Rigby Taylor Innovation at SALTEX

Rigby Taylor Innovation at SALTEX: As Rigby Taylor celebrates a century of supply and support to the sports turf and amenity industry, innovation is once again the key word for the company’s presence at SALTEX.

The launch of Remediact, a concentrated, liquid microbial Bio-remediation product has shown superb results in mitigating the damage caused by fuel or oil spills on turf and soil.  One successful user stated, that the use of the product in allowing his turf surface to recover virtually saved his job!

Innovation On Display At Research Event

Innovation On Display At Research Event: The annual research event at the Sports Turf Research Institute, members of the Amenity Forum, had a strong focus on innovation and taking an integrated approach to weed, pest and disease management.

Those attending were able to visit a range of trial sites. Our chairman, John Moverley, was one of the visitors and he found it extremely interesting and worthwhile.

Innovation On Display At Research Event

On October 10th, the Amenity Forum is holding its annual conference and exhibition, an event which has become very much ‘must attend’ for all involved in or with an interest in amenity management. This year the theme is ‘21st Century Amenity Management’ and innovation and integrated management will once again be a key theme. Some really excellent speakers are set to present and there is a great exhibition area where delegates can network and hear about new products and techniques available. It will be held at the Pirelli Stadium at Burton on Trent.

John Moverley said ‘’ the conference is a major showcase for our important sector and all it does. We are in changing and challenging times and it is important that we adapt to this change in a positive way. It is an event not to miss and I look forward to seeing you there’

Tickets, whilst selling fast, are still available at £95. For further information, contact admin@amenityforum.net

Husqvarna Expand Innovation Leadership

Husqvarna Expand Innovation Leadership: Husqvarna, global leader in robotic lawnmowing, today launches Husqvarna EPOS technology, a satellite-based solution for a new series of professional Husqvarna Automower® robotic mowers, enabling mowing with virtual boundaries.

Next year, Husqvarna has pioneered and shaped the robotic mowing segment for 25 years with high performing, silent and direct emission-free robotic mowers that are designed to help landscapers maintain healthy lawns and increase productivity.

Husqvarna Expand Innovation Leadership

In 2019, Husqvarna introduced its first all-wheel drive robotic mowers, allowing residential and professional users to cover areas with an incline of up to 70 % – an important further step into the professional segment. Husqvarna is committed to continue to lead and develop the robotic mowing category through customer centric innovation and solutions.

As the next step, Husqvarna today launches the Husqvarna EPOS technology, a high-precision satellite navigation system that delivers an accuracy of 2-3 centimetres. It is used to create virtual boundaries for professional robotic mowers. The new system will significantly increase the flexibility and use of professional robotic mowers in green spaces, as virtual boundaries can be adapted to meet the ever-changing needs of sports fields and public spaces. This new system further opens up opportunities for areas which historically were challenging for robotic lawnmowers, for example areas passing hard surfaces or those which are often remodeled as well as making aerating and scarifying easier.

Sascha Menges, President Husqvarna Division, commented: “Robotics and autonomous solutions will play a major role in the future of green space management. We are committed to continuously improving professional green space management and Husqvarna EPOS is a technological breakthrough in Husqvarna’s robotic mowing that will further accelerate the adaptation of robotics in professional lawn care. “

Husqvarna pro robotic mowers with Husqvarna EPOS integrate with Husqvarna Fleet Services, a digital fleet management control system, and make the management of large lawns and green spaces easier and more flexible and efficient than ever before.

The new technology is the next step in Husqvarna professional robotic lawnmowing and will be launched with selected professional customers in US, France, Germany and Sweden in 2020.

ECHO Brings Innovation To SALTEX

ECHO Brings Innovation To SALTEX: ECHO will be showcasing a range of new commercial products for groundscare and landscaping professionals at this year’s Saltex.

The ECHO X Series represents a line of products with performance unlike anything else. The foundation of the X Series is understanding professional needs and applying this with powerful, lightweight products designed for great productivity. Two new ‘Best in Class’ ECHO X Series products are introduced to the range.

ECHO Brings Innovation To SALTEX

The ECHO CS-2511WES rear-handle professional chainsaw is the lightest and most compact rear-handle in the ECHO range. Offering an excellent power-to-weight ratio, the CS-2511WES has a dry weight of just 2.6kg and the premium grade ECHO two-stroke engine produces an output of 1.1kW. The chainsaw’s compact design makes it highly manoeuvrable for users working in tight spaces and the ultra-light weight means it can be used for longer periods without fatigue.

ECHO’s latest and most powerful backback blower, the PB-8010, will be launched at the show. Built for the professional, it offers industry leading performance with the 79.9cc two-stroke engine delivering the highest blower power available, with a maximum air speed of 94.5m/sec. The PB-8010 is perfect for heavy clean-up jobs and clearing large spaces. The innovative, lightweight carbon fibre frame, with its heavy-duty backstraps, is ergonomically designed to give the user maximum control and all-day comfort.

Also featured on the stand will be ECHO’s ground-breaking high torque brushcutters, with a 1:2 gear reduction ratio, delivering up to 50% more torque at the cutting head compared to previous models. This means an ECHO high torque brushcutter can provide the same cutting performance as a larger machine, but with a smaller, lightweight engine. That also means less weight and fatigue for the operator and the potential for higher productivity.

ECHO products are manufactured by the Yamabiko Corporation, a leading Japanese manufacturer of professional-quality, outdoor power equipment for over 60 years. ECHO demonstrate their extreme confidence in their machines by offering a two-year professional warranty on their petrol and 50v battery tools.

AriensCo distribute the ECHO products across the UK through a network of authorised dealerships. To find out more about ECHO power tools, visit stand F013 at SALTEX , go online at www.echo-tools.co.uk or call 01844 278800.

Innovation Award Back For 2019

Innovation Award Back For 2019: SALTEX exhibitors are now able to submit their entries for the 2019 Innovation Award – allowing show visitors the chance to witness a stellar line-up of brand new products and services that are pushing the boundaries in groundscare innovation at the NEC, Birmingham on October 30 and 31.

Since its launch at SALTEX 2017, the Innovation Award has helped to highlight some of the most ground-breaking, innovative products and services within the groundscare industry.

Innovation Award Back For 2019

All of the submitted entries are evaluated by an independent panel of judges before a final shortlist is devised. The finalists are then given an opportunity to impress judges and visitors in a seminar theatre on the first day of SALTEX as representatives from each company take to the stage to deliver product presentations.

Entering the award is an unmissable opportunity for exhibitors as every innovation will be featured on the SALTEX website and in the official show guide. Being shortlisted as a finalist offers even more exposure as they will be given dedicated time to showcase their product or service in front of industry giants, judges and influencers and can draw even more of a crowd to their stand.

The worthy winner will be presented with the coveted award at the exhibition and will receive a dedicated news article in post-show reports.

The winner of the SALTEX 2019 Innovation Award will join previous winners: Rigby Taylor’s Intelligent One autonomous robotic line marker and Fleet Line Markers’ MAQA line marking machine were joint winners of the first ever SALTEX Innovation Award and in 2018 Sherriff Amenity’s ground-breaking new app, PrecisionPro, picked up the top prize.
