idverde Brings Mixto To BTME: Visitors to this year’s BIGGA Turf Management Exhibition (BTME) will have the opportunity to get their feet on the Mixto hybrid turf system.

idverde, the UK’s exclusive supplier and installer of Mixto, is excited to bring the innovative sports surface to Europe’s leading exhibition for turf professionals and buyers, with a stand featuring a mini Mixto football pitch so that visitors can try it out for themselves.

Mixto is a reinforced natural hybrid surface, consisting of a synthetic and a natural grass component. The added strength from the artificial turf improves the durability of the pitch, with playing time increased to around three times that of natural turf, and with no noticeable change in surface performance to players.

The Mixto hybrid turf system has recently been installed at Peterborough United FC (“The Posh”), where it has received excellent feedback from the grounds team for its quality and durability. The hybrid sports surface has also been chosen by some of the biggest and best international clubs, including Real Madrid and A.C. Milan, as well as 2018 World Cup semi-final venue, Zenit Arena in St Petersburg.

But Mixto is not just for sports fields. The system can be deployed wherever a hard-wearing grass surface is paramount. It has applications in golf, parks and public amenity areas. This year idverde has teamed up with Rigby Taylor, who will be offering the Mixto system for small areas in the form of a self-install kit. The self-install system is ideal for all areas where there is heavy footfall, giving unprecedented levels of wearability. Rigby Taylor will also be offering exclusively a Mixto kit using our longer pile carpet, specifically for areas of golf courses that are likely to wear in play. Rigby Taylor “IN PLAY” once installed, behaves just like natural grass, allowing golfers to take a divot with their shot whilst still providing all the advantages of a hybrid gras surface.

AMS Return To BTME

AMS Return To BTME: AMS (Automated Management Services) will once again showcase their robotic grounds care solution in Harrogate at BTME 2019. The automated ball wash and transportation system along with the Belrobotics robot mower and range ball collector will be exhibited on stand 139 in the blue zone.

AMS’s robotic maintenance solutions are designed for large green space areas where turf maintenance is required such as sport pitches/fields and golf facilities.

The robot mower can cover areas of up to 24,000 m2 and cut the grass between 5-7 times a week. The robot ball collector can cover 30,000m2 and drops the collected range balls into a ball pit, which washes and transports the balls back to the dispenser.

Campey To Attend GIS 2019

Campey To Attend GIS 2019: Campey Turf Care Systems will be attending the Golf Industry Show (GIS) 2019 in San Diego with Dakota and Air 2G2 GT Air Inject.

The GIS is one of golf’s premier learning and networking events and representatives from Campey, Richard Campey, Ben Taylor and Dave Harrison, will be joining colleagues from Air 2G2, booth 3817-3816, and Dakota, booth 3552, to provide expert insight into the machines and their use on Europe’s most prestigious golf courses.

Campey sells the Air2G2 Air Inject GT around the globe and since introducing it into the United Kingdom and Europe, it has become incredibly popular and is now in operation at a majority of leading golf venues.
