New addition to the SCAG Stand-on mower range

New addition to the SCAG Stand-on mower range: The V-Ride is a stand-on mower designed for professional use; the compact machine size, ease of manouevering and clear view for the operator have lead to the V-Ride becoming increasingly popular for intricate mowing areas.

The Ride-On SCAG machines, because they are purpose-built for grasscutting, place the operator directly above the cutting deck, and one of the main features on the new V-Ride is that the revised configuration of the stand-on deck follows the same concept, placing the operator nearer the centre of the machine.

New addition to the SCAG Stand-on mower range

The new version of the original V-Ride was announced in 2017 and had revised features that exhibit SCAG’s policy of continuous improvement and response to operator feedback, which combine to make them such a successful machinery manufacturer.

The latest machine in the range addresses the need for gate-access –

the new 2020 V-Ride 32 version.

The V-Ride 32A-16FX:

  • 32” Advantage Deck
  • 16HP Kawasaki FX
  • Electric start
  • Drive wheels: 20 x 6.5 – 10
  • Fuel capacity: 4 gallons
  • New style 2020 V-Ride operator pad
  • All other features as on the 36” V-Ride

Farol use new Foley Company Grinders

Farol use new Foley Company Grinders: Farol Golf and Turf Machinery Limited has purchased a Foley Company Accu-Pro 633 with Accu-Touch 3 Control and an Accu-Pro 661AT bedknife grinder to bolster their essential grinding operation.

Grinding is an integral part of the company’s business and is fundamental to what they offer to the golf and leisure industries. Their current relief grinder, an Accu-Master 650, has proved popular with technicians and was one of the reasons they decided to go with Foley again and continue working with ProSport UK Ltd. www.prosportukltd.com

Farol use new Foley Company Grinders

When it came time to decide on new grinders, after-sales manager for golf and turf, Oliver Longden, consulted with the technicians and appraised the Foley machines against others on the market.

“We had a look around at what else was available, but there was nothing comparable for what we need to do,” Oliver explained. “Our guys are already familiar with the Foley machines, and we’ve had a good history with our Accu-Master. We’ll continue using it alongside the Accu-Pro 633 during the peak grinding season because it still does exactly what we need it to.

“The most significant benefit with the 633 against other manufacturers is being able to relief grind correctly. We can relief grind any units without having to make massive changes to the machine, whereas with other manufacturers you must take a part off or swap something over and it all takes time.  With the Accu-Pro you can switch from 7 to 11 to whatever number of blades, easily and quickly.

“Once it’s set up everything is automated so the guys can get on with stripping down the next unit while it’s working, because you don’t have to keep coming back to it to make adjustments.

“The training function was another big plus for us. We sometimes get new technicians who haven’t used the machine before. It’s a very good feature because it shows them a step by step set-up and how to work it, so anyone can jump on it straight away and get going.”

The Accu-Pro 633 uses Accu-Touch 3 Control to fully automate spin and relief grinding. It features the automatic reel selector and cylinder height stop which automatically locates the reel for a fast and easy spin and relief grind in one quick set-up. Pre-set relief angles are easily identified on the relief angle adjuster, allowing technicians to effortlessly grind the correct angles and achieve proper clearances for each reel type.

The simplicity of operating the Accu-Pro 633 is mirrored in the Accu-Pro 661 AT bedknife grinder and was another important consideration for Oliver.

He said: “The selling point for us is that it’s a very simple and easy machine to use. We needed a machine that all the technicians with varying skill levels could use. Someone who has little experience of grinding can work just as well as someone with 20-years’ experience, and that ensures consistent quality. And again, once it’s set up and going, you can leave it to do the job and get on with other work, and that’s really the beauty of it.”

Farol recognises that when it comes to cutting, it is ultimately the blade’s that do the job. To achieve the best cut possible, they need to be sharp and restored to how they function best, which is by relief grinding them back to the original manufacturer’s own specification.

Bobcat presents new telescopic loaders

Bobcat presents new telescopic loaders: The top-of-the-range TL43.80HF Agri telescopic loader will be shown for the first time on the Doosan Bobcat Stand No 17.310 in Hall 17 at the LAMMA agricultural machinery show in Birmingham in the UK from 7-8 January 2020.

