ICL Expand SierrablenPlus Range

ICL Expand SierrablenPlus Range: ICL has announced the addition of two new analyses to its leading range of SierrablenPlus fertilizers.

The new products – “Renovator” 11-11-5 + 4CaO + 8MgO and “Turf Starter” 5-28-0 + 16MgO both contain Pearl® Technology, which has been proven to greatly enhance root development.

ICL Expand SierrablenPlus Range

The mini-granular range of SierrablenPlus fertilizers have for many years been a popular choice for those looking to achieve even coverage at low rates for their sports or amenity turf. This is due to the micro-granular formulation containing Poly-S and resin-coated PACE technology with conventional nitrogen sources to provide the best long-term nutrient release patterns.

Depending on the requirement, there are a wide range of solutions in the SierrablenPlus range to supporting healthy turf growth though the season. The latest products to be added to the portfolio, “Renovator” and “Turf Starter”, have been specifically added because of their ability to greatly enhance root development due to the inclusion of Pearl® Technology.

Pearl® Technology blends a unique, recycled, slow-release phosphorus into these 2 new analysesto provide significantly increased rooting and more efficient nutrient use over traditional phosphorus sources.

As with all ICL products, both the “Renovator” and “Turf Starter” have been rigorously tested through independent trials. Data has revealed significantly increased rooting when SierrablenPlus with Pearl® Technology is used  as part of a seedbed preparation and during turf-laying. Furthermore, there was a 2.5 x increase in rooting when compared to another existing high-performing product.

Key features

  • Controlled-release Poly-S nitrogen with 3+ month longevity for strong turf response.
  • Root-activated Pearl® Technology, slow-release phosphorus for increased rooting.
  • Contains Polyhalite with K, CaO and MgO.
  • Includes recycled nutrients N, P and MgO.
  • Earlier harvest time demonstrated when used for turf production.

Both Renovator and Turf Starter are ideal for use in turf production and laying as well as incorporating into the seedbed when renovating stadium pitches, sports fields, tees and fairways.

Hatz Engine Range Engineered For EU Stage V

Hatz Engine Range Engineered For EU Stage V: “Our drive to bring all our engines up to EU Stage V compliance presented us with a series of challenges, but with the development of current technology alongside new engineering advancements made our journey to a successful conclusion a smooth operation” – Joe Wilmer Managing Director Hatz GB Limited.

EU Stage V is set to be implemented throughout the EU including the UK from the start of 2019. This new regulation brings forward a demand to reduce Particulate Matter (PM) alongside extended control of both PM and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx.) emissions.

Hatz Engine Range Engineered For EU Stage V

The European commission states; ‘…engines contribute significantly to air pollution and are accountable for roughly 15% of the NOx and 5% of the PM emissions in the EU…several technical reviews have concluded that the legislation in its current form has shortcomings …….. therefore, and in line with the developments in the road sector, the introduction of new emission stage (Stage V), which would target particle number limits in addition to particle mass limits appeared appropriate’.

Hatz GB can confirm that their range of engines will comply with these regulations. This includes their popular line of single, twin, three and four cylinder engines. All Hatz engines, up to 19 kilowatts, will meet the requirements of EU Stage V without any additional exhaust emission treatment required.

Hatz are now looking further into the future anticipating that deeper cuts in emissions will almost certainly be high on the agenda of both the UK and EU regulatory bodies. With this in mind Hatz engineers are advancing their H series of engines in a push to bring down PM and NOx emissions even further.

In the development of the H-series, Hatz has already placed the emphasis on future stricter exhaust regulations. The specifications for the H-engines include: low fuel and oil consumption, reduced friction losses and reducing the overall physical size of the engine. In addition, the company has introduced an ‘Intelligent Hatz Advanced Combustion Strategy’ (iHACS), which results in fewer particulates being emitted. Engines in the H-series are designed to be extremely compact and offer maximum flexibility for installation into an end product. The H series are available as an Open Power Unit (OPU) and noise reduction, by around 60%, are achieved with their optional New Silent Pack set.

OEM’s, machinery manufacturers and all users of diesel powered machinery can view many examples of the Hatz EU Stage V compliant engines at the forthcoming Executive Hire Show, held at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena on 6th and 7th February 2019 (www. executivehireshow.co.uk).

Hatz diesel engines have been around since 1910. From their manufacturing base situated at Ruhstorf, Germany, Hatz produce a range of modern diesel engines from 3 to 55 kW. Their UK subsidiary, Hatz GB Limited, has its facilities centrally located in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

ECHO’s New 58V Range

ECHO’s New 58V Range: Battery power for garden and groundcare tools has now been around for some time. However, it’s only since the advent of powerful lithium-ion batteries that electric power could really compete against petrol two-stroke. Now, a new generation of lithium-ion products has arrived and ECHO outdoor power tools are at the forefront with their new range of 58 Volt battery products. This product range includes a battery hedgetrimmer, trimmer, lawn mower, power blower and chainsaw for semi-professional and domestic use.

When you consider the benefits of electric power, it’s easy to see why it has grown so quickly since lithium-ion batteries became commercial. The obvious features are batteries that produce the same power as petrol engined tools, with no exhaust emissions and without the need to store petrol and mix two-stroke. No effort is required to get started. You just charge and go, cutting, trimming, blowing leaves and mowing with virtually no noise or vibration.

ECHO's New 58V Range

Today’s 58V batteries are designed to give you more than enough power in constant use to carry out most tasks. The ECHO interchangeable battery system is available with two options, 2Ah and 4Ah. The hedgetrimmer, trimmer and power blower come with a standard 2Ah battery but if you’re looking for a longer run time you have the option of a 4Ah battery, and remember, you only need the one. Recharging is fast with the Quick Charger, ensuring 30 minutes charging time for the 2Ah and 60 minutes for the 4Ah, and you can always buy a spare battery as a back-up if required. Buy the chainsaw or mower and they come with a 4Ah battery as standard, so you would have the benefit of the extra run time for other products you might need.

ECHO battery products are built to the same professional standards as all their products, so they are solid, durable and ergonomic. As there are no moving parts no engine servicing is required, which means there is another cost saving in addition to no longer needing to buy petrol. ECHO 58V lithium-ion battery products come with a two-year domestic or one-year professional warranty and there is a two-year warranty on the batteries.

Simon Richard Range Attracts Attention

Simon Richard Range Attracts Attention: A recent joint A-Plant and Land & Water event to showcase products available to the Environment Agency was used by Simon Richard Ltd, along with Loxston Groundcare to demonstrate the value of the Reform bank tractor, Muthing flail and Woods Equipment ranges.

Simon Richard said, ‘’the event was a great opportunity to demonstrate our products, particularly the recently launched Reform Metron P48 RC, the first radio controlled equipment carrier with real hybrid drive.

Simon Richard Range Attracts Attention

The Metron’s concept is based on a 48hp Kubota petrol engine powering a generator which supplies energy to the battery pack and the electric wheel motors. Metron can also have other power sources such as Hydrogen cell, when available. The generator has a direct drive which drives the mechanical front PTO shaft, allowing Metron to operate all attachments mechanically.  Control at up to 400 metres range is via a powerful, ergonomic radio hand-set with integrated colour display.

The hybrid drive also allows Metron to operate purely electrically. If more power is required, the petrol engine can be switched on quickly and easily. Permanent all-wheel drive to four same size wheels, low centre of gravity and five different steering modes combine to give optimum slope capability. A range of attachments such as flail mowers, rotary mowers, snow blowers, ploughs, brooms and much more can be easily mounted and Metron’s compact dimensions and 1,000 kg weight make it is easy to transport and operate in tight conditions”
