Greenmaster Liquid Advance sets a new standard

Designed for professional turf managers, the range combines proven liquid nutrition with a biostimulant package containing MTU®, a patented molecule now available in turf for the first time.

MTU® has been developed to support plant efficiency when conditions limit normal turf response. Stresses such as low light, temperature extremes, and heavy wear can restrict nutrient uptake and recovery. By helping maintain key plant processes during these periods, MTU® supports turf resilience and more consistent performance.

Integrated into the Greenmaster Liquid Advance formulations, MTU® works alongside balanced nutrition to help turf make more effective use of applied nutrients under pressure. The range also contains pidolic acid, included to support nutrient uptake and stress tolerance, giving turf managers a practical way to feed surfaces when stress limits normal plant response.

Key benefits for turf managers

  • More consistent turf response under challenging conditions
  • Improved nutrient efficiency and colour retention
  • Stronger recovery and playing quality under pressure

Andy Owen, International Technical Manager at ICL, said: “Greenmaster Liquid Advance is designed to support turf performance when stress limits normal plant response. Conditions such as low light, temperature extremes and heavy wear reduce how efficiently turf can use applied nutrition. By combining proven liquid nutrition with MTU® and pidolic acid, the range helps maintain key plant processes under stress, supporting more consistent turf performance and colour through challenging periods.”

Jaroslav Nisler, Head of the Isotope Laboratory at the Institute of Experimental Botany in the Czech Republic and the lead scientist behind MTU®, added: “MTU® is a patented molecule with a clear mode of action. Even at very low concentrations it delivers results, helping turf maintain green leaf area and recover more quickly after stress. Its inclusion in Greenmaster Liquid Advance makes this technology available to turf managers for the first time.”

Availability

Greenmaster Liquid Advance is available now through ICL’s distribution network.

Agrovista’s new line-marking duo sets new standards

Agrovista’s new line-marking duo sets new standards: Agrovista Amenity has introduced two new innovations to support grounds teams with accurate, efficient pitch marking: the Max-Line line-marking paint range and the exclusive PaintMaster Pro RLM01 robotic line marker. Together, they provide a simple, reliable solution for achieving professional results across a wide range of sports facilities.

Max-Line: Superior line-marking performance

Max-Line is Agrovista Amenity’s latest line-marking paint range, developed to deliver exceptional coverage, durability, and visibility. Designed for both conventional and robotic line-marking systems, the paint is formulated to deliver crisp, long-lasting lines that withstand play and weather conditions.

Agrovista’s new line-marking duo sets new standards

Agrovista’s new line-marking duo sets new standards

David Mitchell, Line Marking Business Development Manager at Agrovista Amenity, explained the thinking behind the new range:

“What we wanted to do was create a line-marking offer that is simplified but effective, covering all the bases while looking forward to the latest paint formulation technology.”

David highlighted how ranges within Max-Line have been designed with robotic markers in mind:

“With our nozzle technology, you can mark out a full-size pitch using under three litres of paint. That means a robotic marker can complete multiple pitches without having to constantly stop and refill, which is exactly what grounds teams need.

“We’ve also moved away from the throwaway plastic nozzles, which when blocked are difficult to clean and gone to stainless steel nozzles that can be stripped down, cleaned, and reused. If you don’t lose it, you’ve basically got a nozzle for life. It’s all about making the process sustainable, easier and more reliable for the customer.”

PaintMaster Pro RLM01: Exclusive to Agrovista Amenity

The PaintMaster Pro RLM01 is available exclusively through Agrovista Amenity in the UK.

Compact and intelligent, it sets a new benchmark for robotic line marking, combining centimetre-level GNSS positioning with simple, intuitive controls.

Key features include:

High precision: Dual GNSS positioning and optional laser kit deliver centimetre-level accuracy, even under trees or near stands.

Smart efficiency: A 0.5 kWh battery marks up to 8 full-size football pitches, with the option to extend to 16. Quick battery swaps allow continuous operation.

Smart control: Cloud-based software with real-time monitoring, multi-device management, automatic field switching, and remote app control.

Built around you: Portable design, quick-change paint refills, simple maintenance, and finance options.

Optional attachments, such as a handheld point marker and laser kit, further enhance flexibility, making the RLM01 suitable for football, rugby, athletics, and multi-sport facilities.

David believes it is a genuine step forward for grounds teams:

“For me, this robotic line marker represents the next step. It’s compact, easy to use, and incredibly efficient. Grounds teams can set it up quickly, let it get on with the job, and focus on other tasks — that’s where the real value lies.”

He added that its affordability also makes it stand out:

“We’ve been able to bring this robot to market at a much more accessible price point. I’ve already got customers, including contractors and local authorities, who are choosing to buy two machines instead of one because it makes sense for their budgets and doubles their productivity. In addition, we also offer finance and lease options that can be individually tailored to help fit within budgets.

“Recognising the importance of after-sales support we have partnered with XDC Autonomous Solutions who have considerable knowledge and expertise in the line marking robotics industry. XDC provide our customers with a comprehensive installation, training and support package via their UK based customer service team.”

A complete pitch-marking solution

By pairing the high-performance Max-Line paint with the cutting-edge PaintMaster Pro RLM01, Agrovista Amenity is offering grounds teams a package that saves time, reduces effort, and improves cost-effectiveness — all without compromising on quality.

