ICL Appoint Barry Browne: ICL Turf & Landscape is pleased to announce the appointment of a new Landscape & Industrial National Sales Manager.

Barry Browne has worked in the industry for a number of years and brings with him a wealth of experience. Prior to joining ICL he spent 14 years working for Green-tech starting as a product specifier, from where he went on to hold the position of Team Manager.

Rigby Taylor Appoint Peter Robin: Rigby Taylor has expanded its product management team of industry product specialists with the appointment of Peter Robin as UK Irrigation Product Manager.

Peter will spearhead the company’s expansion into the irrigation market as the UK distributor of Rain Bird’s golf, sports pitch and landscape products.

Peter, a New Zealander by birth, has a Bachelor of Horticultural Science degree and over 20 years’ experience across a wide range of irrigation market sectors and installations, 10 years of which have been spent in the UK.

Wildflower Appoint Phil Singleton: The UK’s leading bio-diverse turf supplier has recently expanded their sales team.

Wildflower Turf Ltd have appointed Phil Singleton to assist them to further service their growing customer base in the north of England.

Phil has a strong background in the horticultural and landscape industries, having formally worked for Icopal Limited (part of the BMI Group) and Greenscape UK (now trading as Fytogreen).

As former Deputy Chairman for GRO (Green Roof Organisation), Phil will use his skills to great advantage from the outset, with Wildflower Turf Ltd currently working on several large wildflower roof projects.

Phil’s appointment follows Wildflower Turf Ltd’s ambitious expansion in 2017, with a production site situated in Helperby, Yorkshire now complementing the company’s Hampshire production facility.

STRI Group Appoint Gwynn Davies: STRI Group is delighted to announce that Gwynn Davies has been appointed as a turfgrass consultant, to support extensive business growth and service development in the UK and overseas markets.

Gwynn is a well-known figure in the sports turf industry and has accumulated a wealth of specialist experience during his 15-year career. Initially gaining a First-Class Honours degree in Turfgrass Science and receiving an R&A Scholarship. Since then, Gwynn has held several senior positions in golf course management and consultancy, including a stint in turfgrass agronomy at STRI.

The Macclesfield based company already has an impressive network of dealers across the globe and the addition of C4 Turf Care and World Sports further strengthens their presence in that area of the world while giving customers in the region direct access to a range of Campey products.

C4 Turf Care, operated by Dan Manning, who has 20 years experience in the sustainable turf management industry, will cover Chile, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Columbia and have already taken delivery of a Koro FIELD TOPMAKER 1.6 with Universe Rotor and a ShockWave 155 for the Argentinian market.

World Sports has 22 years’ experience in the Brazilian market offering the best solutions available in design, construction maintenance and field restoration. The company aims to offer the best technology in Brazil and has recently seen the machines in use during a visit to England with Campey.

The visit included trips to Tottenham Hotspur’s Enfield Training Centre, Arsenal FC’s London Colney Training Ground, Twickenham, and a tour of Liverpool FC, with Richard Campey and Lee Morgado as hosts. Campey Product Specialist, Ben Taylor will be the point of contact for South America working with both companies – who will be distributing Koro, Imants and Raycam products – to ensure South American customers receive the outstanding service Campey customers have come to expect all over the world.
