Etesia announce new Donky

Etesia announce new customised Donky: Etesia UK has announced the launch of the new Donky electric wheelbarrow.

The environmentally friendly Donky electric wheel barrow has quickly become a popular choice for those responsible for landscape management with many green space managers praising the machine for making site work a lot easier – no more relying on the strength of your arms alone for moving heavy loads. No more noise, polluting fumes and no need to buy fuel.

Etesia announce new customised Donky

The new Donky will offer its operators even more versatility with the ability to customise the electric wheelbarrow. The classic plastic tub can now be removed and replaced with whatever is required for the task ahead. Users may choose to attach a wooden board for transport or assembly of work equipment, or alternatively they may opt for the all new tin tub which will ensure that it is even more robust.

The Donky is not just comfortable, environmentally friendly and silent, it is also a true tool carrier; with its exclusive MRM tray and accessories, it will help you in a large variety of jobs throughout the year from cleaning, landscaping, snow removal, transportation of liquids and work platforms. It allows the transport of bulky products (boards, cross member, closing fabric and reel), and provides a working surface at a suitable height. The Donky also features a tray emptying function which is achieved by a central lever, with unlocking and assistance.

With a powerful 1700 W engine, electronic advance management and two driving wheels with an agricultural profile, the Donky has an impressive capacity to move in difficult terrain. Unlike non-electric motorised wheelbarrows, users can enjoy up to two days of work without any harmful pollutants – in turn helping to protect the environment.

Working and moving in complete silence, and not creating any noise problems for the surrounding area, the Donky electric wheelbarrow can move up to 250 kg or 180 L (400L with the boards) in one trip. With a tank integrated in the tray and a 1″ valve, it can carry 85 L of water or liquid and a spray hose can be connected to it.

This versatile machine can be used in many areas including building and landscaping sites, breeding farms, transport activities, snow clearing, green space maintenance, vegetable farming and plant nurseries.

Furthermore, the hourly cost of use of an Etesia Donky wheelbarrow is approximately £0.03 meaning that the operator will notice significant savings when compared to a fuel based wheelbarrow.

Greenworks new battery range

Greenworks new battery range: Greenworks, the world’s leading cordless garden products brand, launches a new twin-battery range for 2020 that will revolutionise the way we maintain our gardens in Britain.

The package includes a 48v cordless lawnmower – with the power provided by two separate 24v batteries.  One of the two light-weight batteries can also be swapped into a line-trimmer or hedge cutter, where weight and manoeuvrability are paramount.

Greenworks new battery range

“Consumers tell us that they want a high-performance from cordless lawnmowers but find the size and weight of a larger voltage batteries a handicap when using them in hand-held line trimmers and hedge cutters.  We have solved by problem by powering the lawnmower with two 24v batteries that run in parallel thus delivering 48v of power.  This way, both batteries are light in weight and can then be used individually in any of the 24v range including the line trimmers and hedge cutters,” says Greenworks’ Mark Moseley.

“Gardeners can have a top of the range cordless lawnmower, a line trimmer and hedge cutter plus twin-charger and two batteries, from the world’s leading producer of cordless equipment, for £318.99.    This will be among the most compelling offers on the market for the start of the 2020 gardening season and moves battery powered gardening to a new level of competitive high performance,” adds Mark.

The line-trimmer and hedge cutter can be bought separately, including charger and single 24v battery for £79.99.   The charging time for a 24v 2ah battery is one hour and a single charge will be perfect to cope with tennis court sized lawns.

Greenworks has a large range of cordless garden products available with a variety of different battery voltages.   The new 2020 lawnmower, line-trimmer and hedge cutter offer is available nationally from garden centres such as Dobbies, sheds and specialist dealers.   All Greenworks products offer the power and performance of petrol with no emissions, simple starting, minimal servicing and ease of use.   As their names says, cordless products operate without the need for trailing power cables.

Greenworks products are manufactured and owned by Globe Tools in China, front-runners in a world that leaves fossil fuels and electric cords behind.  Globe Tools is the world’s largest manufacturer of cordless garden products.  Greenworks garden products are marketed exclusively in the UK by Swindon based Handy Distribution. In 2019 Greenworks achieved more sales in the US and Germany than any other cordless brand.

Headland to launch new Turfite

Headland to launch new Turfite: Headland Amenity will be launching an updated and improved formulation of their popular Turfite product at BTME 2020.

Visitors to Stand 272 in the Red Zone can hear how Turfite Elite is already showing excellent results in the company’s leading ‘20-20-30’ non-pesticidal tank mix, in the fight to minimise incidences of turf disease.

Headland to launch new Turfite

New Turfite Elite is based on potassium phosphite and Salicylic acid – a known systemic acquired resistance (SAR) elicitor which provides a clear disease suppression pathway, by triggering the SAR mechanism. By stimulating stronger root development, it has demonstrated in trials to contribute to a stronger grass plant that is less susceptible to stress-related disease. As well as ’20-20-30’, Turfite Elite is also fully compatible with a number of other Headland products including Seamac Ultra Plus and TeMag Elite. It is available in 10 and 100 litre containers, and cost and rates of use are exactly the same as the previous Turfite formulation.

As leaders in integrated disease management, Headland have been trialling effective non-pesticidal products with the STRI since 2007. These products and combinations have been refined over this period and now provide established results in the field. The company will use Harrogate as a platform to launch two new biostimulant, seaweed-based products, together with a new non-pesticidal disease management concept.

New Charterhouse launches at BTME

New Charterhouse launches at BTME: A brand-new addition to the renowned Redexim Verti-Drain range will be a particular highlight on the Charterhouse Turf Machinery stand at BTME 2020.

Expanding the existing offering with a new 1.9m working width, it is ideal for use on a variety of turf surfaces. Visitors to stand 432 in the Purple Zone will also be able to find out about the new 6m wide Top-Brush for course presentation, removal of organic matter and dispersal of worm casts.

New Charterhouse launches at BTME

The Verti-Drain 2519 is considered the next generation of high-speed, high-productivity aerator. It combines it’s 1.9m working width with a variable working depth of up to 250mm (10”) and can accept a range of tine options including 12mm and 19mm solid tines, as well as hollow tines for coring. This versatility makes it a popular choice with greenkeepers, groundsmen and contractors alike looking for a machine suitable for year-round operation. As standard, the 2519 features user-friendly controls, an easy to adjust heave lever and a new draw rod system. Together with new features, it also comes with new styling and livery.

As well as updates to the aeration portfolio, Charterhouse will also be launching a new tool into their brush range. As an ever-increasing number of chemicals continue to be withdrawn from the market, Course Managers are turning to mechanical forms of maintenance to keep surfaces balanced and reduce contributing factors to disease. Brushing stands the grass plant upright, helping to achieve a cleaner quality of cut and can rid the surface of excess moisture and dew to maintain good airflow through the turf canopy.

The Redexim Top-Brush’s 6m working width makes it ideal for large areas such as golf fairways and sports pitches. It is comprised of 3 poly brushes, that can be accurately set to the desired depth to achieve a light surface brush-in or more aggressively loosen surface material. The ‘wings’ can then be hydraulically lifted and folded for convenient transportation and storage.
