Richard and his team of nine are responsible for the upkeep of the surfaces, which alternate between summer and winter sports for use by both the pupils and a number of teams from the community. “It’s a high usage site and the equipment we use needs to be able to keep up with the tight turnarounds and renovation windows we have to work to” explains Richard, who has been at the independent day school for 26 years.

“Every cricket renovation season, we’re applying around 32 tonnes of loam dressing and our previous machine would only hold a quarter of a tonne at a time so we needed something bigger to make the job quicker and less labour intensive.” After researching the options available, it was a Rink 2020 that fitted the bill – accurately and evenly distributing dressings and offering a 2.0m3 hopper capacity, equating to two tonnes of cricket loam per load.

“What we didn’t want with a bigger machine is something that would result in increased compaction. The design of the Rink, with its large rear tyres, effectively spreads the weight so we pass over the squares and leave no marks. It’s incredibly easy to use and adjust meaning we can simply load it up and go – getting the operation done, quicker and with improved quality of distribution.”

Thanks to its ability to accurately adjust the spreading thickness, once cricket renovation season is complete in early autumn, the Rink will then switch to hold sand and/or topdressing soil for in-season dressing and repairs to the football pitches and lawned areas. “What was initially purchased as a solution to one specific problem, has become a versatile machine which we use in different ways throughout the maintenance calendar. It’s been a fantastic addition to our fleet.”
