Avant 755i Loader: A Transformative Tool

Avant 755i Loader: A Transformative Tool: Richard Overton, the steward of a family business established in the 1900s, has praised the transformative power of the Avant 755i Loader in improving their operations.

With a deep-rooted history in agriculture, the Overton family has witnessed the evolution of their business from its humble beginnings, where Richard’s grandfather toiled to expand their landholding, to the present day, marked by a diverse portfolio of activities ranging from potato cultivation to cold storage, a livery yard, landscaping, and more.

Avant 755i Loader: A Transformative Tool

Avant 755i Loader: A Transformative Tool

The turning point in their operations came with the decision to diversify, a strategic move that required a versatile and reliable piece of equipment. Richard, having previously relied on two 3.5-tonne machines, sought something more adaptable to the dynamic needs of the business.

“I always had an eye on the Avant. We tried one out, we liked it, and so we bought one. We required one we could put on a trailer and tow because we needed it at both of our sites, so we went for the 755i model because I believe it’s the biggest you can legally tow. It fits great on our trailer,” shares Richard. The decision to invest in the Avant 755i Loader, part of the 700 series, proved to be a game-changer for the Overton family.

Unleashing the Potential of the Avant 755i Loader: A Year-Round Workhorse

The Avant 755i Loader, renowned for its high lift capacity and drive speed, belongs to the 700 series designed for multi-use tasks across various industries. Richard highlights the machine’s ability to seamlessly transition between cleaning, property maintenance, farm operations and landscaping. Its compact design, coupled with high-flow auxiliary hydraulics, ensures unmatched versatility in handling diverse attachments.

The decision to opt for a cab-equipped model reflects the Overton family’s commitment to year-round productivity. “Because we are going to be busy in the summer and the winter, we thought we needed a cab – so we could be warm in the winter but have air conditioning in the summer. We ended up buying the best machine we could get,” affirms Richard. He opted for the GT cab which comes with heating, sound-absorbing interior, windscreen washer and wiper, cab air filter and front and rear mudguards as standard.

Attachments Galore: The Swiss Army Knife of Machinery

What sets the Avant 755i Loader apart is its compatibility with over 200 attachments, turning it into a true Swiss Army Knife of agricultural and landscaping equipment. Richard proudly details the array of attachments they employ, including the brush, the leveller, the lawn mower, the 4 in 1 bucket, and the root grapple. Each attachment serves a distinct purpose, showcasing the machine’s adaptability.

“The root grapple isn’t just for roots; it is also used for picking up round bales of straw and logs. It has a great feature where the top grapple closes in two bits so if you have an uneven piece of wood, it doesn’t just grab one side of it; it works independently, which is really clever,” notes Richard.

“Just the other day we were able to deliver and unload 16 tonnes worth of slabs round the back of a private property in no time at all. Previously this would have taken 2 or 3 days of hard graft with a wheelbarrow; so, the time saving is incredible. I think the Avant Loader really is a Swiss Army Knife.”

The Avant Advantage: Cost-Effective, Economical, and Reliable

Richard emphasises the cost-effectiveness of the Avant 755i Loader, asserting, “Every machine has its limitations, but I think the Avant Loader does every job more than adequately. It has saved us money because we don’t need 5 or 6 machines – the Avant can do them all.” The manoeuvrability, diesel efficiency, and ability to navigate tight spaces make it an indispensable asset for the Overton family business.

In praising the local Avant dealer, Ben Burgess, Richard underlines the importance of reliable support. “Back-up is crucial when purchasing a new machine, and I get a great service from Ben Burgess.”

A Testament to Innovation and Tradition

The Avant 755i Loader stands as a testament to the innovative approach of a family business that has spanned generations. In choosing the Avant Loader, the Overton family has not only embraced a versatile and efficient tool but has also set the stage for sustained success in the years to come.

The Laser Grader is available in three working widths from 1.5m to 2.4m, each fitted with twin Danfoss proportional valves and a rear 4-wheel frame, with each pair of wheels controlled independently giving the option for single or dual grading. The set-up of the grader means it can accept any make of laser equipment, with Redexim able to supply compatible equipment to accurately grade a surface to a tolerance of plus or minus 2mm. Models are also fitted with ripping tines for the loosening of heavily compacted ground.

