Two Toro Launches At BTME

Two Toro Launches At BTME: Reesink Turfcare are kicking off 2019 with the launch of two new Toro fine turf machines at BTME.

Full details of both machines are being kept under wraps until the show, but what the company can reveal is that one takes a popular ride-on greens mower and makes it super quiet, while the other brings new innovation to pedestrian mowing.

Two Toro Launches At BTME

In the first, a proven engine, no more hydraulics and a significant reduction in operator noise, but with the familiar feel of its series counterparts will undoubtedly create a great deal of interest with UK greenkeepers and course managers keen to up their green credentials.

The second launch improves the operator experience without affecting the quality of cut. The handle and suspension on this new pedestrian mower have all received the Toro touch and together means operation is simpler, cut is more consistent and adjustment is even easier.

This new Toro two will be joined on stand 420 in the Purple Zone by the Outcross, Toro’s first super-duty utility vehicle. The Outcross combines the best elements of a tractor with a utility vehicle that’s been purpose-built to expand the operators’ capacity for work, allowing them to do more with less. With the power to tow 16,000lbs and an optional cargo bed that can hold 4,500lbs of materials, its sheer strength is astonishing.

Completing the Toro machinery line-up will be the latest ‘flagship’ machines for greenkeeping professionals. They include the Reelmaster 5010-H; the machine which introduced the industry to a fairway mower with a true hybrid drive system to seamlessly match the power needed for traction and cutting based on mowing conditions.

Also in the Reelmaster category and at the show will be the RM3555-D, the hard-working, economical mower and lightest in its category, which can climb hills while running groomers and rear roller brushes yet uses less fuel per acre than traditional fairway mowers.

Completing the line-up are the Workman GTX-E, the mid-duty electric utility vehicle with over 300 configuration options, and myTurf Pro, the web-based asset management system providing machinery data for efficient fleet maintenance.

Holly Jones, marketing manager at Reesink, says: “These two machines promise to be a big hit with customers and the show provides the perfect launch platform. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the stand, where our specialist machinery team will be on hand to give help and advice about all our products.”

See all this – and more – on stand 420 in the Purple Zone.

Pellenc Launches Alpha Range

Pellenc Launches Alpha Range: Pellenc, the world’s leading expert in battery-powered tools for maintaining landscapes, has launched the Alpha range – the first truly professional ‘on-board’ battery range.

The Pellenc Alpha range sees two new batteries (P260 and P520) which can be directly fitted to the tools or fitted to a new harness.

Pellenc Launches Alpha Range

Comprising the Helion Alpha hedge trimmers and the Excelion Alpha grass strimmer, two tools which use the latest on-board batteries, the 260 and 520, it was designed to bring together ergonomics and efficiency. With all of these features, the range has what it takes to convert the last of the professionals who are hesitant to abandon petrol powered tools.

The Helion Alpha hedge trimmers: handling and power

The Helion Alpha’s cutting quality allows for precision pruning of hedges or other shrubs, particularly on hard, dry wood. Unlike most pole hedge trimmers on the market, its cutter bar combines increased thickness (2.25 mm), tooth opening (33 mm) and strength, a winning trio that makes this tool perfect for all types of cutting, from pruning to finishing.

The quality of its engine is another major advantage. It ensures excellent performance and allows for cuts of up to 33 mm in diameter. In addition to offering 3 different working speeds, it is 100% waterproof and provides complete safety. From an ergonomic standpoint, the hand grip and working visibility were conceived with particular care, with optimised balance and a new cutter bar orientation system.

Its on-board battery makes it a tool that’s always ready to use and very compact for work that lasts up to 6 hours*

The Excelion Alpha grass cutter

Able to cut dense patches as well as soft grasses, the Pellenc Excelion Alpha can be used for mowing or road-side finishing work, in cities and gardens alike.

