Husqvarna becomes Title Partner of the British Masters

Husqvarna becomes Title Partner of the British Masters: Husqvarna, a global leader in robotic lawnmowing and part of Husqvarna Group, has signed a multi-year agreement to become the new Title Partner of the British Masters – one of the world’s most historic golf tournaments.

The 2026 Husqvarna British Masters will be staged at The Belfry on the iconic Brabazon Course in England. In addition, Husqvarna will also be the official robotic mowing partner of the DP World Tour.

“Golf is the perfect stage to demonstrate the performance of Husqvarna’s robotic lawnmowers, already delivering world-class results at over 1,700 courses worldwide. This partnership marks a shared commitment to reinvent golf course maintenance for a new era”, says Yvette Henshall-Bell, President Europe BU Husqvarna Forest & Garden Division, Husqvarna Group.

First played in 1946, the British Masters has a distinguished history with past champions including Peter Thomson, Tony Jacklin, Bernhard Langer, Ian Woosnam, Seve Ballesteros, Sir Nick Faldo, Colin Montgomerie and Sweden’s Alex Noren in the 2025 tournament. Six-time major winner Sir Nick Faldo, himself a Husqvarna Brand Ambassador, will return as host of the Husqvarna British Masters in 2026.

“As a former Champion, I take great pride in hosting this iconic tournament and it’s about to enter an exciting new era with this new partnership. I love Husqvarna’s products, and they will be out in full force at The Belfry next August to make sure the Brabazon Course is in perfect condition”, says Sir Nick Faldo.

As part of the agreement, Husqvarna also becomes an Official Marketing Partner of the 2026 DP World Tour, building on the successful partnership in 2025. In 2026 Husqvarna will be the Official Tournament Partner to the British Masters and the Amgen Irish Open, Corporate Partner to the BMW International Open, KLM Open and FedEx Open de France. With this elevated status, Husqvarna will showcase its products across DP World Tour channels throughout the season, and partner with green keepers and course managers to deliver consistent quality on the tournament courses.

Recently, at the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Porthcawl in Wales, 15 Husqvarna CEORA robotic mowers maintained all 18 fairways during the tournament, marking the first time robotic mowers have maintained fairways live on the world golf stage.

In Memory of Adrian Masters

In Memory of Adrian Masters: It is with the most profound sadness that Origin Amenity Solutions, along with many in our industry, remember our friend and colleague, Adrian (Ade) Masters, who passed away on Thursday, 26th June 2025, after a short illness.

Ade’s journey, and contribution to the sportsturf industry encompassed working with Whitemoss, Maxicrop and Countrywide Amenity, after which he became an integral part of the Headland Amenity Sales team, later transitioning into OAS.

In Memory of Adrian Masters

A much-loved and highly respected member of the OAS team, Ade dedicated almost 19 years to our business, over which time, he built strong relationships with many customers and colleagues, always upholding his values of trust, professionalism and care.

As Technical Sales Manager, Ade brought real understanding and experience to his role, but also humour, warmth, and an unmistakable passion for people. Whether working with colleagues, customers, or industry partners, he developed friendships that went far beyond business. He always took the time to connect, support, and brighten the day of those around him.

Ade’s impact stretched across our business and far beyond it. The outpouring of messages on the OAS LinkedIn page from friends, customers, and industry peers is a powerful reflection of how widely he was known and how deeply he was appreciated. Many speak of his infectious laugh, his integrity and unwavering positivity, and not least, his singing! His rendition of ‘American Pie’ was legendary and enjoyed by so many in the social times that surrounded trade shows, conferences and company events.

Andy Russell, Commercial Director at OAS, shared this personal tribute, “Ade had a special gift for connecting with people. He could walk into a room and light it up with his warmth, energy, and humour. He was a valued colleague, a trusted friend, and someone you always looked forward to seeing. It’s incomprehensible that he has been taken from us so soon and will be missed more than words can express. I’ll miss the smile in his voice and the honesty in everything he touched. Thank you for your support and friendship and for being you. Rest in peace, Ade.”

Professionally, Ade was a true ambassador, not just for OAS but for the whole industry. Personally, he was a loyal friend, a trusted teammate, and a person who made a difference simply by being himself. His absence will be felt profoundly, but his memory will remain ever-present in the stories we share and the lives he touched.

Our heartfelt thoughts are with Ade’s family, friends and all who knew him. He will be forever missed and never forgotten. With deepest sympathy from all at Origin Amenity Solutions.

John Deere supports the ECGC Masters

John Deere supports the ECGC Masters: The month of April is synonymous in golf for the Masters, and each year Education City Golf Cub runs its own version of the tournament over the 18-hole Championship course, which recently hosted the European Tour’s Commercial Bank Qatar Masters.

The ECGC Masters was held on April 9 & 10, and this year John Deere supported the club event in conjunction with the effort that went into setting up the golf course to present Augusta-like conditions.

The tournament aims to ensure that all details are aligned to the Masters in terms of course conditions, fast greens and immaculate presentation, all prepared by a fleet of 93 John Deere machines including tractors and greens, fairway & rough mowers, giving members and guests an exceptional experience over the two-day event. Players competed in the gross division for the ECGC Masters green jacket, while others could compete in the net division for some great prizes.

“The ECGC Masters is a signature event at Education City Golf Club,” said the club’s Director of Golf Rhys Beecher. “It is an opportunity to showcase the fantastic playing surfaces and course conditions during a two-day tournament. The team here enjoy making the small touches that bring the ECGC Masters to life for both our members and the guests that participate. John Deere is a terrific partner, as its precision equipment helps elevate the ECGC Masters to one of the most significant weekends in the golfing calendar.”

In 2018, in line with the club’s sustainability vision, John Deere was selected as the perfect match to support the club’s vision in becoming a pioneer for sustainable practices and superior playing surfaces. Hybrid electric technology was chosen and is now used on over 90 per cent of the mowing fleet.

Education City Golf Club’s General Manager Michael Braidwood said: “Our core product is the golf course and therefore it must be presented in immaculate condition. We aim to highlight this annually at a number of key tournaments and the ECGC Masters is one of these prestigious events.”

Carlos Aragones, John Deere European golf & turf sales & marketing manager, added: “Together with our local dealer Progressive Trading, we were delighted to be involved with Education City Golf Club in helping to prepare the Championship Course for this signature event at such a wonderful venue. Our partnership approach helps everyone to achieve the best possible results where they matter, out on the course, and keep things running as smoothly as possible throughout the tournament.”
