Turf Revival is used for post renovation recovery on the golf course and a range of other professional and commercial lawn situations. Its balanced WSN to SRN supplies a balanced N release without excessive yield, and supplies organic-rich and biologically stable humus, humic acids, beneficial microorganisms, VA mycorrhizae and other organic nutrients to recovery plants from all renovation practices.

Ideal for use in conjunction with spring/summer and autumn renovation work, Turf Revival optimises plant recovery, conditions for germination and establishment – while providing long-lasting source organic plant nutrition, for ongoing plant health.

Another product developed to assist plant establishment is Suståne® 4-6-4 organic granulated slow-release nitrogen fertiliser. 4-6-4 is formulated to be gentle on plants, making it the perfect solution for spreading with seed and applying to seedlings in both fine turf and landscape environments. This ‘complete’ blend contains slow-release nitrogen (SRN) and is derived from purely beneficial aerobically composted material, allowing for organic microorganisms to help replenish life in poor soils.

Turf Revival 6-2-4 + VAM  and 4-6-4 are just two products in a comprehensive portfolio of natural fertilisers and soil builders, both designed to bring maximum microbial benefit and long-lasting nutrition, with minimal environmental impact. GKB to showcase a range of machines at SALTEX

GKB to showcase a range of machines at SALTEX: No trip to SALTEX is complete without a stop by the bright and bold stand of GKB Machines! This year, stand H051 has been redesigned to maximise visual impact and make space for a wide range of machinery from across GKB’s portfolio of maintenance solutions for natural, hybrid and synthetic surfaces.

Part of the wider GKB Group, GKB Machines has been developing innovative machinery solutions since 1985. Using the knowledge and experience gained from their contracting division, the range is renowned for its robust build quality, functionality and efficiency – with the customers’ needs at the core of every design.

GKB to showcase a range of machines at SALTEX

GKB to showcase a range of machines at SALTEX

From the natural offering, particular highlights include the Deep Tine Aerator (DTA) and GKB Sandspreader. The Sandspreader range features four models, offering hopper capacities between 1m3 and 4m3 to cater for fine turf, sports turf and contractor applications. The material is transported from the hopper to the adjustable metering valve via an internal conveyor belt, before being efficiently and evenly distributed via the double disc hydraulic spinners. As well as trailed and mounted formats, GKB also offer the SPM model, which features a side material handler for the convenient filling of bunkers or trenches.

On synthetics, one important fact to consider when it comes to both the usage and maintenance of a surface is minimising the migration of infill into the environment. With the use of a synthetic pitch, infill will naturally tend to disperse outwards towards the pitch perimeters which is where effective maintenance will be needed, to ensure infill is returned to the higher use areas where it is required for surface stability and playability.

The easiest way to achieve this is via brushing, for which GKB have a range of options. The 4m wide Brush is ideal for quick surface coverage, with hydraulically foldable wings for convenient transportation and storage, while the GKB Quick-Brush can be configured with a range of optional extras including a rake or rubber finishing mat to suit individual requirements. Also in the GKB stable is the Rotobrush, equipped with a rotating brush head which can switch between clockwise and anti-clockwise operation, which effectively collects infill accumulations from the perimeter and move it towards the centre of the surface.

The GKB team will be on hand to answer any technical questions over the course of the two days, and look forward to seeing customers old and new this November.

Cobra to showcase key products at Saltex and Groundsfest

Cobra to showcase key products at Saltex and Groundsfest: Henton and Chattell has announced that it will be showcasing the Cobra brand at two upcoming events this year. The company will be returning to Saltex, held on 1st and 2nd November at the NEC in Birmingham, and is excited to announce its debut at GroundsFest, taking place at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire on 20th and 21st September.

The two events represent key industry opportunities to showcase the Cobra range to customers, dealers and stockists – as well as presenting invaluable chances to network, including directly with buyers.

Both Saltex and GroundsFest will also be a great chance for Cobra to demonstrate the capabilities of the Fortis cylinder mowers and lawn tractor ranges – both of which were launched earlier this year.

The Fortis range combines eight machines in one to give the ultimate package for creating picture perfect lawns, and are the first powered cylinder mowers to be launched by Cobra. It features four mowers, starting with a compact 14” model powered by a Loncin petrol engine, and then the 17”, 20” and 25” all featuring Briggs & Stratton engines for extra power for larger lawns.

