Berner strengthens its position in the Nordic market

Berner strengthens its position in the Nordic market: Berner Ltd and Indigrow Ltd have agreed that the business operations of Indigrow AB (Sweden) and Indigrow AS (Norway) will be transferred to the Berner Group as of 24 April 2025. This is a business transfer, and the legal entities Indigrow AB and Indigrow AS will remain unchanged.

Berner and Indigrow have had a long-standing collaboration, especially in the distribution of Indigrow products in Finland. In recent years, the partnership has extended to the Baltic countries. “This business transfer is a natural continuation of our long-term cooperation with Indigrow. It enables us to serve our Nordic customers even better and strengthens our position as a specialist in sports turf,” says Kalle Erkkola, Business Unit Director at Berner Ltd.

“We are pleased to deepen our partnership with Berner. Their strong local presence and expertise support the availability of our products and enhance customer service across the Nordic region,” says Carl Crome, CEO of Indigrow Ltd.

The business transfer will not affect existing customer relationships or order and delivery processes. All orders and deliveries will continue as normal during the transition period.

Segway extends its Navimow robotic lawnmower range

Segway extends its Navimow robotic lawnmower range: Segway Navimow has launched the X3 Series, the latest addition to its portfolio of boundary-cord-free robotic lawnmowers.

The range consists of four new models – the X315, X330, X350 and X390 – and is designed to handle unprecedented lawn sizes with precision, mowing areas of up to 10,000m² (the equivalent of one and a half football pitches). The X3 Series joins the popular i Series and H Series models in the Navimow line-up, which are used by over 170,000 customers globally.

Optimised performance to tackle larger lawns

Boasting ultra-fast charging capabilities, 6 blades, an anti-clogging blade disc and accelerated mowing speed, the Navimow X3 Series operates at an efficiency level two times faster than the industry average. The machine can cover a 5,000m² mowing area within just 24 hours, making it the ideal solution for handling bigger lawns. This is bolstered by expanded coverage per charge, tending to gardens or fields as large as 1,200m² before the battery runs out.

TÜV Rheinland has endorsed the high-performance credentials of the X3 Series, awarding it the certification for high mowing efficiency after extensive testing. This is the first time a robotic lawnmower has been granted this accolade, underlining the X3 Series’ position at the forefront of mowing innovation.

EFLS 3.0: Precision positioning and extended signal coverage

Segway has upgraded its Exact Fusion Location System (EFLS) for the X3 Series, introducing EFLS version 3.0. This features major upgrades in Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) coverage, Visual Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (VSLAM), and Visual Inertial Odometry (VIO) technology. This state-of-the-art system ensures unparalleled stability and precision, even in challenging signal environments.

Powered by a customised chip from STMicroelectronics, a world-leading microelectronics manufacturer, the self-developed 3-frequency RTK system increases signal coverage by 20-30%. This mitigates against blind spots that block reception, such as narrow passages or areas under high rooftops. Dual RTK antennas are equipped to address complex layouts, for example properties with both front and back yards, with an extra antenna installed to provide extended signal coverage and unbeatable stability.

Upgraded VisionFence with 300° view

Enhanced VisionFence technology, a solution specifically designed to deliver efficient AI route planning, bolsters the X3 Series with a 300° field of view that enables highly reliable obstacle avoidance. Powered by 3 cameras and a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor with a 0.1-2 metre sensory range, hazard detection (including suspended objects such as swings, trampolines, and hanging decorations) is significantly improved. The recognition capabilities of the X3 Series extend to over 200 different obstacle types, ensuring smooth, intuitive navigation.

Additional features that increase user experience and usability include a dot matrix screen that communicates status updates, theft alerts and GPS tracking, smart speaker integration, and a design equipped to handle slopes of up to 50% (27°).

Unlocking new possibilities through the Expansion Bay

The Expansion Bay with open API allows customers to integrate product extensions tailored to their personal needs.

George Ren, CEO of Segway Navimow BU, commented: “Built to tackle larger areas and layouts of varying levels of complexity, the X3 Series is tailormade for a new market that stands to benefit from the efficiency and accuracy of robotic mowers. Not only can it fulfil the needs of households with larger gardens requiring significant maintenance, its capabilities extend to commercial use where the X3 Series can help estates managers, local councils and many more save time and achieve outstanding results.

“This latest addition to the Navimow portfolio perfectly complements our i Series and H Series ranges. We are now able to meet the diverse range of requirements of UK gardeners, offering autonomous and highly efficient mowing for lawns of all shapes and sizes.”

Price

Prices for each model are as follows: X315E – £2,199, X330E – £2,599, X350E – £3,199, X390E – £4,299

Availability

X3 series will be available through authorised dealer shops. Customers can find the closest dealer shop to their home via Navimow’s website: https://navimow.segway.com/en-gb/pages/channel

EGO proves it’s a cut above with new products

EGO proves it’s a cut above with new products: After revolutionising the market in 2024 with its reimagined Pro X series, EGO Power Plus is harnessing new markets this year with a bold portfolio of products. With the adoption of battery power becoming more popular, customers will now have even more ways to use their EGO batteries.

This year, EGO is expanding its Lifestyle range – a selection of battery-powered outdoor power equipment for use in the garden and beyond – to grow its innovative capabilities and to give existing customers exciting new uses for their EGO ARC 56V lithium batteries. New additions to the range include the SK1800E Outdoor Speaker, FN1000E Mini-Misting Fan, WDV0900E Wet/Dry Vacuum, the BSP3500E 15L Backpack Sprayer and the ETA0800E Earth and Ice Auger.