“Our objective was to make life easier for grounds teams,” David concluded. “Max-Line gives them a reliable paint system that works brilliantly with both manual and robotic machines, while the RLM01 makes robotic marking more affordable and accessible than ever before. Together, they offer a solution that’s simple, efficient, and built around the customer.”

Redexim Verti-Top® sets the synthetic standard

Redexim Verti-Top® sets the synthetic standard: A rise in demand for synthetic surface cleaning from schools and sports clubs has triggered the purchase of a Redexim Verti-Top® for contractors Cutting Edge GM.

The adaptability of this award-winning artificial cleaning system has facilitated the diversification of the services offered by the grounds maintenance outfit – with its ability to effectively decompact and clean a range of infill materials to leave a professional, play-ready finish.

Redexim Verti-Top® sets the synthetic standard

The team of eight that make up Cutting Edge pride themselves on being passionate about sports surfaces, providing a range of services to keep natural and artificial turf surfaces around Teesside, North Yorkshire & County Durham in first-rate condition. To cope with an increasing number of enquiries for synthetic pitch cleaning, Director Josh Blackburn decided the time was right to invest in a new solution and quickly decided the Redexim Verti-Top® was the right machine for them. “Not only is the Verti-Top® quicker than our previous cleaner, the build quality is fantastic and the quality of finish is brilliant. This machine sets the standard for this process without a shadow of a doubt.”

Suited to most types of synthetic turf, the Verti-Top® effectively lifts and collects debris, while the oscillating sieve and vacuum system tackle even the tiniest of particles. The cleaned infill is then returned, leaving a safe, contamination and compaction-free surface, that looks good and plays well. Josh opted for the Verti-Top® 1200, with 1.2m working width, delivered in spring 2024 by local dealer Rickerby.

“The purchase and installation process was fantastic! Tom Alexander from Rickerby together with Redexim’s Allen Whellans, conducted full training with the team and demonstrated the various ways to set the unit up to get the very best results. There’s so much flexibility with this machine, including a range of sieve options, which means we can work with all types of infill material, including the newer, organic and natural infill types.”

He continues, “As soon as the cold and frosty conditions pass, we will be out with the Verti-Top® getting surfaces cleaned up and safe for the start of the new playing season. We had outstanding feedback from customers on the process last year and look forward to being able to grow this side of our business further with such a capable and versatile machine at our disposal.”

SIS sets the stage for Riyadh’s Season Cup

SIS sets the stage for Riyadh’s Season Cup: Season Cup, Riyadh’s showpiece football tournament featuring Messi and Ronaldo, was made possible thanks to the world’s first fully indoor hybrid pitch built in 21 days by global sports surfaces specialist, SIS Pitches.

The competition forms part of the Riyadh Season, a festival featuring both live sport and entertainment in the capital, funded by the Saudi government’s Public Investment Fund. All Season Cup games take place at the Kingdom Arena in front of 24,000 fans. During the competition, the stadium received two Guinness World Records. The first for being the largest covered football stadium; the second for having the largest seating capacity for an indoor covered stadium.

SIS sets the stage for Riyadh’s Season Cup

Setting the stage for the cup’s major fixtures, including Al Nassr vs. Inter Miami, was a major challenge for SIS Pitches. Construction and development of the elite indoor sports venue started in late 2023, giving the business a much shorter window to install and prepare a playing surface fit for top-level competition.

However, this short window was only one part of the challenge. SIS also had to ensure the natural turf grew strong enough to properly secure the small percentage of synthetic fibres stitched into the arena’s surface, as is standard for hybrid pitches of this type. This process was made harder by the arena’s fully indoor design, which has no windows or roof for sunlight to enter. The SIS team worked around this by using ultraviolet growing lights to prepare the pitch in time.

Sela, the developer responsible for the arena, requested a game-ready playing surface in just three weeks, much shorter than the typical window for a major development of this type. This aligned with the pace of construction for the wider stadium, which was completed in just 60 days.

Speed and resilience were key. SISGrass, the solution specified by SIS, merges natural turf with a small percentage of polymer yarn. Already used by many of the most recognisable names in sports, this mixture is injected by the company’s patented electric stitching machine, providing a more consistent and resilient playing surface. SIS’s machine is capable of covering 1300m2 metres per day with a 90mm shallow stitch, making it ideal for quick installs like that requested by Sela.

SISGrass is much harder-wearing than an all-natural pitch, and is proven to accommodate more playing hours while also being less susceptible to wear or damage. This was particularly important for the Kingdom Arena, given the small window groundspeople have to prepare between entertainment and sports events.

The stadium is home to Saudi Professional League team Al Hilal. It will also host several other major sporting events in the coming months, including two heavyweight championship boxing fights. The Kingdom Arena is similar to New Zealand’s Forsyth Barr Stadium, which is also indoors, though the latter is fitted with a transparent roof allowing sunlight to enter. Riyadh’s stadium is therefore the first fully indoor facility to be completed.

David Ball, Managing Director at SIS Saudi said “This project had an incredibly challenging timeline but our team was able to mobilise quickly, delivering a high-quality playing surface fit for what arguably football’s two greatest ever players. We knew the arena was going to be used for other sports and entertainment, so the pitch had to be capable of accommodating short turnarounds between events. SISGrass was a natural choice in this respect, having already proven itself the best option for groundspeople across the world.”

Based in Riadyh’s Boulevard City development, the Kingdom Arena boasts all the facilities expected from a modern stadium, fitted with a state-of-the-art air monitoring system and 20 skyboxes.