What makes the Fortis machines the ultimate in lawncare however, is their ability to transform into seven other machines to ensure that lawns are immaculate and healthy. The Fortis six-bladed cassette can simply be removed and replaced with another accessory cassette in the range to switch its use. Other cartridges include a verticutter, scarifier, dethatcher, aerator, turf rake, lawn brush and 10-blade cassette.

For those with larger lawns to tend to, Cobra’s new range of ride-on lawnmowers provides a high-quality, yet wallet-friendly option. Starting with compact LT62 rider models, each with a 24” cutting width and comfortable seat, these have a particular focus on manoeuvrability, allowing gardeners to flow and mow around their lawns.

Those with larger areas to mow will appreciate one of the other new six ride-on tractors available. With cutting widths ranging from 33” up to 42”, and choices again being manual and hydrostatic gear changing, as well as a twin cutting blade and the option to collect the cuttings, release them back to the ground or turn them to mulch. They also offer enhanced comfort with a padded seat and easy electric key starting.

To find out more about these new ranges, to see them demonstrated, meet the team and discover the difference a Cobra lawnmower can make, be sure to visit GroundsFest and Saltex this year. GroundsFest combines indoor business and education opportunities with outdoor demonstrations, providing an interactive experience which strengthens the connection between exhibitors and visitors. Saltex is Europe’s largest free turf management show, where visitors can hear from industry experts, and see the latest technologies and product development from over 400 leading brands. To pick up tickets for Groundsfest, visit https://groundsfest.com/ and for Saltex visit https://www.saltex.org.uk/.

Vanmac to showcase quality contour cutting

Vanmac to showcase quality contour cutting: As restrictions on curative chemistries continue to pose a challenge to course managers, it is now more critical than ever that every operation conducted above ground has plant health at its core.

As the most regular task, mowing can have either a positive or negative impact on the plant depending on whether the correct cutting performance can be attained. This will be the focus for Vanmac as they return to BTME in 2023, showcasing a range of rotary and multi-deck mowers from Progressive that offer industry-leading cut quality and contour-following ability.

Vanmac to showcase quality contour cutting

The Progressive TDR-X features three independently floating decks which promise to closely follow undulations without the risk of scalping – thereby reducing the risk of creating entry points for pathogens to take hold. A 3.2m cutting width and easily adjustable cutting height range of between 10mm and 85mm gives complete versatility for use on both fine and sports turf surfaces, with full width rollers on both the front and rear of each deck leaving a first-class finish.

Along with other machines in the Progressive range, the TDR-X features Pro Lift-N-Turn™ technology, which enables the operator to temporarily lift the decks with the PTO still engaged, increasing manoeuvrability and overall productivity.

The TDR-X will be on show on stand 526 alongside the Pro-Flex 120 – the most widely used trailed contour finishing mower. The Pro-Flex is ideal for producing a fine finish on fairways and surrounds, featuring a high blade tip speed and graduated cut height options down to 25mm for uniformity of cut and unbeatable versatility. Totalling 3m in width, each of the three decks is equipped with a shock absorber to tackle cutting tasks on even the toughest, uneven ground.

If it’s cut and collect on the agenda, then Vanmac have that covered too with the Trilo range of multi-purpose collector units. The Trilo M4 can be configured with a variety of shaft options – including a choice of flail rotor styles – and features a powerful fan to lift the mown material up into the 4m3 hopper, leaving a clean finish after a single pass. Scarifier and brush shafts are also available for the M-Series to complete tasks across the full maintenance calendar.

GKB to showcase Leaf Reducer

GKB to showcase Leaf Reducer: GKB Machines will be retuning to SALTEX for 2022, showcasing a new solution to the problem of large-area leaf clearance. The GKB Leaf Reducer offers an economic and environmentally-friendly alternative to the time-consuming task of leaf collection – effectively mulching the material and returning it, and its nutrients, back into the surface to the benefit of impoverished soils.

This, and many other innovative machinery solutions for natural, hybrid and synthetic surfaces, will be on show on stand H051.

