For almost 50 years, Rolawn has been at the forefront of market trends and developments in the horticulture and construction sectors, recently introducing biodiversity supportive products under the BioScapes brand. Wildflower turf is a logical range extension as the business continues to help customers to comply with environmental legislative change.

Rolawn works with Feefo

Rolawn works with Feefo: Rolawn has subscribed to a newly launched initiative with Feefo – the world’s largest verified reviews provider – whereby tree-planting projects are funded in return for genuine customer reviews.

As part of its sustainability strategy, Rolawn pursues opportunities to make a positive impact on the environment and this is the latest example of the business acting on its commitment. With this new feature, Rolawn is assisting their customers who wish to “give something back” with their purchase. It comes at a time when consumers are increasingly choosing to purchase from sustainably conscious businesses:

Rolawn supplies winning gardens

Rolawn supplies winning gardens: The UK’s leading turf and topsoil supplier has supplied its Medallion® Turf to multiple award-winning gardens at this week’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.  

Rolawn’s Medallion Turf is currently being used in multiple show gardens and stands at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show – many of which have been awarded coveted RHS gold medals.

The company has seen its turf incorporated into schemes by some of the country’s leading garden designers at this year’s show, including the gold-winning design by leading Garden Designer and Plantsman, Chris Beardshaw, who also incorporated Rolawn’s topsoil and compost into his “A Life Worth Living Garden.”

Rolawn’s partner stockist, London Lawn Turf Company, were also involved in supplying product to exhibitors at the show.

Along with RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Rolawn is the chosen supplier for some of the country’s most prestigious events, gardens and garden designers, including to The Royal Parks and Palaces.

Rolawn secures independent environmental accreditation

Rolawn secures independent environmental accreditation: Market-leading turf and topsoil producer, Rolawn Limited, has achieved continued accreditation under the Green Achiever scheme for the fourth consecutive year. Achieving the Diamond Banner Award, Rolawn secured the highest level in the scheme.

Rolawn, based in the Vale of York, has secured the status under the Green Achiever scheme which offers environmental accreditation to businesses wishing to obtain independent acknowledgement of their green credentials and verification that they are actively reducing their environmental impact.

Ken Brewster, Rolawn’s Marketing Director, said: “We have a robust and proactive environmental strategy, not all of which is necessarily visible to our audience, so the continuation of this accreditation is really valuable in helping us to reassure our customers that we take this seriously.

“Integrity is important to us at Rolawn and that includes implementing improvements that aren’t overtly obvious, yet still make a real difference, for example the installation of onsite solar panels which has made a significant contribution to production.”

To achieve Diamond Banner Award status, Rolawn had to evidence proactivity on a range of levels from day to day, ground level operations, such as energy consumption and recycling, right through to higher level operational compliance with complex environmental legislation.
