Polaris unveils new Sportsman XP 1000: Adding to its legacy of value and quality to customers, Polaris Off Road today unveiled further updates to its 2025 lineup, featuring new upgrades that are now available as standard on RANGER and Sportsman models, as well as a new, special-edition colour option available on the top-of-the-range Sportsman ATV.

In addition to the recently-announced Sportsman 570 lineup for 2025, Polaris now unveils the 2025 refresh for its top-spec sport ATV – the Sportsman XP 1000 S – which now includes the introduction of Turf Mode on tractor-homologated models for easier manoeuvrability, as well as performance improvements to the rear sway bar and drag links to increase durability.

Polaris introduces the all-new Sportsman XP 1000 S LE model in a striking new Lava Orange Metallic colour, featuring advanced Walker Evans Racing Shocks so riders can stay out longer with less fatigue and turf mode (tractor & L7e homologations) for easier manoeuvrability.

The Sportsman XP 1000 S takes off-road capability to new heights with the industry’s only 144cm wide stance that delivers superior stability, as well as exceptional torque thanks to its powerful 952cc ProStar engine, ensuring a confident ride even in the most challenging conditions. Key features include high-clearance dual A-arm suspension with 29cm front and 35.5cm rear travel, 27″ Duro Powergrip II tyres for optimal traction, and a high-strength frame engineered for maximum durability. All XP 1000 S models feature electric power steering (EPS) for less rider fatigue, on-demand all-wheel drive (AWD) for extra traction when it is needed most, as well as an engine braking system (EBS) and active descent control (ADC) for a more confident ride. Riders can also choose between three ride modes – performance (PERF), standard (STND), and work (WORK) – offering customisable throttle response. Performance mode offers a more aggressive feel, accelerating harder with less throttle movement, whilst work mode provides a smoother throttle response than standard mode.

Polaris Off Road expands Sportsman and RZR lineup: Complementing its earlier launches of the full-size RANGER, Sportsman 570 2-up and RZR Pro lineups, Polaris Off Road today also unveiled its 2025 upgrades to the off-road industry’s most expansive lineup, including an impressive range of new colours and quality upgrades introduced across its Sportsman and RZR models.

Highlights include the latest trim added to the Sportsman 570 model range – the new Premium LE model in Matte Copperhead, joined by new colours across the 1-up platform, as well as the new RZR Trail S Ultimate in Sand Dune to give customers an upgrade in style and ride features.

Polaris Sportsman, the long-standing No. 1 selling automatic 4×4 ATV, builds on rider-inspired innovations and includes smooth, strong and versatile features across the 2025 ATV lineup. Along with the 2025 Sportsman 570 2-Up lineup released earlier this year, Polaris upgrades its bestselling Sportsman 570 1-up ATV lineup to match and expands the lineup with an all-new Sportsman 570 EPS Premium LE in Matte Copperhead, the Sportsman 570 EPS in Stealth Grey with new Lime Accents, and new Heavy Metal Gloss colourway with orange accents for the Sportsman 570 SP.
The 2025 Sportsman 570 1-up platform includes new integrated LED work light with built-in battery charging port, quality upgrades including new wheel-well debris shield and new seats with premium Polaris branding. True On-Demand all-wheel drive, in-line shifting, and single-lever braking allow for simple and effective user control, whilst the engine braking system (EBS) on applicable models delivers a smooth and controlled riding experience regardless of the terrain type. Giving riders the confidence to go further and do more, the Sportsman 570 features sealed MacPherson Strut suspension on the front with 20.8cm of travel, alongside Dual A-Arm independent rear suspension with 24.1cm of travel. Power Steering for Polaris Sportsman 570: Polaris UK and Ireland customers can get the Sportsman 570 electric power steering (EPS) model for the same price as a standard Sportsman 570* machine when purchased from a Polaris dealer**.

Running until 31st March 2022, the free upgrade will give customers the benefits of EPS at no extra cost, making it even easier to go further and do more, for the same price.

Electric power steering ensures less muscle power and effort is needed to steer the ATV; perfect for low-speed manoeuvres like reversing up to a trailer, turning around tight corners or parking.

The Sportsman 570 lineup features a sleek, modern design with all-new LED lights and work pod, alongside a host of innovative features like its intuitive true on-demand all-wheel-drive system that kicks in when you need it most. As well as the free upgrade and free security tracker, the Sportsman 570 comes with free Easi training for one operator. Free Easi training, RRP £180, is run by the European All-Terrain Vehicle Safety Institute and consists of a comprehensive training course to maximise the safety of Polaris riders.

Customised Polaris Sportsman for Alba Deer Stalking: Over the years, Highlands Polaris dealer, McLaren Tractors, has made various modifications to Polaris’ range of off-road vehicles to make them more suitable for specialised customer requirements; including a recent Sportsman 6×6 570 EPS build for their customer Alba Deer Stalking.

Alba Deer Stalking has been a long time user of Polaris vehicles due to their off-road capabilities and dependability year-round.

George McLaren, owner of McLaren Tractors said: “In 2015, Robert HcHardy of Alba Deer Stalking came to us looking for a budget side by side ORV, and bought his first Polaris Ranger – a Ranger ETX with a basic semi-cab. He then upgraded in 2017 to the Ranger XP 900 with full cab heater, Polaris multi-mount winch system and shooting lamp on the roof.”

In 2020, Alba Deer Stalking realised it also required a sit-on off-road ATV. The Polaris Sportsman was the obvious solution for Alba Deer Stalking thanks to its reliability, as they knew the machine was going to have to take on treacherous terrain with heavy loads.

“We supplied Alba Deer Stalking with a Polaris Big Boss 570 6×6 as they needed a sit-on machine with additional capacity and for carrying the stalker & a guest. As it was to be working in felled forestry areas, we fitted this machine up with a full aluminium belly, an A-arm skid pan and fabricated a front hitch receiver for mounting a multi-mount winch system.”

The vehicle boasts the powerful ProStar 567cc engine as well as technology like all-wheel drive for more forward traction when it is needed most.

By the end of last year, Alba Deer Stalking has purchased two specialised Sportsman 6×6 570 EPS machines from McLaren Tractors; further-developing the winch system to enable the multi-mount winch to load the rear box.

“This has proved a game changer in allowing one person loading of carcasses. We are now fitting Alba’s 2020 machine with the same capability.”

McLaren Tractors are now developing a similar system for the Polaris Ranger to help future customers with similar needs.
