Plus, it has a climbing ability of 20 percent meaning it’s just as good on the hills as it is on the flat.

This noiseless and emissions-free utility buggy can take two passengers at a time and has a hydraulic lift rear cargo utility box with an impressive 670kg (1477lbs) carry capacity.

It features carefully selected components for a smooth ride: there’s a double A-Arm independent suspension with adjustable shock absorbers, a double-ended self-compensating ‘rack and pinion’ steering and QDS drive system with temperature protection.

In addition to the key features above, the little things also matter and all the details that make for comfortable operation have been considered: there’s Bluetooth, a dashboard with digital display, holders for drinks, golf balls and tees and an LED lighting system.

The Capella Work Machine represents a range of 28 lithium and sealed battery-powered utility vehicles from STAR EV and available from Reesink e-Vehicles, which includes electric passenger buggies and small, medium and large capacity electric UTVs and people carriers for up to 23 people. All come with a rapid charge, good mileage per charge, and an extensive warranty – up to six years on batteries.

On stand ready to introduce this exciting buggy option will be Dave French, Reesink e-Vehicles’ new electric vehicle expert. He says: “Wherever you are and whatever sector you’re in, the ability to work more quietly, earlier and for longer will be an advantage. Specifically, urban sports stadiums and training grounds and golf courses and resorts with guest rooms or neighbouring residential areas will notice a big difference by switching to electric power.

“STAR EV is a brand that delivers strong technology, innovation, breadth of range, value proposition and, importantly, peak performance. Electric-powered technology is a fundamental part of the future; it’s growing rapidly, with customers keen to switch and the arrival of the STAR EV range brings more choice.

“The Capella Work Machine is a standout model for any maintenance team looking to get around the grounds easily and efficiently all day long all on a single charge and is well worth a trip to the Reesink e-Vehicles stand at SALTEX.”

Next Gen Husqvarna Riders

Next Gen Husqvarna Riders: Husqvarna — one of the world’s leading producers of forest, park and garden products — launches two new semi-professional out-front mowers built on a new chassis with a new and innovative X-Change drive in-drive out attachment frame. The Husqvarna R 419TsX AWD and the Husqvarna R 420TsX AWD are both Bluetooth® connected Riders with an updated human-machine interface and new strong automotive style LED headlights.

With the new Riders from Husqvarna, the R 419TsX AWD and the R 420TsX AWD, the company takes 30 years’ experience of developing Riders into the next generation. The new platform enables an even more enjoyable riding experience with unique features and added value to extend the success story of Husqvarna Riders. Thanks to the new and innovative X-Change feature, the user can quickly change attachment without the need for belt removal of any tools, saving time and adding to the versatility of the machine. This also eliminates the need for belt removal when putting the cutting deck into service position.

Next Gen Husqvarna Riders

“The new Husqvarna R 419TsX AWD and the Husqvarna R 420TsX AWD are developed for professionals and landowners who need a compact and versatile Rider with commercial performance. The size of the new Riders enables access to tight areas that are hard to reach with bigger machines and reduces the cost for manual work with walk behind mowers or trimmers”, says Daniel Mannerström, Product Portfolio Manager at Husqvarna.

A new HMI (Human-Machine Interface) display communicates with the driver, assists in handling and shows real time data and warnings – increasing overall productivity. The new Riders are compatible with Husqvarna Connect and Husqvarna Fleet Services™ through Bluetooth® connectivity. With Husqvarna Connect, the user gets useful information about the Rider in the Husqvarna Connect app and with Husqvarna Fleet Services™ data is transferred from the Rider, helping contractors manage their fleet of products.

The new Riders also feature all-wheel drive hydrostatic transmissions which vastly improves stability and traction when working in more challenging situations.

Both models are also equipped with automotive style headlights and smart tool carrier. The tool carrier on the engine hood has an easy access 12V outlet making it convenient to charge handheld battery products while you are mowing. The carrier can also be fitted with a cargo holder.

The new Riders from Husqvarna are equipped with new automotive-style LED headlights with 180-degree coverage to increase visibility near and far from the machine. Following thorough ergonomic studies in the initial development of the Riders, Husqvarna created more adjustment possibilities and space for the driver. The updated steering wheel with a fresh, modern design has quick height adjustment as well as comfortable and defined grip areas and a steering wheel knob to increase ergonomics and handling. The articulated power steering makes manoeuvring around obstacles effortless and with an uncut turning circle of 70cm a single pass can be all it takes to navigate around obstacles. The front mounted combi cutting decks allow more to done with the machine, reducing or eliminating the need to carry out follow up work with a trimmer. The Combi decks provide class leading mulch performance recycling the clippings back into the soil improving grass condition. Cutting decks can be easily converted to rear eject for areas of longer grass.

