These cordless roller lawnmowers have all the power of petrol but the convenience of cordless. Although much quieter than petrol machines, it does not mean that power has been lost!  The motors drive the rear roller and cutting blades to produce that wonderful striped finish. With no fumes and easy push button start these mowers are a real pleasure to use as well as being incredibly energy efficient.

Both of the mowers below have batteries which can also be used in all in the STIGA 48V battery handheld tools.

The Liner 16s Li Rear Roller Lawnmower is a 48V-battery, ‘green dream’ and represents the future of domestic lawn-care!  Due to innovative low maintenance and ‘intelligent’ motor technology, this mower is very efficient and runs for up to 60 minutes.  It also has more features such as a stripe producing roller, effort saving self-drive, 41cm (16”) cut and single-point cutting height adjustment. It is supplied with a 55-litre collector and batteries and charger.

The Liner 18S LI Kit has the larger 46cm (16”) cut option and all of the other superb features that the Liner 16s Li boasts too! They are both also fitted with ergonomic soft-grip handlebars for comfort and also have anti-gouge skid plates.  These plates enable multi-terrain transitions without harming the turf, whilst producing a classic striped finish.

Clean, no-fuss, quick-start accessibility and virtually maintenance free – just pop in the batteries and go for the finest cordless cut of all!

In line with public concern about the damage peat extraction does to our natural environment, the business is committed to an annual reduction in the use of peat as a growing medium and has already made excellent headway, with their Meadowscape Pro™ product now 100% peat-free.

Meadowscape Pro™ is an enhanced pre-seeded growing medium used by professionals for effective wildflower establishment and allows the creation of dynamic and biodiverse wildflower spaces in a range of settings with very little ground preparation.

Successful wildflower establishment is very dependent on quick, healthy seedling growth gaining a head start over any other grass or weed species development – Meadowscape Pro™ delivers the optimal seed germination environment to make this happen.

Enriched with Hydropor™, the specially developed formula supports good water percolation and retention, stabilising the growing medium for much better seed germination compared to conventional direct seeding.

In addition to refinements to Meadowscape Pro™, Wildflower Turf Ltd has also recently released two Limited-Edition products: Meadowscape Pro™ Low Grow and Meadowscape Pro™ Pollinator.

Already proving very popular, the Low Grow mix has been designed for projects that require biodiversity enrichment but with height restrictions to consider. This new release is perfect for sites such as a road verges, roundabouts or in a garden or near a building.

The species-rich mix will grow to approximately 40-50cm in height and has the added benefit of incorporating a few highly scented species which, when disturbed, throw up a heady scent and attract a considerable number of insects to the very attractive habitat. Low Grow also has some ornamental grasses included which add texture and a changing colour scheme to the area throughout the growing season.

This new release is currently available in Meadowscape Pro™ as a Limited-Edition product. The Limited-Edition Wildflower Turf® format will be available from summer 2022.

The second Limited Edition Release, Meadowscape Pro™ Pollinator, has been created by playing with a range of native and non-native wildflowers to create a tall architectural feast of colour and nectar for a wide range of insects. This grass-free mix can grow in optimal conditions to over 1m in height and provides an eye-catching natural nectar bar that is perfect for private gardens as well as parks and public areas.

Rain Bird’s new Xeri Bug™

Rain Bird’s new Xeri Bug™: Rain Bird’s new Xeri Bug™ pressure compensating emitter with Check Valve (XBCV) reflects the company’s commitment to the development of products designed to conserve water.

When drip irrigating green walls, sloping landscapes or raised potted plants, a major issue has always been the escape of water and over watering at the base of the installation. Xeri Bug XBCV overcomes these problems, holding back up to three metres of water by simply snapping shut and then keeping the dripline charged and ready for the next irrigation cycle when the pump or water source is stopped.

Rain Bird's new Xeri Bug™

Rain Bird’s new Xeri Bug™

Using the Xeri Bug XBCV emitter is simple. Its self-piercing barb is designed to push quickly into the dripline tubing without the need for a hole punching tool. The emitters can be positioned exactly where they are needed next to any plant to provide irrigation where it is needed at the root base. Versions with flow rates are 2.0, 4.0 or 8.0 litres per hour are available and the pressure-compensating diaphragm ensures uniform delivery through a consistent flow from 1.0 to 3.4 bar.

The Xeri Bug XBCV has a compact, robust and durable design. It is manufactured from highly inert materials that are resistant to chemicals and furthermore its UV-resistance will also extend the life of the emitter. By retaining its charge of water and immediately beginning irrigation, it will reduce cycle times. The self-flushing action prevents clogging and reduces calcium build-up on the inlet.  Products are colour coded for flow rate identification.

Rain Bird’s complementary Point Source Emitter Calculator calculates the Daily Plant Water Requirement (PWR)  providing the number of emitters required to irrigate each individual plant, and the suggest the run time for any point source drip irrigation project.

“Whether it is rolling, marking, spiking or renovating, I really enjoy preparing the cricket pitches and maintaining them so that they are ready for our teams to play on,” she said. “This work has provided me with a lot of knowledge about the company because we get all our products from Agrovista Amenity.

“This is a fantastic opportunity and I’m really looking forward to starting a brand-new career which will hopefully be long-lasting.”

When Sophie is not at her cricket club, she likes to keep active and go on long walks with her ‘crazy’ puppy.

William is the newest addition to the sales team and is three weeks into his apprenticeship. He joins the company with a great knowledge in IT and communications, which he gained through education and various work experience. In his spare time William is a keen swimmer and a fan of history, who enjoys visiting ruins and museums.

Commenting on his new role, William said: “I get the impression that Agrovista is very up to date and progressive with the market it operates in and covers a wide range of products where I could gain new and interesting knowledge. I am also thrilled to learn about commercial exporting as I find it very interesting in how goods are transported in and out of the UK.

“I am looking forward to being able to assist my team and increase productivity. My new team is a big factor and have been excellent at making me feel welcome – so a big thank you to them.”

Dan Hughes, Head of Commercial for Agrovista Amenity, revealed his delight at welcoming Sophie and William to the team.

“As an employer, nothing is more rewarding than providing young, talented, and ambitious people an exciting career opportunity.

“With amenity being such a niche sector, both Sophie and William have the opportunity to harness specialist skills and knowledge for a successful career. We are fortunate to have a team and organisational culture that prides itself on helping, knowledge sharing and progressing committed team members and that is vital to our ethos and business success.”