ETC Sports Surfaces have been a provider of sports pitch construction, installation and maintenance works for over 30 years and purchased a Laser Grader 1500 just over two years ago. ETC Managing Director Simon Wells explains how it has been fundamental on nearly every project they’ve undertaken. “Getting that final level spot on is arguably the most important part of any job, whether we’re working on a tennis court, hockey pitch or brand-new football install. The precision grade that the Laser Grader gives, provides the perfect base for the next stage of the installation project.”

“For us, it’s about both accuracy and efficiency. A single tennis court could take a whole day to level manually with a digger, a task which can be completed in just an hour with the Laser Grader! On some recent 3G pitch installs we’ve completed, we’re getting the final grading done in less than a day.” Simon concludes, “It really is a brilliant bit of kit, so simple to use and one of the best labour-saving machines we’ve ever purchased.”

Campey’s new AllTrec Tool Carrier

Campey’s new AllTrec Tool Carrier: Campey Turf Care Systems has launched the 100% electric AllTrec Tool Carrier to the UK market, with zero CO2-emissions during operation and low noise output.

Being environmentally responsible is an important cause of many companies and councils. Using the AllTrec allows essential maintenance to be completed with zero emissions, helping to improve green spaces without damaging the wider environment.

Campey's new AllTrec Tool Carrier

The machine has been designed by Dutch manufacturer, WeedControl B.V., to be the perfect solution for zero-emissions mowing. With its sharp turning capabilities, it is agile enough to work in small enclosed spaces while also having been designed to work on large areas with a long-lasting battery to match its versatility. The running time is entirely dependent on the circumstances, but when cutting with the four-blade 180cm deck, the battery will typically last for 6-8 hours and 7-9 hours using the three-blade 130cm deck. Both decks feature rear ejection and allow height of cut adjustments from 30mm-110mm.

It can also be used with a number of other attachments including the weed controller, weed brush, and hedge cutter.

The electrically driven hedge cutter can be fully operated using a joystick, making it easy to operate for a day of work, while the LPG tanks used for the E-Variator Weed Burner can be mounted to the back of the AllTrec, with a connection for the automatic tank heater to prevent them from freezing. Weeds can also be tackled using the Weedbrush, which can be hydraulically adjusted to any angle, and used for a full day without any worry of batteries running out.

Campey's new AllTrec Tool Carrier

A large-action radius and highly efficient attachments combined with low operation and maintenance costs makes the AllTrec perfect for use in urban environments, sports complexes, holiday resorts and parks by contractors, local authorities and landscapers.

All batteries come with a three-year warranty and have a lifetime of + – 2500 charge discharge cycles. The 48VDC battery uses LifePO4 technology with a capacity of 20kwh or an optional 30kwh, with onboard charging taking 4-8 hours.

This has been taken a step further with the Air2hp. The hand probe is ideal for sand bunkers, small spaces and hard to reach places and can quickly treat areas of standing water using the hand-operated valve to inject air below the surface in a diameter of up to 3ft (0.9m).

Renovations will also play a part on stand C050 with the 1.6m Koro FIELDTOPMAKER. Since the introduction of the machine to market, fraise mowing has become a standard practice, and as the technology has become more refined, it has been used on new sports surfaces, with cricket the latest to adopt the practice. The accuracy on multiple surfaces comes from using the UniverseÒ rotor with 3mm and 5mm blades. With the 3mm blades on four spirals, you can remove 30% of the surface with 3mm removed and 7mm remaining. There is also the option of removing 15% using two spirals with 3mm removed and 17mm remaining. Having these options available means each job can be tailored to what the surface requires.

Campey To Launch AllTrec Tool Carrier

A machine that is equally variable is the Dakota 310. This compact and very manoeuvrable dual spinner topdresser can spread up to 6m wide, with the width and amount of topdressing infinitely variable using the individual hand controls on the handlebar.
