Royal Golf Club Bahrain receives Club Car fleet

Royal Golf Club Bahrain receives Club Car fleet: Club Car®, global industry-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, has delivered a new fleet of golf vehicles to the prestigious Royal Golf Club in Bahrain.

The world-class venue hosted the Bahrain Championship on the DP World Tour in February and welcomes 42,000 rounds a year on its two courses – the magnificent Colin Montgomerie-designed 18-hole championship layout and a 9-hole par-3 course.

Royal Golf Club chose the market-leading Club Car Tempo golf car in Metallic Blue Onyx complete with premium features including Visage (GPS technology), alloy wheels and comfort seats.

The vehicles were delivered through Luxury Carts, the Club Car distributor in the Middle East, and also have coolers, sand bottles and inbuilt USB ports.

Royal Golf Club General Manager, Juan Manuel Fuentes, said: “Our players use golf cars here because of the high temperatures and course design. That is why we commit to offer our members and guests an exceptional experience during their rounds with us.”

“Club Car has given us just that – the 80 new cars are fantastic.”

The new cars were used to transport VIP guests during the Bahrain Championship earlier this year – the DP World Tour’s first return to the Kingdom since 2011 – held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

“Club Car is an easy choice because the product is superior and the level of service is excellent,” Fuentes added. “The cars were delivered quickly – there was not a long wait after ordering.”

Nicolas Le Glas, Club Car Regional Manager Middle East and Africa, said: “Royal Golf Club Bahrain offers its guests world class service, and we’re proud to play a part in that with these new vehicles.”

“I’d like to express my gratitude to the board of Royal Golf Club Bahrain, Juan Manuel and Troon for continuing the longstanding relationship with Club Car.”

Club Car Tempo has many customisable options including colour, seats, storage, wheels and three programmable drive modes to maximise performance.

Club Car opens new factory

Club Car opens new factory: Club Car®, global industry-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, has opened a new 3,300sqm factory in Poland to meet increasing demand for its electric vehicles.

The state-of-the-art Club Car Manufacturing Facility located in Mielec, Poland triples European production lines and increases capacity for Club Car to supply a growing and diverse customer base.

Marco Natale, Vice President EMEA for Club Car, said: “The addition of this new factory in Poland strengthens our ability to respond to increasing global demand for compact utility and low-speed consumer vehicles.

“With this investment, Club Car will better serve customers in the European utility market, where many industry and manufacturing, leisure and tourism, and municipal organisations are modernising and electrifying their fleets.”

Club Car now operates two major factories in Poland, having acquired the Melex manufacturing plant – virtually next door – with the 2022 purchase of Garia, a Danish producer of low-speed vehicles which had bought Polish utility company Melex the year before.

“This increase in production capabilities is great news for our dealers and customers in Europe, who will have access to a wider range of zero-emission on- and off-road vehicles at a variety of price points,” Natale added.

Club Car offers versatile utility vehicles that are efficient, safe and eco-friendly transport solutions with elegant design, ergonomic flow and high-quality European components.

They offer low operational cost and can be customised to suit many different operational needs.

Aphrodite Hills upgrades Club Car fleet

Aphrodite Hills upgrades Club Car fleet: Aphrodite Hills Resort has received 72 new Club Car golf vehicles, replacing a fleet that has clocked up around 1.8 million kilometres since 2010.

The 5-star Cyprus venue estimates a ten-fold return on investment for the Club Car Precedents bought 14 years ago, with each of the 72 cars having between 25,000 – 30,000km on the clock.

Andrew Darker, Aphrodite Hills’ Director of Golf, explained: “Lots of venues lease their buggies but we decided to purchase ours all those years ago and it has proved a very shrewd move.

“The cars have delivered exceptional longevity. We are buggy-mandatory here as it’s a very hilly course on tough terrain. We’ve always had our own mechanic on site who does all the servicing and preventative maintenance, and it has been an excellent investment.”

Aphrodite Hills Resort is a PGA Partner venue and the first and only golf, leisure and real estate development in Cyprus. It is built on two plateaux, separated by a dramatic ravine with stunning views over the Mediterranean.

A staggering 130-metre gorge separates the signature seventh hole, meaning the golf cars have to navigate an exceptionally steep descent before climbing back up the other side to the green.

After driving the equivalent of 45 times around the globe, the old fleet has been replaced by Club Car’s state-of-the-art Lithium-Ion Tempo model complete with Visage GPS technology.

“The new fleet is enhancing the experience for our golfers,” continued Darker. “As a big resort the geo-fencing function is a great asset to have, and the lithium batteries are making a huge difference with shorter charging time, lasting longer and being more powerful, which is a big plus on our terrain.

“It was a no-brainer to buy rather than lease the new vehicles again and to stick with Club Car because we know how reliable and durable they are.”

Tony Swinnerton, Club Car’s EMEA Sales Director, said: “To have a fleet drive 1.8 million cumulative kilometres is phenomenal and just demonstrates the quality of our vehicles.”

Club Car’s highly-acclaimed Tempo model comes with 3.3hp motor and 375 Amp controller as standard to deliver outstanding hill-climbing power and acceleration. It also has many customisable options including colour, seats, storage, wheels and three programmable drive modes to maximise performance.

The Lithium-Ion-powered model is more efficient than standard batteries, with shorter charging time, longer lifespan and zero maintenance. It is also lighter, resulting in less impact on turf.
