New Etesia dealer in Scottish Borders

New Etesia dealer in Scottish Borders: Etesia UK is delighted to welcome Border Chainsaw and Lawnmower Services to its ever-expanding dealer network.

Border Chainsaw and Lawnmower Services, based in Earlston, Scotland, was founded in 1974 by the Cowe family. The business stayed within the family until January 2019 when it was acquired by Pearsons of Duns Ltd, who were picked as the perfect suitors for the business.

It was at this point that the experienced Allen Whellans was appointed as Groundcare Division Manager in a bid to increase the company’s commercial offering. Allen knew immediately where to start.

“In a previous role, I worked with dealers and end-users who had a large fleet of Etesia pedestrian mowers. They always commented on how good they were.” he said. “They never used to have any problems with them – it is that knowledge of knowing what the mowers are capable of doing that confirmed that I wanted to work with Etesia.”

Etesia UK is renowned for providing its dealer network with unrivalled support and resources – and Allen revealed that it was this reputation which further appealed to him.

“We only deal with premium brands and it was a case of looking at what Etesia offered in terms of the products but also how they work with the dealer,” he said. “Etesia is very much focused on working with dealers as opposed to online discounting. Customers want support and back-up; they want to be able to speak to someone and they want to demo the mowers.

Border Chainsaw and Lawnmower Services and Etesia have the same ethos – we want to work together for the customer – and that is the sort of partnership we are looking for.”

With immediate effect, the range of Etesia pedestrian mowers will be available from Border Chainsaw and Lawnmower Services throughout the Lothians and the Scottish Borders.

Etesia pedestrian mowers have been providing absolute efficiency, excellent ergonomics and top-quality standards. The pedestrian mowers are designed to offer unique cutting capabilities, comfort and safety at work and unrivalled reliability and productivity.

Etesia’s reputation for excellence in mowing performance has been supported by each of the 12 product families, and the qualities of ruggedness, reliability, user-friendliness, and innovation have become synonymous with Etesia.

“I particularly like the fact that they can cut and collect long wet grass,” continued Allen. “The Borders are lush areas and there is always lots of thick wet grass. The fact that that operators can get out and cut in all conditions, even in the rain, is going to be fantastic for our customers.

“These Etesia mowers just go that extra mile and therefore I am confident that they are going to significantly grow our attraction to commercial customers.”

Etesia announce new Donky

Etesia announce new customised Donky: Etesia UK has announced the launch of the new Donky electric wheelbarrow.

The environmentally friendly Donky electric wheel barrow has quickly become a popular choice for those responsible for landscape management with many green space managers praising the machine for making site work a lot easier – no more relying on the strength of your arms alone for moving heavy loads. No more noise, polluting fumes and no need to buy fuel.

Etesia announce new customised Donky

The new Donky will offer its operators even more versatility with the ability to customise the electric wheelbarrow. The classic plastic tub can now be removed and replaced with whatever is required for the task ahead. Users may choose to attach a wooden board for transport or assembly of work equipment, or alternatively they may opt for the all new tin tub which will ensure that it is even more robust.

The Donky is not just comfortable, environmentally friendly and silent, it is also a true tool carrier; with its exclusive MRM tray and accessories, it will help you in a large variety of jobs throughout the year from cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, transportation of liquids and work platforms. It allows the transport of bulky products (boards, cross member, closing fabric and reel), and provides a working surface at a suitable height. The Donky also features a tray emptying function which is achieved by a central lever, with unlocking and assistance.

With a powerful 1700 W engine, electronic advance management and two driving wheels with an agricultural profile, the Donky has an impressive capacity to move in difficult terrain. Unlike non-electric motorised wheelbarrows, users can enjoy up to two days of work without any harmful pollutants – in turn helping to protect the environment.

Working and moving in complete silence, and not creating any noise problems for the surrounding area, the Donky electric wheelbarrow can move up to 250 kg or 180 L (400L with the boards) in one trip. With a tank integrated in the tray and a 1″ valve, it can carry 85 L of water or liquid and a spray hose can be connected to it.

This versatile machine can be used in many areas including building and landscaping sites, breeding farms, transport activities, snow clearing, green space maintenance, vegetable farming and plant nurseries.

Furthermore, the hourly cost of use of an Etesia Donky wheelbarrow is approximately £0.03 meaning that the operator will notice significant savings when compared to a fuel based wheelbarrow.

The Hydro 80 MKHP5 can cut and collect in all conditions with the added benefit of a differential lock. The versatile mower also benefits from a mulching insert included as standard. The 80cm cutting width, 240 litre collecting box and impressive Kawasaki FS481H 11.7 kW engine give it the cutting performance and raw power to impress while operating.

Thanks to a range of additional accessories including a snow plough, users are able to extend the versatility of the machine so that it is ready for any scenario 365-days-a-year.

The Hydro 80 MKHP5 cuts and collects both long and short grass – without clogging.

Add to that its compact dimensions measuring just 1.98 m x 0.90 m wide, it is easily transported in a van or trailer. It can pass through most gateways and its tight turning circle make it ideal for small or awkward areas. It mows close to walls and fences and is highly manoeuvrable and efficient offering the kind of output that would easily replace three walk-behind mowers.

Cutting height and emptying of the grass collector can all be adjusted or carried out from the driving seat, while the steering console is fitted with a timer, rev counter and electric starter.

A hose pipe fitting makes cleaning the cutting system quick and easy, while the tool-free access to the engine allows for easy maintenance thanks to quick access to all mechanical parts.

As with all Etesia machines, the new Hydro 80 MKHP5 ride-on mower comes standard with a comprehensive two-year commercial and three-year domestic warranty.