GKB to showcase Leaf Reducer

GKB to showcase Leaf Reducer

The Leaf Reducer has been developed in direct response to demand from local authorities, looking for a more sustainable working method to using blowers, vacuums and trucks to collect and dispose of fallen leaves. In a single pass, the flails on the Leaf Reducer collect the leaves before a turbine provides both initial fragmentation and the airflow needed to pull the material into the machine where it is further milled into a fine mulch. The fine ‘porridge-like’ material is then returned to the surface via a rear ejector which can be adjusted to a desired direction depending on the location.

In trials conducted by municipalities in The Netherlands, it has proven not just to deliver labour and cost savings to the task but has proven effective at returning an all-important source of food and nutrients back into the soil. The Leaf Reducer is available with a 1.5m working width, and an adjustable working height to treat areas with both low and higher heights of cut.

The technical team will be on hand to discuss this and other products from the GKB range including the Deep-Clean, for effective cleaning and removal of contaminants from synthetic surfaces and the Deep Tine Aerator (DTA). The DTA is available in four working widths to suit both fine and sports turf surfaces and offers effective compaction relief down to depths of up to 400mm (16”). The DTA features GKB’s unique tine mounting system, utilising ‘blocks’ instead of individual mountings, allowing for more tines per head and reducing downtime when switching between sets

ATT showcase abundance of new features

ATT showcase abundance of new features: ATT will be returning to SALTEX for 2022, showcasing their popular INFINICUT® and TMSystem™ ranges on stand H070. As the only professional sports turf mower that has been specifically designed with electric power and not a re-purposed petrol variant, it maintains best in class for both efficiency and quality of cut.

The continued recurring increase in global energy costs now makes the INFINICUT® a serious consideration when deliberating the move to electrically powered equipment. On their stand at the NEC, the ATT team will have a handy software programme which can help calculate payback on energy which could help to validate any decisions in making the transfer.

ATT showcase abundance of new features

ATT showcase abundance of new features

As has come to be expected with the quick-moving design team at ATT, visitors will also be able to see a wealth of new INFINICUT® features, including the extension of the range of battery’s they offer to include a new 105AH Lithium variant – allowing users to specify whatever duty cycle is required, with zero compromise. The full range of batteries available can be swapped between mowers in the INFINICUT® collection, resulting in even greater versatility and optimised fleet management.

Under the hood, ATT have continued to refine the electrical architecture of the INFINICUT® with design emphasis on simplification and fewer contact points. Firmware has also been upgraded, as has their popular InfiniApp which is now available for download direct from the iOS App Store. Through the App, every aspect of the mowing operation can be optimised to ensure the attainment of the perfect cut.

In response to the additional technical variations in the way pitches can now be reinforced, INFINICUT® mowers can now accommodate adjustable/removable weight kits for situations where increased down pressure is required. The weight kits can easily be removed when gravity readings are at optimal levels.

A trailing seat is also now offered on 34” variant mowers – extending the versatility of where and how the mowers operate.

Completing the abundance of new innovations, the recently introduced brush system used on the INFINICUT® SM34 Rotary mower will also be on display. This set-up is the only one that sees the brush sit behind the front roller, ensuring maximum grass agitation prior to cutting or vacuuming.

Who will be exhibiting at SAGE 2022?

Many different types of businesses will be exhibiting at the event and employees from local authorities, education establishments and contractors will benefit from the chance to see a wide range of playground equipment in action.

It is very rare that there is a venue large enough to enable playground equipment manufacturers to set up the equipment to allow a hands-on demonstration. This set up allows the people responsible for procuring playground equipment to get more insight into the quality and functionality of the equipment they order.

Opportunities for local businesses

Businesses selling playground equipment, as well as sports and grounds maintenance products such as machinery, turf care, workwear and chemicals for grounds are invited to exhibit by booking a stand at this much-anticipated event.

Employees from local authorities and schools will be in attendance to see demonstrations of playground equipment, so this is a great opportunity for equipment suppliers and installation contractors to make key connections.

Due to the large volumes of people working in the sports and grounds maintenance sector who will be in attendance, the event will be a great marketing opportunity for businesses to meet customers face-to-face and build up sales leads.

If you are interested in exhibiting at SAGE 2022 you can book a stand here, or if you are interested in visiting the event you can register on the website.