EGO proves it’s a cut above with new products

Back in the garden, EGO has developed an exciting range of new products. Its flagship product for 2025 is the LM2230E-SP professional mower. Its largest mower to date, this 55cm mower with a super composite deck, can cut up to 2000 sqm on a single charge with a 10Ah battery. For those who prefer their lawn maintenance a little more automated, EGO is releasing its first robot mowers, the RM4000E and the RM2000E, which can seamlessly adapt to the complexities of any lawn. And for tidying up the edges, the ST1510E-T line trimmer puts the ease back into trimming with PowerloadTM Technology which loads the line in seconds at the push of a button.

Ideal for arborists, the CS1200E professional top-handled chainsaw is a compact, lightweight saw which cuts smoothly and simplifies tree work.

Back on the ground, EGO’s 2025 leaf blowers have been developed with even more power and performance. The LB6150E has a 1,045m3/h output in Boost mode, and 18.5N of air force while the LB6700E has 1,138m3/h output in Boost mode and a 20N air force for bigger tasks across large areas. After blowing the leaves into a pile, EGO is also making light work of clearing with its first ever 3-in-1 leaf vacuum, the LV5000E 3. With the capability of mulching leaves as they are collected, this tool has the power to tackle small to medium household clean-ups and easily converts from vacuum to blower.

Momentum continues this year with the Pro X series, which is designed for heavy-duty commercial users who need tools that can cope with the demands of a busy working day and be charged overnight. Coming this year, is EGO’s first Pro X multi-tool powerhead, which has been upgraded to ensure it is robust enough to tackle the toughest of jobs. Also joining the series is the new LBPX1100, which is one of the most powerful backpack blowers on the market and the LBX1000 which provides the power of a backpack blower in a handheld unit. All three tools form part of the new generation of Pro X tools with BLE connectivity built-in for status monitoring.

Steve Roskell, Marketing Director EMEA for EGO, said: “The demand for battery-powered outdoor power equipment has surged dramatically in recent years, and EGO is proud to be leading the charge as more users make the switch. Building on the success of our Pro X series last year, we’re excited to unveil even more ground-breaking and innovative products this year”.

Compatible with EGO’s range of multi-tools is the new STA1700 line trimmer attachment which features technologies for automatic line feeding and fast line replacement as well as EGO’s first Dethatcher attachment (DA1400) which removes the thatch layer between grass and soil for a healthier lawn.

Green-tech names St Leonard’s Hospice as its chosen charity

Each year, a member of the Green-tech team selects a charity for the company to support throughout the year. For 2025, Deputy Team Leader Chris Cross’ chosen charity is St Leonard’s Hospice, a much-loved and vital organisation that provides exceptional care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses in York and North Yorkshire.

St Leonard’s Hospice offers a range of services, including inpatient care, a Hospice@Home service, and bereavement support for families. Their compassionate approach ensures that patients and their loved ones receive the care and dignity they deserve during challenging times. As an independent charity, St Leonard’s relies heavily on donations to continue its critical work.

The Green-tech team aims to raise over £1000 during 2025 through various fundraising events and initiatives. In previous years, Green-tech has successfully raised substantial amounts for other charities, including Henshaws College, The Sick Children’s Trust, and Epilepsy Action. In 2024, they raised over £30,000 as part of their ‘£30k for 30 Years’ campaign.

Chris Cross commented, “St Leonard’s Hospice holds a special place in my family’s heart after caring for my father-in-law in his last few months. Their hard work is appreciated, offering comfort and care during life’s most difficult moments. I am proud to support them throughout 2025 and look forward to raising as much as possible to give a little back and help make a difference.”

St Leonard’s Hospice is excited about the partnership with Green-tech. Annie Keogh, Corporate Partnerships Development Fundraiser comments “We are incredibly grateful to Green-tech for choosing to support our hospice in 2025, which also marks St Leonard’s 40th Anniversary. It’s tried and trusted Trilo’s

It’s tried and trusted Trilo’s: With a remit of defence and public open spaces, Gavin Jones is one of five companies that make up the wider Nurture Group.

Helping the team to deliver maintenance contracts on Ministry of Defence (MOD) sites across the southwest are a fleet of multi-functional units from Trilo – the current compliment of three M8’s, one M10 and one S12 adding to a long list of reliable performance delivered by Trilo machines for over a decade.

It’s tried and trusted Trilo’s

It’s tried and trusted Trilo’s

Andy Mighall has been the Regional Manager for the southwest for the last 14 years and explains why the company comes back to Trilo time and time again. “We’ve run blowers, SG400’s and SU40’s in the past and where they would have primarily been purchased for leaf clearance, the newer units give us the multi-functionality to conduct tasks year-round” he explains. “In our experience, there’s no other machines out there that combine the versatility and reliability we get from Trilo.”

The current fleet was procured over a two-year period from supporting dealers Lister Wilder, and now reside with teams based at five of the largest MOD sites across the region. “From October to March they’re utilised for leaf clearance, which is incredibly quick and efficient compared to alternative methods. Our new units offer the ability to control the Wanderhose from the cab which saves someone having to operate it manually and now frees that person up to do other tasks.”

Trilo’s Multipurpose (M) range enables the swift switching between shafts to conduct multiple maintenance tasks, all with one machine, a feature which Gavin Jones utilise to the full! Andy continues, “We additionally purchased the scarifier and flail shafts which means that come the summer we can use the Trilo’s not only for site clearance and collection of arisings from large area grass cutting, but also to conduct those cut and collection tasks and/or scarification on areas such as the airfields.”

“Together with great efficiency and build quality, something we’ve also always had with Trilo is great back-up support from Listers and Vanmac’s Jeremy Vincent. On the delivery of the newest machine, Jeremy delivered full installation and familiarity training which means every operator has the knowledge and confidence to get the very best out of each machine.”
