STIHL extends cordless pole pruner range: STIHL has extended its range of lightweight cordless pole pruners with the introduction of the new HTA 135, the manufacturers most powerful model to date, designed for professional arborists, landscapers and commercial enterprises.

Quiet in operation and perfect for working in noise-sensitive areas, the HTA 135 comes fitted with a 3/8” PMM3 semi-chisel, anti kickback saw chain providing precision, high cutting performance and low-pinch tendencies. The HTA 135 also features a square telescopic shaft that can be quickly adjusted between 285cm and 405cm using the new twist and click adjuster. A square shaft for increased rigidity prevents twisting and deflection, delivering a precise cut even at full extension.

In addition, operators can simply manage the three speed selection levels thanks to a comfortable control handle with an intuitive LED display. The HTA 135 can also be worn with an RTS harness to take the tools weight away from the arms, distributing it across the shoulders and waist.

When used in conjunction with STIHL’s AP 300 S battery system, the HTA 135 has a run time of up to 45 minutes.

The LM001CZ is powered by a 36V high power drive system using Makita’s portable power packs (backpack battery systems) for long, continuous mowing. Operators can choose between the PDC01 that utilises four replaceable 18V LXT batteries or the PDC1200 33Ah solid state battery. With three cutting modes to choose from and the ability to adjust the cutting height (20mm – 100mm) to suit the terrain, users can ensure the machine is optimised to suit its working environment.

Mark Earles, Business Development Manager for garden machinery at Makita said: “The LM001CZ is a durable machine, meaning users do not have to worry about expensive ongoing maintenance costs. We know that when working outdoors, machines need to be able to withstand the unpredictable British weather, which is why the LM001CZ has been designed with IPX4 rating for improved water resistance. It also features a robust steel cutting deck and built-in ball bearings on the axels for added durability.”

The LM001CZ has been designed to ensure operator comfort and control with two stage handle height adjustment and soft start technology. The self-propelled function also minimises user fatigue – and it can be easily turned on using a switch lever. For ease, the grass box has a grass level indicator to signal the correct time for emptying.

Nutrigrow expands sports turf range

Nutrigrow expands sports turf range: Nutrigrow has expanded their Sports Turf range of fertilisers with the introduction of Nutrigrow CRF, a controlled release fertiliser that has been specifically designed for sports turf.

NutrigrowCRF has been formulated to release nutrients for 4‐6 months, based on an average temperature of 20C. In testing Nutrigrow have seen a significant longer release period during the cooler months, which has led to Groundsmen applying the product in late Autumn.

As there are still growing days over the Winter months then the nutrient will be released and feed the turf. This has led to far healthier pitches and other sports surfaces going into the Spring when turf generally looks very weak and poor.

Nutrigrow CRF is formulated from 60% polymer coated urea, 2% MgO, and has an NPK content of 20‐0‐15. It is spread at a rate of 25‐50g per m² and can be spread by hand or more accurately using a mechanical fertiliser spreader. The granule size is typically 2‐3mm and a single 25kg bag can cover 500‐1000m².

Available in both 25kg and 1000kg bags, Nutrigrow are thrilled to supply this to sports organisations across the country, along with free advice and treatment plans.
