CEuk Celebrate 10 Years In Business

CEuk Celebrate 10 Years In Business: 10 years ago, CEuk’s small team of three friends attended APF with nothing more than a folding table, gazebo and a selection of pruning handsaws, fast forward to 2019 and the brand is now recognised as one of the main specialists in outdoor professional products.

CE stands for Cutting Edge and the product range stays true to its name, the British company continues to evolve whilst providing bladed products for arborists, forestry, landscaping, gardening, agriculture, survivalist, metal detecting and many more industries. It offers genuine value for money tools alongside a service that goes the extra mile to give great customer satisfaction.

CEuk Celebrate 10 Years In Business

From the beginning the team has listened to feedback, acted upon it by making improvements and responding with new products that offer more benefits and at a reasonable price – the business has evolved with this at its core.

Founder Chris Gottfried said: “We are passionate about our products and the industries they serve; our customers are at the heart of our business and by attending various industry shows throughout the year we have an opportunity to get first-hand feedback and input from them. It is this feedback that has helped us to develop a product range that suits numerous industries perfectly and has allowed us to build valuable and lasting relationships with our customers.

“Looking forward a further 10 years, we want to be the best at what we do and continue to work as hard as we can to provide excellent products that meet the changing needs of our customers.”

CEuk products have been distributed by EP Barrus since April 2018 and Phil Noble, sales and technical manager at EP Barrus said: “Our partnership with CEuk has been a great success, the products have a wide-ranging appeal and the Barrus dealer network is the perfect cross-over between the professional and consumer customers that the products are aimed at. I am looking forward to seeing how the company continues to grow and the new products that are introduced in the future.”

The product range:

Stallion Telescopic Handsaw – makes easy work of cutting hard to reach branches

Nokota Saw and Lopper Pruner – probably the smallest and lightest polesaw on the market

Trojan Hand Saw – engineered for the professional, available in five lengths

Noble folding Saw – a multi purpose folding saw that keeps the blade covered until needed

Root Assassin – a 2-in-1 saw and shovel for cutting roots easily and quickly whilst digging

Case IH Rebrand Tractor Range

Case IH Rebrand Tractor Range: Case IH has decided to rebrand its award-winning 100-130hp tractors with CVXDrive transmission. The new name is Case IH Vestrum CVXDrive.

“We chose the name Vestrum because it means ‘yours’ in Latin,” says Peter Friis, Case IH Marketing Director Europe. “This tractor is dedicated to our customers who need a powerful and comfortable tractor to accomplish more throughout the varied tasks in their day.”

The rebrand will not affect any other features of the 100-130hp models, which all have the Case IH CVXDrive continuously-variable transmission as standard. The new range was launched at February’s SIMA in Paris, where it won the Machine of the Year 2019 award in the mid-class tractor category.

“We would like to reassure our customers that no other aspect of the tractor will change – all specifications remain the same as at the launch – and deliveries within 2019 will not be affected” said Thierry Panadero, Vice-President Case IH Europe “we will continue our launch activities and look forward to meeting our customers in the field and at shows in the coming months and present these fantastic tractors.”

Vandals Tear Up Golf Green

Vandals Tear Up Golf Green: A group of “mindless” joy riders ripped up a north-east golf course at the weekend, leaving one green badly damaged.

Grounds staff at Oldmeldrum Golf Club arrived on Sunday morning to prepare for the day’s action only to discover tyre marks across the 17th green.

Vandals Tear Up Golf Green

Sections of turf had been ripped out by the perpetrators who caused significant damage that may take some time to repair.

It is the second time a car has been driven onto the course, which can be accessed from an adjacent road, but the first time someone has taken it onto the greens.

Now the club officials have to assess whether they can replace the turf, or whether they have to leave it to grow out.

Hamish Dingwall, club coordinator, said: “It obviously has had an impact in the short-term because we have had to re-position the hole.

“But it’s more the long-term effect it’s going to have on the surface because of the damage to the turf.

“We will have to assess what we do in the long-term. It may be that we have to just leave it to re-grow.

“There’s been a very good response on social media since we posted about the incident.

“It is very frustrating for us and not something anyone wants to see at their club. It’s just mindless vandalism.”
