The new KIOTI K9 2410 UTV

The new KIOTI K9 2410 UTV: KIOTI have launched the K9 2410 utility vehicle (UTV), keeping up their philosophy of continual product development. Based on the popular K9 2400, the 2410 increases operator comfort and safety. An upgraded CVT transmission produces a homologated 50 kph road speed. Whilst speed proportional electric power-steering (EPS) and an engine-brake improve handling and performance.

Customers can customise the 2410 by selecting the cabin option and colour to suit their needs. The 2410 is available with either a climate controlled factory fit cabin, a ROPS frame with door, windscreen and canopy options, or a retro fit field cabin. As standard the K9 is available in KIOTI red, with the option of green for customers requiring a more subtle colour.

A rubber floor mat, seat headrests and electric assisted bed tipping complete the upgrade, improving driver and passenger comfort.

The generously sized rear load area, ability to carry three people, 4WD and high ground clearance make the K9 2410 well suited to multiple jobs around estates, golf course and sports facilities.  With a 500kg capacity, the urethane lined tipping bed can carry anything from tools, to supplies and materials.

Whether opting for ROPS or cabin, the K9 2410 is equipped with a drivers seat and two passenger seats, safely carrying maintenance and keepers as they go about their work.

Off-road terrain is no problem for the K9 2410, independent wishbone suspension provides outstanding ground clearance and ride comfort. Selectable 4WD and a choice off-road tyres, general purpose or turf tyres ensure the power from the 25hp KIOTI diesel engine is transferred to the ground, without damaging delicate turf.

The  K9 2410 UTV is available from early 2024 with prices starting from £20,800 rrp. For more information visit www.kioti-uk.com or contact KIOTI UK on 01480 401512, or email sales@kioti-uk.com

Corvus – The New UTV On The Block

Corvus – The New UTV On The Block: Corvus is a new name in 4×4 off-road utility vehicles and one to look out for when its UTV’s arrive on our shores. Europe’s first manufacturer of 4×4 Side by Side vehicles has the strongest pedigree and states an aim to offer technologically superior and highly capable, pioneering vehicles.

A new British company, BOSS ORV, has been formed to introduce, distribute and support the Corvus brand in the UK. BOSS will officially launch three models at the outset: TerrainDX4 EPS, TerrainDX4 PRO EPS and TerrainDX4 CAB EPS.

Corvus – The New UTV On The Block

“When you first look at the Terrain you can see immediately it’s a well-designed and tough, professional UTV.” Says Phil Everett, BOSS ORV’s Managing Director. “Look deeper and it stands out for environmental and technological advancement, a powerhouse engine and a great payload capacity. We’re proud to be able to offer the Corvus range in the UK.” All the above mentioned Terrain models are homologated to T1b tractor regulation and have a top speed of 40mph/65kp/h.

The Corvus main construction facility is in Murcia, Spain with an area of 25,000m² dedicated to manufacturing and assembling, using their own parts and components: gear box, transmission, chassis and technology systems. The company is part of the Tuxton/Yanmar group so it’s a natural fit to marry up the normally aspirated, inline 3-cylinder 993cc Yanmar Diesel engine which gives excellent fuel efficiency and range. The engine is Euro 6 compliant which puts it right at the forefront of the market, leading the Corvus programme of designing systems for reducing emission levels. All the above mentioned Terrain models are homologated to T1b tractor regulation.

Corvus is building the Terrain for work primarily in agriculture, livestock, forestry, turf care and construction but they are highly adaptable vehicles ready for any demanding off-road workout. Boss ORV will launch the Terrain UTV’s in early September but there will be an opportunity for a preview on the Ace ATV stand at the Royal Three Counties Show on 14th -16th June and the ATV Services (Scotland) stand at the Royal Highland Show on 20th – 23rd June.

“In the meantime,” says Phil “we will be building a small, specialised dealer network throughout the UK to offer customers the highest level of service and support.”

Toro UTV Fleet Increased

Toro UTV Fleet Increased: John O’Gaunt Golf Club in Sandy, Bedfordshire, has recently purchased two Toro Workman utility vehicles, which has increased the club’s UTV fleet to seven. These hard-working vehicles have racked up in excess of 16,000 hours of work between them demonstrating outstanding value and longevity.

Nigel Broadwith, course manager, runs machines that are up to 18 years old with no problems. “I think we are proving at John O’Gaunt that you can get more out of your Toro machines than perhaps you think you can and that you don’t have to always buy new to get results,” he says.

Toro UTV Fleet Increased

“Our oldest Workman is the 3300D from 1999, that machine has done an impressive 4132 hours of work over 18 years. Of our more recent machines we have a HDX-D from 2015 which has put in an equally impressive 1652 hours in two years.”

Most of the UTVs Nigel purchases are second-hand, with the latest two purchased as they came out of a five-year lease deal, which means they represent great value for the club. In fact, purchasing the machines this way meant Nigel could buy two second-hand Workman utility vehicles for the price of one new one.

“Even new the Workman UTVs present good value, but purchasing our utility vehicles this way is cost-effective and means we can put the rest of the budget into our turfcare machinery, plus fuel consumption is excellent. A Workman is a workhorse and puts in the hours. We use ours for diveting tees, topping up bunkers with sand, turf and tree work and transportation; we even have one whose body we have removed and replaced with a topdresser for that sole use.”

But that’s not all. The club’s Workman vehicles are nothing if not versatile, stepping in when needed with all sorts of jobs as Nigel explains: “The machines comfortably seat two men and in the rare times when we have issues with player’s golf trollies we’ve been more than happy to pick up members and transport them around the course in the Workmans. They are quick, quiet and still look good.

“I think it’s important to consider all the options available when it comes to creating your fleet. Toro proves itself to be capable of lasting and still being up for the job, even when the machines are up to 18 years old. That’s why I think Toro make the best utility vehicles in the industry.”
