Kubota to showcase ‘one stop shop’ at SALTEX

Kubota to showcase ‘one stop shop’ at SALTEX: SALTEX will once again provide the perfect platform for Kubota UK to showcase a comprehensive range of professional groundcare equipment when the show returns to The NEC on the 12th and 13th November. Visitors to stand E060 can expect to find products from the RTV, compact tractor and mower portfolios, with Kubota’s expanded zero-turn range promising to be one of many highlights.

Combining exceptional manoeuvrability with first class cut quality, Kubota will be bringing not one but THREE zero-turn mowers to SALTEX! Launched last summer, the Z4-541 is a 54” petrol model which boasts outstanding versatility, ease of operation and a large chassis to deliver excellent productivity to the pro-consumer market. From the diesel range, the well-established ZD-1211 provides comfort and fast working with excellent fuel efficiency, meeting all the needs of the commercial operator.

Last but not least, the Kubota ZE-481 delivers the performance and precision required of a professional zero-turn mower, in a sustainable, battery-powered package. With zero emissions at the point of use and significantly reduced noise output, the ZE-481 allows grounds teams to work in noise-sensitive environments such as schools, hospitals and public parks without disruption.

Also taking centre stage in the SALTEX Community Sports Zone will be the Kubota EK1-261 HST. Easy to operate and built with capability in mind, the EK1-261 HST is perfectly suited to grassroots sports facilities – offering Kubota reliability and back-up support in an entry-level set-up that promises unbeatable return on investment.

Complementing these will be a selection of Kubota compact tractors and utility vehicles from the RTV range. Kubota will also be joined on stand by representatives from Terrako – Kubota’s new online ordering software for genuine parts – and Baroness, making E060 a ‘one stop shop’ for high performance power and implements suited to all applications and every grounds maintenance professional.

The Progressive TDR-X roller finishing mower features three independently floating decks which deliver outstanding cut quality over large areas, closely following undulations to leave a superior finish without risk of scalping. A combined cutting width of 3.2m and an easily adjustable HOC from 10mm to 85mm makes the TDR-X a versatile and highly productive choice on all types of fine turf and sports turf surface. Renowned for outstanding build quality, the TDR-X also features Progressive’s unique Pro Lift-N-Turn technology, allowing the decks to be temporarily lifted for the avoidance of pathways and obstacles without disengaging the PTO.

Also on show from the Progressive range with be the Pro-Flex 120. With five floating rotary decks delivering outstanding uniformity of cut, including on uneven ground, the Pro-Flex 120 has become the go-to for courses looking for a highly productive solution to contour and rough mowing.

Besides the Progressive range, and showcasing multi-functional machinery at its very best, will be the Trilo M3. Part of the multi-purpose collection, the M3 with a range of interchangeable shafts is the perfect partner for a number of operations around the golf course – including leaf collection, scarification or cut and collect. Equipped with a flail rotor, the M3 offers a cutting width of 1.5m and convenient collection of clippings in the large 3m3 hopper for quick and simple disposal.

For more information on any of the equipment mentioned, or other brands available from Vanmac including Brouwer Kesmac and Ecoclipper, be sure to speak to the Vanmac team at BTME 2024 who will be on hand and ready to answer your technical questions.

Allett At The Mower Shop

Allett At The Mower Shop: It’s been almost thirty years since Steve Bartle set up The Mower Shop and over twenty years of which the company has been an Allett Mower dealer.

The dealership based in Northamptonshire is the largest of its kind in the Midlands and is just a hop off the M1 Motorway at Watford Gap.  Catering for both the domestic and professional turfcare markets, The Mower Shop has seen the natural progression from selling the old Bosch Suffolk Punch to the superior Allett version for today’s consumer. The bigger Allett machines are sold to customers with large houses and gardens, and private estates. The business has grown vastly over the years, now with ten staff, but prides itself on still providing a personal service.

On the sports side, sales of Allett machines are made for use on bowling greens, cricket and football pitches, complementing the professional services The Mower Shop offers for larger mowers.

Allett At The Mower Shop

“We have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with Allett,” says Steve, “they are nice people to deal with and their interest doesn’t stop with us. They are keen to know where a mower is going, who the customer is and how they can help ensure the customer experience with their mowers is the best. We’re also keen on the development of battery power and at the moment Allett are the only ones producing cylinder mowers that are battery powered, with their Liberty range.”

Powered by Lithium Ion batteries the Allett Liberty mowers offer the convenience of cordless mowing, low noise and a greener alternative for mowing the lawn. There are currently three Allett battery mowers, two of which are self-propelled, with cutting widths of 12”, 14”, and 17”. The Liberty 43 takes ALL the cartridges in the Allett range for additional lawncare tasks, making it the most popular in the battery powered range. A fully charged battery allows for up to 600m2 of lawn to be mowed or up to 40 minutes mowing for just a few pennies per charge.