The R 419TsX AWD comes fitted with commercial grade 656 cm3 Briggs & Stratton V-Twin engine and has the option of new X-Change 103cm and 112cm Combi cutting decks. The 400 series range topping R 420TsX AWD is fitted with a powerful commercial grade 724 cm3 Kawasaki V-twin engine and has the option of X-Change 103cm, 112cm and 122cm Combi cutting decks.  A completely new range of X-Change drive in-drive out attachments are also available making the Riders true all year round machines for any situation.

Basildon Facilities Encourage The Next Max Whitlock

Basildon Facilities Encourage The Next Max Whitlock: Basildon sport has received a shot in the arm following the opening of a near £1m scheme at Everyone Active’s Eversley Leisure Centre.

Witham-based ETC Sports Surfaces has installed new 3G football pitches and floodlights for 11-, nine-, seven- and five-a-side football, while contractor Morgan Sindall focused on the centre’s internal development.

Basildon Facilities Encourage The Next Max Whitlock

The sports hall has been transformed into a state-of-the-art gym to add to the Basildon Sporting Village base of South Essex Gymnastic Club (SEGC) that has turned out star members, including Max Whitlock, Amy Tinkler and Brinn Bevan.

Basildon Council has invested £570,000 in the first outdoor all-weather pitch in Pitsea, combined with £230,000 from SEGC and £123,900 from the Veolia Pitsea Marshes Maintenance Trust.

The full size 3G football pitch allows play all year round and provides players with the look and feel of natural turf and all the benefits of a hardwearing, weather and stud-resistant surface.

ETC worked alongside Zaun Ltd, who manufactured and supplied its Duo8 Super Rebound sports fencing system and gates to surround the pitch.

Duo8 Super Rebound forms a robust play area that is highly durable, low maintenance and ‘graffiti-proof’, with great rebound properties similar to a wall and rubber inserts between panels and posts to keep ‘rattle’ during play to a minimum.

Councillor Kevin Blake, Basildon Council’s chairman of the leisure, culture and environment committee, said: “The development of a second gymnastics hub for the borough is a great opportunity for young people to try the sport for the first time.

“Together with the new 3G pitches they will help boost participation in sport and tackle local health inequalities.”

Scarify In Autumn For Benefits Next Year

Scarify In Autumn For Benefits Next Year: Scarification is a vital part of lawn maintenance that involves the removal of thatch or moss from the lawn, helping with air flow and keeping it health. If you do not scarify, debris will build up and lead to other problems. For example, thatchy and mossy lawns will not be very wear or drought tolerant.

It is important to scarify at the right time of year, otherwise you will either risk having an unsightly lawn just when you want to be enjoying it, or you will open it up to more problems and damage. A light de-thatching or scarifying is recommended in spring, just as the weather is heating up, and there is an increase in the growth and recovery of the grass.

Scarify In Autumn For Benefits Next Year

In the autumn, however, is when a more intense, heavier scarification can take place. At this time of year there are a number of jobs to do around the garden to ensure that you leave in the best possible state over winter, and this is one of them. Whilst intense scarification sounds like very hard work, there are machines available to take the strain out of your lawn maintenance. The XC1 B40 from Cub Cadet, for example, steps up to the challenge with a powerful 35 H OHV Cub Cadet engine and a 1.7 litre fuel tank. The 34 verticutter blades, each with a width of 163mm, scratch out the dead grass and moss with ease, allowing in light and rain all the way down to the roots.

The machine also has the added benefit being able to aerate the lawn if necessary. To do this, simply use the higher position with a gentle touch of the blades and springs on the surface of the soil. When scarifying use a deeper blade and spring setting to allow for a more aggressive action on the lawn surface. A central height adjuster knob enables infinite working depth adjustment.

Featuring a wide 35cm working width, the machine has folding handles for easy storage or transport and an optional collection bag for collecting the debris can be purchased if desired, although due to the volume that is raked out of the lawn, most people will find it more effective to go over with their mower to collect the debris.