Bobcat will also show the TL30.60 model, which with the TL43.80HF is part of the newly expanded Bobcat range of seven telescopic loaders for the farming market covering maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.3 tonne with lifting heights from 6 to 8 m.

Bobcat presents new telescopic loaders

Another feature of the Bobcat LAMMA stand will be tracked loaders from Bobcat, emphasising some of the advantages they offer over wheeled machines in terms of traction, stability and lift capacity. These will include the first appearance in the UK of the Bobcat S70 quad-tracked concept machine, featuring quad-tracks that are bolted on to the frame of the loader. Alongside, Bobcat will also be showing the company’s smallest compact track loader – the T450.

Best Loading Productivity for Agriculture

The TL43.80HF Agri*** provides a real solution for the heavy-duty, high-productivity segment of the agricultural market, combining several new features to take lift capacity, lifting height and breakout force to unprecedented levels. Thanks to a maximum lift capacity of 4.3 tonne and a maximum lift height of almost 8 m, combined with the fastest boom movement available in this market and the high 190 l/min hydraulic flow, farmers are now able to lift more, faster and to use higher capacity buckets for the highest loading productivity available.

In addition, unlike any other manufacturer on the market, all Bobcat telescopic loaders including the TL43.80HF and TL30.60 are covered by a three year/3000-hour warranty as standard. There is also the option of extending the warranty to five years/5000 hours.

Adapting For Any Terrain With Tracks

The T450 presents what is already available in the market-leading compact track loader range from Bobcat. This is due to their unique characteristics as tool carriers and the wide array of attachments that they can work with, from trenchers, augers, graders, soil conditioners, scarifiers and dozer blades to more specialist attachments such as flail cutters and wood chippers. As tool carriers, compact track loaders can provide increased productivity in many conditions with a lifting capacity approximately 25% more than the equivalently sized wheeled loaders.

Low Ground Pressure

Approximately three times less than wheeled machines, the low ground disturbance of compact track loaders allows them to work on delicate surfaces, such as established lawns or asphalt roads for surface repair and utility work, minimizing damage and reducing the need for tidying up after the job is complete. While wheeled machines may outperform tracked machines for sheer manoeuvrability on hard surfaces, the rubber tracked undercarriage on track loaders ensures improved traction and stability on rough terrain; soft, sandy surfaces and in wet, muddy conditions.

Campey’s new AllTrec Tool Carrier

Campey’s new AllTrec Tool Carrier: Campey Turf Care Systems has launched the 100% electric AllTrec Tool Carrier to the UK market, with zero CO2-emissions during operation and low noise output.

Being environmentally responsible is an important cause of many companies and councils. Using the AllTrec allows essential maintenance to be completed with zero emissions, helping to improve green spaces without damaging the wider environment.

Campey's new AllTrec Tool Carrier

The machine has been designed by Dutch manufacturer, WeedControl B.V., to be the perfect solution for zero-emissions mowing. With its sharp turning capabilities, it is agile enough to work in small enclosed spaces while also having been designed to work on large areas with a long-lasting battery to match its versatility. The running time is entirely dependent on the circumstances, but when cutting with the four-blade 180cm deck, the battery will typically last for 6-8 hours and 7-9 hours using the three-blade 130cm deck. Both decks feature rear ejection and allow height of cut adjustments from 30mm-110mm.

It can also be used with a number of other attachments including the weed controller, weed brush, and hedge cutter.

The electrically driven hedge cutter can be fully operated using a joystick, making it easy to operate for a day of work, while the LPG tanks used for the E-Variator Weed Burner can be mounted to the back of the AllTrec, with a connection for the automatic tank heater to prevent them from freezing. Weeds can also be tackled using the Weedbrush, which can be hydraulically adjusted to any angle, and used for a full day without any worry of batteries running out.

