Celebrating 40 Years of Polaris ATVs

Celebrating 40 Years of Polaris ATVs: Polaris Off Road, the world leader in powersports and off-road innovation, is celebrating a historic milestone: 40 years since the introduction of the first American-engineered ATV. Since 1985, Polaris has led the way in shaping the ATV industry, delivering purpose-built innovation, legendary performance, and a spirit of adventure that continues to define the category today.

To mark this anniversary, Polaris has unveiled the Sportsman XP 1000 S 40th Anniversary Edition, a limited release that blends nostalgia and modern design with a package of premium features. With a colourway and graphics package inspired by the iconic 1996 Sportsman 500 – one of the bestselling ATVs of its era – the 40th Anniversary Edition carries the legacy forward with exclusive retro-inspired graphics, commemorative badging, and premium Super Graphite paint.

40 Years Strong Campaign

Polaris is proud to celebrate four decades of innovation, performance and trust with the launch of its new video campaign, “40 Years Strong”.

Polaris has been at the heart of riders’ lives around the world since introducing its first ATV in 1985. The campaign pays tribute to the countless ways customers have relied on Polaris ATVs over the years, from early starts alongside farmers and long days hauling hay for smallholders, to adventurous trail rides through mud and dust, and the excitement of seeing checkered flags in the racing community.

Whether for work, play, or competition, Polaris has proudly stood by its ATV riders for 40 years, and “40 Years Strong” shines a light on the people who have made Polaris part of their journey.

The first episode, titled “40 Years of Early Starts,” pays homage to the farming community that wakes up before dawn each day and relies on Polaris ATVs as a trusted partner in their work. The series will be featured across Polaris Off Road’s social media channels in Europe, as well as on the Polaris Off Road International YouTube channel, with the first episode live today.

The 2026 Sportsman XP 1000 S 40th Anniversary Edition will be available in dealers across Europe this winter.

Ace ATV and ATVS Only merge

Ace ATV and ATVS Only merge: Ace ATV has merged with ATVS Only, the UK’s leading ATV and quad after-market parts suppliers. Based in Newton Purcell, Buckingham, ATVS Only distributes nationally and internationally and is the only dedicated importer and distributor specialising in parts and accessories for the Sports ATV industry, including side-by-side UTVs and sports quad performance requirements.

With completion of this merger, the company will become a division of Ace ATV, the specialist ATV supplier based in the West Midlands, with over 100 years of combined experience in the agricultural machinery trade. Ace Managing Director Murray Boss, himself an agricultural engineer, was the founder of Ace ATV before he moved on to start ATVS Only (previously R&P ATV) with Peter Rumsey in 2005. Following the merger on the 31st of March 2025, the ATVS Only business will continue as usual, he says, with the same staff, premises and contact details.

Reputation

“ATVS Only has built a reputation over 35 years as the leading after-market parts supplier,” says Murray, “and the people and staff are totally committed to the ATV industry, with experience dating back to the late 1980s when Pete started supplying Race quad accessories. What we will do is expand the business from its solid base with the introduction of more utility products and manufacturers’ OE parts for ATVs and UTVs to create a one-stop parts depot.” Originally trade only, ATVS Only expanded into retail while maintaining supplies to dealers with a separate portal for ordering trade parts.

“We have been in talks with many of the world’s leading manufacturers.” Murray says. “Ace ATV are already official dealers for Yamaha, Kawasaki, Kymco, Corvus, CanAm and Logic, with 18 years Polaris experience, and a vast stock of spare parts for repairs and servicing. Bringing the two sides together, the expansion will harmonise the stock with far more items, including OE parts, held in the UK for fast and efficient delivery, usually arriving within one to two working days.”

The new Can-Am Outlander BASE PRO HD5 T is a work-ready vehicle that provides the user with consistent performance with the help of its class-leading power from the all-new Rotax engine, ground clearance, suspension travel, towing and rack capacity.

The new Can-Am Outlander PRO XU HD7 ABS puts out 50 horsepower and 41 ft-lb of torque, so travelling up the side of hills or towing and carrying cargo on the flat is now easier and more efficient.

To complement the ATVs on display will be Can-Am’s SSV line-up, which includes the Can-Am Traxter HD7 and the Can-Am Traxter 6×6 DPS HD10.

The Can-Am Traxter HD7 provide users with consistent performance and has the ability to stay out in the field for longer with the help of its  40-litre fuel tank.

The Can-Am Traxter 6×6 DPS HD10 is a workhorse SSV that handles everything from hauling machinery to transporting workers and equipment to job sites while providing owners with the comfort, power and performance that is expected from a Can-Am Traxter.

In addition to showcasing its ATVs and SSVs, Can-Am will be hosting a responsible rider panel with the NFU, Yellow Wellies, NAAC and HSE at 11am on stand 6.850. The discussion will cover several topics ranging from training to educating users, no matter their age, on the importance of wearing the correct PPE when riding and what best practices can be implemented before, during and after an ATV has been used.

Rachael Turner, BRP commercial manager UK and Ireland, says, “This show is one that our team circles in the calendar because it brings together a wide-ranging audience under one roof, from students studying at college to smallholders, to large landowners. We are excited for the UK show debut of our new ATVs, the Can-Am Outlander 500 and Can-Am Outlander 700. These two models are the latest evolution of the Outlander line-up and have been designed from the ground up with the user in mind.  Our team is looking forward to showcasing the models on display and explaining how their versatility makes them suitable for the job at hand. In addition, we are excited to be part of the panel with the NFU, Yellow Wellies, NAAC and HSE as it is a great platform from which to discuss the importance of responsible riding, ATV training and best practices when using an ATV with an engaged audience.”
