Club Car becomes Official Supplier of the CMAE: Club Car®, a global industry-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, has become an Official Supplier of the Club Management Association of Europe (CMAE).

The new agreement with the CMAE means that support now extends to the education of club managers through the Management Development Programme (MDP). Within the CMAE’s structured education programme are two levels of certification: the Club Management Diploma (CMDip) and the Certified Club Manager (CCM).

Andrew Bourke, Club Car’s Regional Sales Manager for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, said: “We are very excited to support this area of the industry and help the development of club managers throughout Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

“There’s a real opportunity to educate on fleet usage, particularly how to use connectivity – from an operational point of view and to increase revenue. A golf or utility fleet is always an investment, so our expertise on how clubs can get the best return from that investment will be invaluable to the CMAE’s members.”

CMAE’s Commercial Director Craig Cotterill said: “We are delighted to welcome Club Car as an Official Supplier. Their reputation for quality, innovation and industry leadership aligns perfectly with our mission to support and elevate club managers across our regions.

“The insights and expertise Club Car bring – particularly around fleet management and operational efficiency – will add significant value to our members and ultimately help deliver better experiences for their clubs and communities.”

Bevan du Plessis, Golf Manager at Arabella Hotel Golf & Spa, said: “We have many international guests, the majority of whom use a cart, and it’s essential we offer a product in keeping with the high standards of the resort. The new fleet has really elevated the golf experience. The carts not only look great but offer a smooth and enjoyable ride.

“The service and support from Club Car and AFGRI has also been exceptional,” du Plessis added. “This is our third fleet of Club Car vehicles, and they continue to exceed our expectations for quality and performance.”

Nicolas Le Glas, Club Car Regional Manager Middle East and Africa, said: “Arabella Hotel Golf & Spa offers its guests a world-class experience, and we’re proud to play a part in that with these new vehicles.”

New Club Car fleet for Ryder Cup venue Camiral

New Club Car fleet for Ryder Cup venue Camiral: Camiral, host venue of the 2031 Ryder Cup, has elevated its golf experience with a new fleet from Club Car, the global industry-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles.

In a new video, Director of Golf Flavio Papa explains the impact the new lithium-powered cars have had – both for golfers and his team’s operational efficiency.

Papa said: “As Spain’s No.1 Golf Resort and recently appointed host of the 2031 Ryder Cup, Camiral carries high expectations every time a golfer books a round. We always strive to give our members and guests the best possible experience, which is why we chose Club Car for our new fleet.

“The Visage technology is fantastic because not only are we able to monitor and control the cars, the screens give golfers detailed hole-by-hole information about the course, including yardages. It has really helped us speed up the pace of play.”

With a major sustainability project currently under way at the 36-hole European Tour Destinations venue just outside Girona, it was important the whole fleet was electric.

“The lithium batteries are much longer lasting than traditional batteries – the buggies can go out twice a day on one charge, and even a third time with just a 10-minute charging top-up, without any ill effects on the battery,” added Papa.

Marco Natale, Club Car Vice President EMEA, said: “We’re proud to see our vehicles having such a positive impact at Camiral, a Quinta do Lago Resort, which offers world-class golf experiences to its customers.

“Club Car continues to set the standard in golf mobility, which is why so many leading resorts and clubs around the world remain our valued partners.”

Woodhall Spa chooses Club Car for first golf fleet

Woodhall Spa chooses Club Car for first golf fleet: The National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa has chosen Club Car, the global industry-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, to supply its first fleet of golf cars.

The Lincolnshire venue has until now not permitted buggies on its two championship courses, the Bracken and the recently-renovated Hotchkin, ranked the 58th best course in the world*, but has introduced 12 Club Car Tempos with lithium-ion batteries and Connected technology.

Brad Gould, Managing Director at Woodhall Spa, said: “The new carts are an exciting addition and part of several other forward-thinking developments here.

“Previously we only allowed mobility scooters on the courses, but the new fleet has lithium-ion batteries, meaning the buggies are much lighter, resulting in minimal wear and tear on the turf. They also have Visage (Club Car’s Connected technology), which gives us full control over where they can and can’t go.”

Woodhall Spa’s Hotchkin course is on a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is carefully managed to restore and preserve the biodiversity and natural features.

Gould added: “As a GEO Certified organisation, sustainability is hugely important to us, so it was imperative that the new fleet aligned with that. Not only are the carts zero-emissions, they are incredibly energy-efficient.”

Andy Bourke, Club Car’s Regional Sales Manager UK, Ireland & Scandinavia, said: “It speaks volumes that Woodhall Spa chose Club Car for its first golf fleet. We’re proud to help such a prestigious venue.”

The National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa has one of the most comprehensive academy and performance centres in Europe, including a covered 16-bay range with Toptracer technology, a swing analysis room and a strength and conditioning unit.

Club Car supplies many of the world’s leading golf destinations with its wide range of vehicles, and is the official supplier of the DP World Tour, the Professional Golfers’ Association (PGA) and St Andrews Links Trust.

Club Car’s acclaimed Tempo golf cart is fully customisable with a number of options including paint colour, seats, wheels and extra features such as USB ports, club cleaners and Bluetooth speakers.

St Andrews Links continues to choose Club Car

St Andrews Links continues to choose Club Car: Club Car®, global industry-leading manufacturer of small-wheel, zero-emissions electric vehicles, has extended its long-term relationship with the world’s most iconic golf venue after delivering a new fleet to St Andrews Links.

The prestigious Scottish venue, where golf has been played for more than 600 years, has received 32 new golf and utility vehicles to complement the 52-strong fleet for the operation of its seven public courses, the most famous of which is the Old Course, a 30-time host venue of The Open.

John Grant, Director of Golf at St Andrews Links Trust, said: “We pride ourselves on working with the very best, and since Club Car became an official supplier in 2016 they have provided the highest quality of vehicles and service support.

“The cars are a crucial part of our operation, allowing our teams to do their jobs efficiently and giving golfers an enjoyable and memorable experience.”

Club Car’s innovative capabilities provide a range of benefits to the St Andrews Links team. While the award-winning golf vehicles transport golfers safely and comfortably around the links, the versatile utility vehicles are used by the course ranger team as well as media staff, who regularly ferry VIPs and equipment around the site.

A combination of 6- and 8-seater transporter models are also vital for transporting golfers between the Links Clubhouse and the first tee of the Old Course.

The cars are fitted with Club Car’s Connected technology, which enables the teams to monitor the condition of the fleet, maintain course boundaries and communicate directly with the vehicles.

In addition, the Visage GPS system provides many enhancements to the golfer experience including exact yardages and action zones which enable the safe negotiation of many of the features on these links courses.

Andy Bourke, Club Car Regional Manager for UK, Ireland and Scandinavia, said: “We have developed a strong relationship with St Andrews Links over the last eight years and it has been a pleasure to provide a first-class service.

“It is the largest public golf complex in Europe, and we are proud that our unmatched products and technology help the team deliver a unique and memorable experience to thousands of golfers each year.”

Established in 1974, St Andrews Links Trust oversees the management and maintenance of the Links courses at St Andrews – the Old Course, New Course, Jubilee Course, Eden Course, Strathtyrum Course, Balgove Course and The Castle Course – with more than 250,000 rounds played over them every year.