Campey's new AllTrec Tool Carrier

A large-action radius and highly efficient attachments combined with low operation and maintenance costs makes the AllTrec perfect for use in urban environments, sports complexes, holiday resorts and parks by contractors, local authorities and landscapers.

All batteries come with a three-year warranty and have a lifetime of + – 2500 charge discharge cycles. The 48VDC battery uses LifePO4 technology with a capacity of 20kwh or an optional 30kwh, with onboard charging taking 4-8 hours.

New Bobcat M-Series at Agritechnica

New Bobcat M-Series at Agritechnica: Bobcat, the leading manufacturer of compact equipment, is presenting its new M-Series Stage V compliant skid-steer loaders to the general public for the first time at Agritechnica 2019.

Also on show at Agritechnica (Hanover, Germany – Stand D04, Hall 6) are several highlights from Bobcat’s wide range of telescopic loaders, mini-excavators, compact track loaders and agricultural attachments.

New Bobcat M-Series at Agritechnica

World fair premiere: M-Series skid-steer loaders with more power, same compact size and new design

The redesigned M-Series S450, S510 and S530 models will receive their official premiere at a world fair, having been introduced to a select group of customers at the Bobcat Demo Days in Dobříš in the Czech Republic in October this year. Equipped with a specially developed Stage V compliant Bobcat engine, the new skid-steer loaders offer greater power, enhanced comfort and optimised maintenance. Cleverly designed, they maintain the compact dimensions of this legendary series. As effortlessly as ever, they can manoeuvre in the smallest spaces, and transport is easy thanks to their low weight. The new models, commercially available from January 2020, will also be the first Bobcat machines for the European market to carry the company’s new branding design.

Popular options, such as air-conditioning, the deluxe instrument panel and high-flow auxiliary hydraulics now come as standard with the 500 series models. Thanks to an additional 37% of torque and faster recovery from overload compared to previous models, the operator obtains the same power at lower engine speeds, reduced noise levels and lower fuel consumption. In addition, the diesel particulate filter, included as standard, makes it possible to work in areas with strict emission standards.

As well as the new M-Series skid-steer loaders, Bobcat’s T590 compact track loader is being shown in an increasingly popular configuration for forestry applications. And the introduction of Bobcat’s Quad-track skid-steer loader concept is another highlight at this year’s Agritechnica. The bolt-on/bolt-off quad-tracks allow machines to be adapted even more flexibly to different environments and applications. At this point, Quad-track is still a concept in the evaluation phase. Several powerful demonstrations will provide Agritechnica visitors with insights into product development along with machine and concept evaluation at Bobcat.

Bobcat telescopic loaders

Popular in many industries, the Bobcat TL30.70 and TL43.80HF telescopic loaders are being exhibited on the Agritechnica stand. The company’s range of telehandlers now encompasses 15 different rigid frame machines with lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.3 tonne and lifting heights from 6 to 18 m.

The TL30.70 compact telescopic loader offers a maximum lifting capacity of 3 tonne and a maximum lifting height of almost 7 metres – the perfect choice for many applications in construction and agriculture. A compact and economic alternative to larger 7-metre models, the TL30.70 excels above all in small work areas where outstanding manoeuvrability is a priority.

The TL43.80HF, despite its compact dimensions, provides an impressive lifting capacity of 4.3 tonne and a maximum lifting height of almost 8 m. With a selection of three different ‘AGRI’ packages, the TL43.80HF is available in several formats for the agricultural market. Earlier this year, it was also introduced in a ‘Waste Expert’ version, designed specifically for use in the harsh conditions of the waste and recycling industry.

Bobcat mini-excavators and the market’s largest attachment range

From its successful range of mini-excavators, Bobcat is demonstrating the E20z model. This 2-tonne model comes with Zero House Swing (ZHS) functionality, offering free 320 degree rotation and enabling work near buildings without compromising on comfort or performance. In addition to a great breakout force, this high-performance excavator provides excellent hydraulics performance, high operating comfort and easy maintenance access.

With a choice of over 100 types of attachment, each individual Bobcat machine becomes a versatile all-rounder for many tasks in agriculture, horticulture, landscaping, building and road construction as well as the recycling industry.