It synthesises high cutting capacities (6400 rpm, 400 mm with 2.4 mm wire), making it particularly efficient on all surfaces. Its Alphacut cutting head and its excellent rotation speed guarantee high-quality mulching, even on tough grasses. The Excelion Alpha exhibits well-designed ergonomics, high manoeuvrability (even in the thickest copses) and excellent cutting visibility.

Pellenc Launches Alpha Range

With the Alpha 520 on-board battery, which has the highest capacity on the market, it is a compact tool that is always ready to use for work that lasts up to 3.5 hours*.

The Alpha harness

The Pellenc Alpha back harness can be equipped with the new 260 and 520 batteries in order to use them with all tools within the Pellenc range. Pellenc’s engineers designed the carrying ergonomics and ease of use with particular care.

Sherriff Launches E2 Pro Elicitor

Sherriff Launches E2 Pro Elicitor: Sherriff Amenity has announced the launch of E2 Pro Elicitor, a new and unique soluble plant biostimulant containing Harpin aβ. E2 Pro is a brand of turf care products which is viewed as being synonymous with quality, and the ever-growing portfolio includes a range of both high performing water soluble and liquid fertilisers.

There are currently five different analyses within the water soluble range and eight in the liquid portfolio, ensuring that there is a solution to suit a wide range of nutrient requirements throughout the year.

Sherriff Launches E2 Pro Elicitor

Elicitor is the latest product to be welcomed to the E2 Pro family and by all accounts it appears that turf managers will be more than pleased with addition.

This unique soluble biostimulant contains an elicitor that stimulates gene expression in plants, delivering improved abiotic stress tolerance and better plant growth. Elicitors are known to activate a variety of biosynthetic pathways within the plant and the inclusion of Harpin aβ can significantly enhance results. Rigorous trial work has concluded that Harpin aβ specifically stimulates plant growth (above and below ground), nutrient absorption and tolerance to abiotic stress, including drought, temperature stress and pesticide detoxification. Further benefits include increased photosynthesis and enhanced root development.

Harpins are acidic, heat-stable, glycine-rich proteins produced by Gram-negative bacteria, which trigger defence responses in diverse plant species. When applied as a foliar spray, the Harpin proteins bind to plant receptors, initiating jasmonic acid and ethylene dependent signalling pathways; known as a Hypersensitive Response (HR). Harpins induce the expression of genes involved in cell wall development, cellular communication, and signalling and defence responses.

Harpin aβ proteins can be applied as either a seed treatment, or as a foliar spray. When used as a foliar spray, application every 3-4 weeks during growth is recommended. As Harpin aβ activates genes within the plant, there is no requirement for full coverage at the time of application. Once the genes are activated, the plant response is initiated within 24 hours.

Jensen Launches New Website

Jensen Launches New Website: Jensen Woodchippers are pleased to announce the launch of a new UK website. The new site will be dedicated to showcasing the wide range of chippers available to industry professionals across the country.

With a simple to navigate structure, the new website enables users to view details on all the Jensen machines available to the UK market in towable, tracked or PTO configurations, ranging from sub750kg towable 6” chippers right through to powerful 12” models on hydraulically adjustable tracks. Visitors can also find out more about Jensen’s ability to custom build chippers to individual specification featuring cranes, conveyor belts, chip storage containers and much more.

Jensen Launches New Website

Not only that, booking a free, on-site demonstration has been made easy with an online form available on every page which sends your request straight through to the Jensen UK team for a quick response. Alternatively, for those who prefer to talk on the phone, you can call and speak to a Jensen representative right here in the UK with contact numbers available for the team.

For those seeking to contact their nearest Jensen dealer, the ‘Find a Dealer’ page provides addresses, telephone and email details for each of the current Jensen dealers, a list which will continue to grow with new dealers sought to increase support and sales coverage for customers in new areas.

Bill Johnston, Business Manager for Jensen UK is thrilled with the new digital presence, commenting: “This new website is hugely exciting, creating a really useful resource for both Jensen chipper users and for our dedicated dealers. The website is easy to navigate and contains a great deal of useful information, which can only help to promote this premium brand. As the brand continues to grow throughout the UK we shall ensure the website develops at the same speed. 2018 continues to be a great year for Jensen!”

