Redexim return to SALTEX: Redexim are excited to be making their post-pandemic return to SALTEX with a new stand providing the platform to showcase their vast portfolio of equipment critical to successful sports turf maintenance.

As their 40th anniversary celebrations continue, the latest iteration of where it all began – the iconic Verti-Drain® – will feature on stand M075, where visitors will also have the opportunity to enter Redexim’s big birthday competition for a chance of winning a ‘fast and furious’ prize!

The very first Verti-Drain® rolled off the production line in 1980, with Redexim UK gaining the rights to sell the now iconic aerator from their inception in 1982. Such was the success and impression that the Verti-Drain® made on the professional market, the name became an eponym for the operation of opening up the ground, with grounds managers to this day understanding the benefits of ‘Verti-Draining’ on a regular basis. Over the years, models were introduced that opened new doors with contractors and golf courses, and while the concept of the Verti-Drain® has been often imitated, its quality has never been matched.

The latest model, the Redexim Verti-Drain® 2519, has now set the benchmark when it comes to high-speed, high-productivity aerators. Featuring a 1.9m working width and an ability to accept a wide range of tine options, the 2519 can cover almost 9000 sq.m per hour thanks to its PTO speed of up to 540rpm. This efficiency, combined with Redexim reliability, has made it a popular choice with both greenkeepers and grounds managers alike.

As thoughts turn to the autumn and the aeration season ahead, thoughts will also be turning to the spectacle that is the FIFA World Cup, kicking off a fortnight after SALTEX. To mark the world’s largest football celebration, and in conjunction with their 40th anniversary, Redexim will be inviting visitors to predict the outcome of this year’s tournament for their chance to be the lucky winner of an experience to remember.

Team Sprayers take Demount Pro to SALTEX: British sprayer manufacturer Team Sprayers will be at SALTEX on the 2nd and 3rd of November on stand CO95 with their range of pedestrian, mounted and self propelled sprayers, including their best-selling Demount Pro Sprayer, which is designed to provide optimum manoeuvrability and precision application.

The Demount Pro was re-designed a few years ago to be shorter and more compact, making it easier to spray difficult areas and is available with manual, electric folding or covered boom systems, all with break back pivot points to protect the booms from accidental damage from unseen obstacles. It also features a flattened tank (in sizes 400l to 800l); offering total vision across the back of the machine.

The Demount Pro is available with either the standard ‘ARAG Bravo 180S Auto-rate Control System’ or the Bravo 400S GPS system with GPS area mapping and individual nozzle control which eliminates overlapping and treating only the specified areas according to the mapping.  Both systems accurately calculate the remaining distance and area that can be sprayed with the current tank content and crucially, automatically adjusts the amount of applied product according to the forward speed of the utility vehicle, therefore optimising efficiencies, saving time and reducing chemical costs. Team’s Managing Director Danny Hubbard said: “We have seen a rise in demand for the Demount Pro with the ARAG Bravo Auto-rate Control Systems; as greenkeepers prioritise precision application due to the results placement accuracy brings. It is available in a wide choice of specifications and can be built to fit a range of utility vehicles including: the Jacobsen Truckster XD, Cushman Truck, Toro Workman and John Deer ProGator, making it a highly versatile sprayer”.

The Velvit range has had some new additions this year. In late spring we launched a brand-new granular wetting agent – SATUGRAN which is now available to purchase through one of our many distributors and has given some very positive results throughout the UKs summer drought.

Due to the high demand of our Onyx range, we have expanded our range of organic fertilisers and biostimulants. ‘Onyx 13-1-2 + 30% amino acids’ is a quality homogeneous organic fertiliser with highly effective biostimulant properties. We have now successfully registered and certified this through OF&G as an approved input for organic use.

Onyx offers a vital food source for soil biology, increasing the resistance to stress, disease and drought. In part this is done by increasing root depth and surface area along with stimulating biology in the rhizosphere, giving the plant increased access to nutrients and water.

Here at GreenBest, we see the development of organic inputs as crucial to the progress of our industry and reduced reliance on synthetic fertilisers. Our goal over the coming years is to further expand our organic and biostiumlant range and move to more sustainable sources.