Cees De Kock, Export Area Sales Manager for Jensen in Germany added, “Jensen’s portfolio of machines is very extensive, and a good website is very important to share information on all of the options available to customers. This new Jensen UK website demonstrates just that, and we are sure it will be very useful for customers in the UK seeking to learn more about the wide range of chippers we can provide.”

Established in northern Germany in 1884 by Peter Jensen, Jensen machines were the very first woodchippers in the world, specially developed for local authorities to maintain the public spaces around his hometown of Maasbull.

In the 130 years since their initial development, Jensen woodchippers have spread across the world, and in 2017 management of the UK distributorship was given to T H WHITE Machinery Imports Ltd.

The Jensen brand in the UK has seen great success over the past year under T H WHITE Machinery Imports stewardship and the development of a new UK-based website will support the business’ focus on further increasing visibility within the UK market along with helping existing Jensen owners to find and contact their local dealer for sales and service support.

Valagro Launches Master Supreme

Valagro Launches Master Supreme: Valagro, a leading company in the production and marketing of biostimulants and other specialty nutrients, today presents their premium line of water-soluble fertilisers, Master Supreme, to the Chinese market at the NCIC Global Specialty Fertilizer Convention, a landmark event for the Chinese agricultural market, organised by China National Chemical Information Center (CNCIC).

Master Supreme is a new solution created by Valagro as a response to farmers’ needs and it is able to provide a guaranteed nutritional and biostimulant effect.     Master Supreme water-soluble fertilizers line has a high quality and purity and is enriched with biologically active compounds such as Ascophyllum nodosum extracts and humich compouds. These new formulations are the result of exclusive GeaPower technology (GEA 582) and guarantee greater and more efficient crop nutrition, naturally stimulating the physiological processes of the plant, ensuring quantitative and qualitative increase in production. The Master Supreme line offers 5 different solutions to ensure the correct supply of nutrients and biologically active substances in every phase of vegetative-productive development:

  1. Master Supreme Starter: the nutritional solution to improve the first stages of plant growth and to increase root development
  2. Master Supreme Development: formulated to nourish the plant while promoting vegetative development
  3. Master Supreme Flowering: the solution for stimulating metabolic activity, designed to nourish the plant during the flowering phase, it also stimulates metabolic activity
  4. Master Supreme Ripening: the presence of specific biologically active elements helps to improve the quality parameters of the fruit
  5. Master Supreme Balanced: the balanced formulation for every physiological process.

Valagro Launches Master Supreme

The launch for the Chinese market follows many events that have taken place in Italy, Turkey, Spain and Greece since 2017 with the involvement of farmers, technicians and the main distributors in these markets.

Derek Fang, Country manager Valagro (Shanghai) Trading Co. Ltd:
“Our Master Supreme Line can meet successfully the needs of the Chinese farmers. Often the Chinese agriculture is affected by nutritional imbalance during farmers planting. While using water-soluble fertilizers, more and more farmers begin to accept humic acid and seaweed fertilizer. All these above contributes to rise the demand for products which combine organic and inorganic fertilizer together in order to ensure a growing effective and sustainable nutrition to the crops. Also, this is in line with the demand for a growing sustainability in agriculture set by the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture (MOA): in fact within 2020 the MOA want to improve the fertilizer use efficiency by achieving over 40% of the fertilizer efficiency rate (+7% over 2013)”.

Rita Basile, Valagro product manager:
“Numerous tests have shown that the active ingredients present in the Master Supreme formulations help activate the physiological processes that optimise the performance of the plant. For this reason, the solutions of the Master Supreme line are able to guarantee a better absorption and use of nutrients using lower doses, compared to traditional methods of fertigation. This translates into a more precise and intelligent use of fertilisers, with a consequent increase in ROI for farmers, as well as a reduction in the environmental impact of crops. These aspects certainly represent an effective response to the needs of productivity and sustainability of the Chinese agricultural market.”
